Hajime no Ippo (HATED IT)

I am a huge boxing fan and have been since birth. I pride myself on being a boxing historian (as a hobby) and have knowledge of the sport going back 100 years. I also love manga/anime and wanted to give Hajime no Ippo a try because it is manga and boxing two of my greatest loves, I was crushed to find how terrible this was. Mind you I only read the one manga but the whole manga was two guys winding up for ONE PUCH! Now the punch landed and then the episode ends!! Someone talk me off the ledge or confirm to me that this is a bad manga.

IMO, if you are used to reading high quality manga such as Naruto, Hajime No Ippo will truly be considered bad quality considering most of the content per chapter really lacks the climax for it to be considered a whole chapter. Though you might as well try to read a few more chapters to appreciate it. Many may find some chapters(many) of the manga fragmented as I mentioned earlier.Like wasting 10 pages for unnecessary scenes, and/or limiting the chapter into 14 pages leaving readers unsatisfied.
