Hey, u guys hold ur horses. U are not following the story rationally or objectively. In the first part Gaara was genin and Guy a jonin. In fact,we see guy easily cancel out gaara's attack casually. what has happened in the time skip? where from these mysterious powers u are attributing to Gaara? it hasn't been that Gaara has been training whilst guy and kakashi have been relaxing somewhere, having fun and getting a tan? well probably, the land of the sand has some mysterious powers they hand down to new kages. That did not seem to do the previous kazekage any good considering how he ended.

are u crazy garaa is stong outside his village and the only people ranking neji above garaa was the leaf who knew nothing of garaa. he is a kage and a strong kage at that u cant take it from him just because he is in the sand village he defeated and already fought against previous kage something neji couldnt do. or alot of other ninja couldnt do

well first off garaa is conidered a genuis and well they tind to learn faster than normal people. now guy batted it away while garra had lost alot of chakara and was weak. and his dad lost to oro, kabuto, kimimaru, and the gate gaurdins so it wasnt a far fight plus oro is kage level. and the probably snook him since they found his body out side the village he was prbably meeting oro. and when u look at kage level ninja u look at big time jutsu and garaa has that beside naruto not to many people in the leaf could fight garaa.
