You have a point here, from what I remember from
the anime/manga(not sure right now) Sasuke
didn't "absorb" all of Orochimaru,
I think he only got the part that interested him
and that is the one to have a better control over
his "cursed mark", besides that I think
Kabuto found some remains from Orochimaru and he
was kind of happy ( at least from what I remember
).

ITACHI VS. OROCHIMARU VS SASUKE
another moment of encounter to the three for the next chapter of manga...
previously, itachi sealed "the essence of Orochimaru" in the cursed mark seal of Sasuke before he died on their battle..
PERHAPS! another thing will be said and done on the next chapter...
it seems Orochimaru is not totally dead after all. Aside from Edo Tensei, kabuto said he has another trump card.
Just like Lord Voltermort in Harry Potter.. Orochimaru seems to cheat death by dividing his very own essence or soul into all that he marked his seal.
the reason why kabuto is continously using the snake girl(forgot her name) extracting the power...
