Objection! Tobi's Name!?
I noticed something about tobi's name. A tobe was another word for a cigar way back when, and it might sound cheesy but its usually the big boss of an operation manipulating things from the background that you see smoking a cigar,so that could be why they gave tobi that name 
His name could also be a compound word TO and BE (well it makes almost that sound...). This could be a nod towards that famous Hamlet line To BI or not To BI, that is the question, a line that has to do with whether there is point in living, or if we are better off dying because of all of the suffering, pain and imperfection in the world, themes that have a lot to do with Tobi's character.
Just some ramblings....
