LEE IS ALSO ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL THAN WHEN HE WAS 12!!!!!

at the academy, they are taught the basics of all fighting styles, ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu. they are taught to recognise when a genjutsu is being used and how to repel it. The catch is that not all of them have the aptitude for genjutsu eg naruto.

chiyo quit using sakuar 1/4 threw the fight and was amazed she didnt need her to control her anymore. watch the fight. and lee hasnt one any fights yet. he lost to the sound ninja. no they learn basic and principles but its up to there teacher to teach them more. like repelling genjitsu. there squad leaders teach them that. kakashi said so. lee is better than when he is twelve but not that much he is limited the only thin he can really get better is speed and strength thats it.

Womabt and Quajo you are both right in a sense

Lee has amazing fight ability and skill and he is good being the first person to break garaas defense and keep on par on him for some time and he managed to fight kimimaro for sometime on a good level but
there is a limit to how one can go far with their body before it reaches a limit and even though he is only good at speed and strength but if you look at guy he relies mostly on his speed and strength and that was enough to beat kisame who we all know was quite powerful

We really havent seen lee in an all out fight in shippuden but if he is on a good road and is getting as good a guy then he will obviously be much better than sakura at this point

Now dont get me wrong I agree sakura is strong but lees skill and speed is more than enough to take out sakura in a straight out fight attack wise lee is strong support wise sakura is stronger

Difference between lee and everyone other character he is absolutely at horrible at ninjutsu and genjutsu that is the difference fighting wise he will never be as strong as guy as he is versatile in these things he wont be strong as guy but he will come close
The only thing that lee has got going for him is his speed and fighting skill but if your comparing him to sakura he is a better fighter

we havent seen guy win with out using his gates. and if kisame had his sword it would have been a dif fight kisame also was weakened from staying in the sword for a long time. but sakura has to much she can use her medical skills in a fight also poison kunai, or sleeping gas and lee has no way around that. lee strength isnt close to sakura his speed is better but her durability and fighting tenacity i think would get around it.
