Kunoichi portrayed as weak.
I can't help but get the impression that kunoichi are generally weaker than their male counterparts. A bit sexist there but its true. Guren, Tenten and Temari are better but still not on the level of the guys. worst offenders are Tsunade, Hinata,Ino and sakura who are mostly playing the part of the damsel in distress.
I can't complain though as I would not want to see kunoichi kicking the asses off the guys.

Look at the top female fighters in our world. They
couldnt compete with their male counterparts. To
portray women as more powerful in that world would
take out something thats real in our world. How
many women do you know that could beat you up.
Tough women, of course. Women that can beat up
your average skinny little weakling, sure. However
your top fighting women would have a hard time
with just an average male. Its natural.

Oh and Tsunade doesnt fall into that category for
me. Shes one bad bitch. Same with Sakura. Also,
thats not sexist. Its an accurate portrayal. Ino
and Hinata are more "girlie" girls. They
fill a role, motivation and love. Women are
naturally built to be nurturers.

The reason might be Ninpo (Shinobi code of conduct) 25th principle "A shinobi never shows their feelings, no
matter what the circumstances. Feelings are a weakness that only clouds their judgment and weakens
their sense of duty". Look at Tsunade who let her fear of blood weaken her abilities compared to Itachi who had a great grief in seeing people die yet was able to carry out his mission.
So sexist? No kunoichi are weaker because emotions have no place on the battle field except maybe when fighting edo-tensai summons

Hold on a second troll, were talking Naruto here.
Sailor Moon is an entirely different situation.
Mico, what the hell does Sailor Moon have to do
with Naruto? Thats like comparing Naruto to DBZ or
Gundam. The Narutoverse is based very closely to
our world. Kishi made it as realistic as possible.
It had a lot of real life lessons in love, life,
war and humanity. The others are very scifi in
comparison.

well tsunades case was dif she was there trying to
safe the person she loved and couldnt its diff.
itachi let his feeling take over when he let
sasuke live. and tsuande didnt get bested by
kabuto she was scared but as soon as that was gone
she started fucking people up.

but there are alot of bad ass women kurinai,
mizukage, tsunade, the crystal chick guren,
tayuya, temari, hinatas little sis, chiyo, konan,
kurotsuchi, anko, yugito, pakua, shizune, these
women are all bad ass.
tsunade,konan,mizukage,guren,chiyo are all hokage level and can comepete with the kages the others are all elite.
but who are u comaring them to naruto? sasuke? raikage? of course some of them are going to look weak or extremely weak campared to them but the others are elite and can fight just about any none kage level ninja.
