Sharigan evolving to Rinnegan
I hope Kishi gets around to explaining to us where the various dojutsus fit in the scheme of things. Is the rinnegan an evolved form of the sharingan? I thought all occular abilities resulted from the rinnegan and not the other way round. What's the relationship between the Three Great Dojutsu(Byakugan, rinnegan, sharigan). Can the byakugan also evolve to rinnegan or the rinnegan can only be awakened by an Uchiha. If this is so, then only an uchiha can aspire to become the sage of six paths.
Also why didn't Tobi try to awaken his own rinnegan but then took Nagato's, and in this case even only one( why not both.

there powers? the reason i think tobi didnt evolve
his eye is that he is not an uchia. and i think it
has more to do then just being an uchia because he
said his body has a secret so i am guess he stole
some dna that allowed him to evolve his eye. and
in the begging of the show they said the uchia was
a decedent of the byakugun witch we know now not
to be true. dont know where it came from.
and the manga says that the great sage was the senju and the uchia in one person and used his yin and yang powers to create the senju and uchia from nothing i think that means he didnt get laid lol. but who knows

I think he needs his right eye to use space/time
Jutsu and is important to him somehow. He is
probably trying to mix their ocular powers or
something. Maybe, his right eye can be activated
to rinnegan in battle. Who knows.

Please stop bending some facts and concluding things on your own. Let's wait patiently until Kishi clear more things in the upcoming chapters.
Its nice to have some theory coz it simply means we are thinking but claiming them absolute is absurd.

If it turns out that the rinnegan is really an advanced sharigan, it will go without saying that it will be able to do all the jutsus that the sharigan did. just like you don't only develop one sharigan eye to MS or EMS and leave the other eye undeveloped to be able to use your old jutsus.
Also I guess it is important this issue is resolved because to actually become the sage of the six paths you most likely need to have the rinnegan and an immense chakra provided by a tailed beast. Now Naruto has the chakra of the nine tails but where will he get the eyes(probably this is where Sasuke comes in).

The way the statement is phrased is a bit weird but the statement: "They say that the uchiha clan's origins lie with the hyuuga clan"
This statement says 2 things:
First that it is uncomfirmed, a rumor, "they say".
Second this could be interpreted to say that the Uchiha clan is an offshoot of the hyuuga clan, or it could be interpreted to say that they both are offshoots of another clan, as in both their origins lie together.
In other words, we now know that the sharingan CAN evolve into the rinnegan.
But we don't know anything else about the links between the dojutsu and the clans besides this rumor, and Tobi's tale that Uchiha are descended from the elder son. Tobi's tale doesn't disprove this rumor either.

i dont know about u sempet but we come on here to tell people our opinions and i dont make nothing up just say what the manga has already put out there

isn't uchiha, and right after tobi killed
konan he said that nagato was an uzumaki...then
does that mean naruto can also awaken the
rinnegan?!?
