Hands down and easily versatile character is neji hyuga...due to how smart he is and how much he pays attention in battle with the addition of his techniques he is simply a cold piece in the naruto series...neji doesnt have to on point hit an opponent physically reaally hard due to gentle fist which can disrupt yur chakra network in one hit..anny projectile techniques can easily be dodged due to his 360 degree line of sight and with his rotation on top of that...neji and also use air palms for long distance attacks and can repel enemies or objects that restrain or are holding his body as well soo raikage like wrestling grapples will prove less affective against neji....but i think if kakashi had more of a chakra reserve he would be a reallly versatile ninja but low stamina will lead him to lose long fight and i think naruto is an overrated character who shouldnt or cant be compared to any other characters in the series.

You know what, kakuzu was a versatile fighter amongst the guys who live the longest he had lots of experiences. Can analyze fight as good as shikamaru, his speed was decent, he wield the five chakra elements naruto nor kakashi couldn't of beat him on there own.
