Besides Bleach Central, Tom also owns www.bleachtv.com.
You can visit there for more details and the following is the introduction.

The story of Bleach starts out with a 15 year old boy, named Kurosaki Ichigo, who has had an ability to see "ghosts" for as long as he could remember. With his bright orange colored hair, and his "bad boy" attitude, he stands out from the rest. Having lost his mother when he was young, he lives with his 2 sisters and a father who repeatedly attempts to either ambush Ichigo, or get in a fight, with Ichigo often winning.

The story unfolds when one day, after hearing a ghost cry for help, Ichigo goes to find out what's wrong. To his amazement, a large monster that no one else can see is chasing the ghost. After a long time of running away and almost losing all hope, a young looking girl jumps in to save them, then quickly disappears, leaving Ichigo is confusion. Later, Ichigo goes home and into his room. After a little alone time, someone just happens to jump into his room, through the window! Ichigo then remembers that it was the same girl as before! The girl realizes, by a sharp kick to the back, that he can see her! Still shocked that he can see her, she tells him that her name is Kuchiki Rukia, and gives a summary about herself. Ichigo tries to soak all of this unbelievable information in.

Suddenly, the huge monster from before appears again and attacks his family, looking for something with large spirit power. Armed with only a bat, he tries to attack the monster, but it ends up being a poor attempt. Just before he's about to get killed, the Rukia jumps in front to save him, and ends up getting severely hurt. With the only way of winning resting on Ichigo's shoulders, Rukia gives all of her powers to him, transforming him into what she is, a Death God or, Shinigami. With black robes and a large sword, he slays the Monster, called a Hollow.

From that day on, Ichigo continues to slay Hollows in order to purify the soul and send them to a place called Soul Society, while Rukia helps him to adapt to his newfound abilities, and at the same time, is stuck inside a faux body. For a while, this continues as new characters are introduced, such as a mysterious "sandal hat" man, and a boy with amazing skills with and bow and arrow made out of spirit power, Rukia tries going to school and making friends, and some of Ichigo's friends develop powers that they never knew they had. Suddenly, everything changes when Rukia feels that she should not continue to stay on Earth and runs away. While trying to run away, two other Death Gods (Shinigami) confront her. In attempt to save her, Ichigo gets severely injured with his powers taken away and watches as Rukia gets taken away also being told not to come after her. Determined to get her back, Ichigo trains to regain his Death God powers and save Rukia from her fate. At the same time, a few of Ichigo's friends also train for what's to come. Little do they know, Soul Society has MANY things in store for them.
