Complete Nin
I've been thinking wasn't Jiraiya the last real complete ninja, At least from Konoha? The way he carried himself, how he knew to seal the amaterasu flames, his Collaboration jutsu, Ninpou: Hari Jizou, the toad stomach summon, his infiltration... I could just go on, he just had such a vast array of jutsu. What do you guys think?

well he was pretty good at everything,except for genjutsu. i feel that Kakashi is a pretty complete Ninja, good at Fuuinjutsu,ninjutsu,taijutsu genjutsu,

Itachi was a complete nin. If it werent for his illness and love for Sasuke he would have been pretty unstoppable.

Maybe he was, but we didn't see nearly as much of his skills as we saw of Jiraiya's, nor did we of Itachi! Thus making Jiraiya the last complete nin, At least from Konoha!

Kakashi is still at newbie level when it comes to sealing jutsu but pretty good at genjutsu,taijutsu and ninjutsu(pretty complete but doesn't have the intensity compare to other famous/popular ninjas);
Jiraiya doesn't know any genjutsu;
Sasuke doesn't know sealing jutsu but seems like Susanoo has the ability to remove sealing jutsu/seals;
Itachi haven't seen him do any sealing technique,if he does know sealing jutsu;
3rd Hokage(Sarutobi Hiruzen) is also known as the "professor" for he has wide knowledge about ninjutsu as stated by Orochimaru, haven't shown if he is capable of genjutsu or not;

being a complete ninja depends on what are you seeking or your definition of a "complete ninja".

Thats right what do you consider a complete ninja

..jiraya was good but wasn't complete enough because he couldn't perform any genjutsu, kakashi woulda been the one but he's weak because when he gets serious and uses his eyes he runs outta chakra too soon, sasuke's too impulsive mehn(too easily angered) - a ninja needs to fully understand the situation (see underneath what's underneath) if he had seen sooner, he wouldn't have killed itachi outta anger and that was why itachi told him that no matter how much he grows his eyes can never be like his(itachi), sandaime sarutobi hiruzen(the professor)-naw thats my pick, although we really didnt see much of him in action but if a ninja like orochimaru can give him that much praise and a ninja like danzou-sama can be bested by him, then u gotta hand it to the 3rd hokage.....other ninja's worthy of note is the gasmask wearing hanzou(i mean he created d legendary sannins),the 1st hokage(d original moukton user), madara, the magnetic iron sand kazekage and so on...........

It's funny if you take the definition of the words separately. A ninja was stated early on to be one who survives and/or perseveres. Complete means all.

So a complete ninja would be one who always survives and perseveres. itachi, jiraiya, sarutobi... dead, defeated, out of the running.

By that definition it'd have to be Naruto lol.
