U can learn to cast genjutsu but that doesn't make u an uchiha, does it?

Also, there are no deformities in the naruto universe. Hashirama's wood release and Kimimaro's bone release are not deformities even though they are weird or abnormal.

Kushina's ability is a KG becos it fits the definition of a KG. U can't call kushina a deformity but say Hashirama's wood release is not.

KG is the general classification given to any unique trait (characteristic) which gives u unique abilities.
eg. 'Sharigan'( which is a KG)is not a jutsu but a name given to eyes with the trait of red iris and 2 or 3 tomoe. This gives u the ability to see chakra and do genjutsu.

Also MS(which is a KG) is not a jutsu. it is ameterasu, susanoo and tsukuyomi which are jutsus.

Kushina's 'special chakra' is her trait. The jutsu is what allows her to produce chakra chains from her 'special chakra' to restrain the kyuubi.

Guys, there is only ONE TYPE OF KEKKEI GENKAI:
its some jutsu/ability that is passed down genetically whose manifestations can only be exhibited by members of that family/clan;

Biology 101 here. You cant transfer aquired traits to dna.
What you guys seem to think is that Yamato automatically started using mokuton. He had to train hard to master it (mixing water and earth), just like the original creator did. What happens is that what was on Hashi's dna was his water and earth specific chakras, not the wood release per se.

Exactly because anyone can do it (anyone with the right nature chakras, but still, anyone) the hypothesis of KG is ruled out.
