Am wondering how does the first Hokage able to control the tailed beast as his pet or puppet?
a. is it on his strong will
b. his power to create life(wood)
c. or like a summoning contract with the beast passed down to him.

i doubt it has to do with wood we have seen other
people control the beast with just chakara.

I think it has to do with the wood element,
Hashirama must have a special summon, a Tree, Tree
of Life that bears the fruit that extends the
knowledge and sense of a being. The beasts must
have been sensible and wise thereby making a
balance of monstrous will and intelligence by
taking these fruit and in return they will obey
some of Hashiramas request.

can be found near chest? has this necklace
something to do with it? most of the revived
characters come from first naruto series, perhaps
thats where we should seek the answers to all

It's Hashirama chakra that control the bijuus.By using his chakra,Hashirama create a wood elemental jutsu.His wood element is the key to control the bijuus movement.I said,the wood just to control the bijuus movement okey.The cristal on the neckless that naruto wear is somehow react to Hashirama chakra.If it Hashirama,he don't need the neckless to control the bijuus,I think.But,Yamato is not Hashirama.So,he need something that react to Hashirama chakra to control the kyuubi chakra.I think,Hashirama chakra is a lil' bit special.
