i can connect, but i cant connect to people and vice versa. i keep getting this error. i went to nintendowifi.com and:
Unable to establish UDP connection to the game server.
Please verify that your UDP settings match the settings on your firewall.

Firewalls can be very tricky to get working when attempting to do online gaming. Software firewalls, hardware firewalls, and firewall-enabled routers can affect communications within your network.
