The orange blur turned and groaned in pain.”Why did you do that Sakura chan?!” He asked as he stood up, brushing off any dust off his trousers. As he rose, Kohana was caught in surprise, a contrasting colour of orange and black he wore with a red swirl on his back, his hair was yellow as the sun and his face was no other she had seen before; a round face with three whisker marks on each cheek and eye bluer than the clear sky. She sighed in amazement at this boy. The stranger turned and caught her eye, for a moment she was lost in awe when she heard Shenju approaching, she turned quickly and dashed through a secret passage that lead to the stables.

Kohana sighed in relief that she was in the outside once more, although it was no escaping the continuous heat that filled these long months. The horses neighed as they longed to be let out into the dry meadow but least they had a stream to cool off in. Kohana walked over and stroked the nose of the nearest head popping out of the stable door. “Hey there, another warm day, you want to go to the river?” she asked the horse and it nudged her for a yes so, taking a harness, she took the horse down to the meadow, opened the gate and slowly took off the harness, kissed its nose and walked to one side. The animal sprinted down and joined its friends.

Walking back to the stables, Kohana noticed a strange carriage sitting just down stream to where the old well once was filled with water. With curiousity building up inside, she carefully made her way down to the well. As she approached, she heard male voices yet it was unclear what they were saying. Creeping behind a pillar, she waited patiently until one got close by. A man, dressed in a black cloak with red clouds came into vision.
“Are you sure there's a f@%^ing tailed beast here?” the man asked. A three bladed sword rested on his shoulders and he twirled it in his fingers as he waited for a reply. His partner walked around the other side of the cart of looked at the other man in disgust.
“Well if there isn't and my sources are incorrect, least the Lord here has a large bounty so it will be worth while” he replied]
“You and your f%^£&ing money, you don't give a s^&t unless it has f$^$ing money involved can you?” the swordsman said. He spoke in such fowl language that Kohana has never heard before.
“We will go at sun down” the other man said and went inside the carriage.
“Sheeesh” the other man replied, in disgust that he had to wait before he could make a move.

Kohana sat there for a minute, not believing what she heard. 'I gotta do something' she thought and as carefully as she could, she made a dash for it, back up to the manor. She had to tell someone about those strangers, but who. No one will listen to her at the best of times but right now when she needed to heard was never going to happen bu she had to try. Rushing up to the guard on duty, she doubled over, trying to breath; the guard looked at her strangely.
“I must speak to the Lord” Kohana asked
“The Lord is in a meeting right now, no one shall disturb him” the guard replied in a monotone.
“Please, you don't understand his life is in danger!” Kohana pleaded but the guard still wont have it. Kohana began to cry in desperation yet the guard would still not budge. Soon, another guard arrived.
“Whats all this noise?!” He asked in an authoritative voice
“Please sir, the Lord's life is in danger, I must warn him” Kohana said, tears slowly rolling down her face.
“You shall see the lord when he has finished his meeting now leave” and with that Kohana was forced out the building, onto the path. Maybe she was being too worried about a simple miss understanding, yes that must be it she thought and walked back to the stables to finish mucking out.
