i say konoha.
i don't know much about the hidden mist and sound villages, but i could never be able to stand a place with sandstormes. Also the sand village i don't know why but it seems to me a very hot place and i hate the heat.
Konoha is so nice and peaceful (without counting the incident with orochimaru).

I'll be very happy to live in Hidden Mist

hell yeah Leaf, they have the coolest fighters, and also, they have flourished so much so far. Imma a good guy at heart anywayz, so Id hate to launch attacks and kill innocents ^______^

sand is good....quality control.

I'd go with the leaf village
it seems to have a better climate than the others.
(although being by the ocean doesn't seem so bad)

Orichimaru isn't the second strongest.....there are ppl other than Itach who can beat him...like Sarutobi (the 3rd) ... the thing with Oro is that he knows ALOT of forbidden Jutsus

I also think I would stay in Konoha because the sand storms are intermitent but still I couldn't get used to that. I would think about the Hidden mist but I would always have to be alert that some other ninja might want to kill me.
