Tobi was not serious? Then you don't know Tobi. The guy came to destroy Konoha, how more serious do you want him to be?
You say tobi wasn't trying to kill Minnato? Then you haven't analyzed that battle correctly. Let me do it for you.
Tobi being Obito knew about Minnato's abilities. The only way you can kill Minnato is to capture and immobilise him.
He knew that Minnato was too fast for a physical attack to land on him. That is why he came prepared with the chains to try to immobilize Minnato which failed. He then tried to match Minnato's speed with his Kamui which was also not enough.

tobis goals wasnt to destroy the leaf it was to get the 9 tails he was just having fun. the leaf village is not a goal the hole ninja world is.
your prestty stupid one minato can summon himself to any seal location it dosent have to be thrown so capturing him with chains is retarded. if he wanted to kill the 4th he would have done that instead of taking naruto. or anything besides capturing him. the 4th is not invincible

The 4th is not invincible but Tobi is, right? You are thickheaded.
1. If it is retarded that Tobi tried to capture Minnato with the chains, then it is Tobi who is stupid not me. Tobi tried to do just that.
2. YOu really are dumb. If Tobi could even Kill the 4th in a surprise attack, he would have done it like how he killed the ANBU guards and even the old women. Tobi himself said that he couldn't take on Minnato, that is why he used naruto as distraction.
Tobi went 1 on 1 with Minnato. With 1 strike from Minnato, Tobi is bleeding and runs away. What else is there to say.
2. You say Tobi was just having fun? You think like a 5yr old. If Tobi did not want to destroy Konoha, he would not have sent it to Konoha after taking control of it. Who says you can not have fun whilst accomplishing your goals?

It's not BS. if you can not match Minnato's speed, if will be next to impossible to land a physical attack on him. This was shown in the flashback: Minnato vs bee and A skirmish. Even A could not touch minnato.
where did Tobi say he wasn't trying to kill Minnato or destroy Konoha? At the time his main goal was the destruction of Konoha. He purposefully sent Kyuubi to Konoha. He said he needed to stop Minnato by any means from interfering with konoha's destruction.
