The sharingan is pretty much an evolutionary
feature because it is linked to a select DNA.
Kakashi even alleged that it is a mutation of the
byakugan. The sharingan is not a tech.
For the sharingan to progress to rinnegan, you
need to alter your DNA in a massive sort of way by
introducing senju DNA in yourself. So you are no
longer the 100% pureblood uchiha anymore. Your
genome is different from other uchiha or even your
former self. There is a mutation setting in an
evolutionary process. You become more or less a
new being: a new creation.

it is not like switching your aircon on high or
low because the aircon was made with that
function. If you mess around with your aircon in a
major way like couple it with a jet turbine, it
might get broke most likely (ha ha). but if it
works out it's no lonnger an aircon.

it dosent matter who can use it. do u turn the
sharingun and all its stages on and off? yes u
do. if its simply just evelution u couldnt control
that aspect of the eye. but u can control it.
there for its more like a jutsu. why does kakashi
block the eye all day? because of the mere chakara
use it takes to look out of it.

Kakashi cannot control the drain of the sharingan on his body because he does not have the DNA of an uchiha. His DNA did not evolve to support a sharingan.
The same way if you affix a monkeys tail on your butt, you would not be able to control it at will. why? because your body did not evolve to support a tail.
Were the sharingan a tech, Kakashi would be able to activate and deactivate it at will like all techs and wouldn't need to cover it.

of the sharingan. Becos the rinnegan is different
from the sharingan. The DNA that produces
sharingan is different from the DNA that produces
a rinnegan. A sharingan DNA can never produce a
rinnegan unless it is altered or undergoes
mutation by fusing it with senju DNA. Understand
that.
A new DNA is thus created which is neither uchiha nor senju. Over time if this mutation is carried on through generations it becomes an evolutionary feature. So that the descendants of HashiMadara would be born with rinnegan and might not even know what a sharingan is.
That is why I am arguing that Madara should not be able to switch back to sharingan because he no longer has the pureblood of an uchiha.

why couldnt he switch it back. it the same with
the curse mark its not kimimkaru or saskes blood
but they can freely switch back and forth. if what
u say about edo is true ad the rinngun then he
should have appeared with the rinngun not the
sharingun.

the evolution of sharingan to rinnegan is similar
to the supersaiyan levels in several ways #1 yes
you guessed it evolution. #2 is the fact that with
each progressive stage there is more power
introduced and that means that means you still
have all powers from stage one and up..Kishi if
you have'nt already read is largely inspired
by Dragonball.. now the rinnegan transformation is
in process and difficulty similar to a supersaiyan
four transformation which took goku on some crazy
different avenue in order to transfor..need i
remind you.. when saiyans get to certain ages tail
regeneration stops thats the reason why vegeta
couldnt transform without the blutz waves..
remember goku was wished back to childhood so he
that is the reason he could transform into level
four..only because of his younger body...why he
transform into an adult state in level four is
beyond me...but my point is that in order to
achieve the rinnegan an uchiha with eternal
mangeku sharingan has to absorb senju genes in
order to achieve the rikkudo senins original
eyes.. however i would encourage us all to wonder
" what would happen if a senju absorbed an
uchiha's genes?" its a crazy process
that happens to achieve the ultimate level of
power related to the two blood lines. Also.. isnt
the rivalry relationship between senju and uchiha
oddly similar to the rivalry between vegeta and
goku? hashirama and madara.....naruto and sasuke..
think about it..
