View Full Version : Umm.. MP3 player help..
Yeah, my uncle like just got me one, it was so freakin' random.
But apparently, all it plays is Windows Media files, but I use Real Media player for stuff, so then does that mean I have to make all of my Music open with Windows Media Player and then like add it to the MP3 player?
And then it says it plays 128Kbps, so then I have some mnusic that plays faster than this, is there a problem wth me adding those?

lol no problem xD
Lmao
Yeah, it's working well, see I did it so that everything .avi and so on are played with Windows Media, since I mean I remember that that was a decent thing too do it with, and I have the VLC incase.. But I hear that the K Lite Mega Codec pack is pretty amazing also, so I might have to go and check that one out incase I can use that more effectively than Windows Media.
but it's working, like it's just being played at 192KBps, I mean I had something that was. 320Kbps, oh and it is still.
:D
Sorry I was looking at the wrong thing.
Yup!
Scandisk 512MB MP3 Players are ok!
But I do have this kinda pain in my left ear..

get the CCCP instead, just google for CCCP codec pack, make sure you uninstall all codecs before you install it though. It is a much better codec pack.

well ok teny mp3 encoding lesson 1-1
First: It does not matter which player you are using on your pc if oyu are going to send the files to your mp3 player. It has it's own player and the software that pc uses does not make any changes to the mp3 anyway, they just have a different interface
Second: The 192 Kb/s, 320 Kb/s is just the quality of the encoding. The more data transferred each second the more quality you get and more filesize. 192kb/s is a decent encoding if you ask me, cause the sound is good(near CD quality) and the filesize is not that big
Third: If you are using a kodec pack, it will probably make no difference in which player you are using cause they are all using the same codecs (there are exceptions though)
Fourth (and @matonly1T): You dont have to reinstall the WMP to make it be the default player for some file types. You can do it from the options menu and click on the File Types tab (or something like it)
Fifth: The brand is SanDisk and not ScanDisk (unless is just a rip off) and it's a really good brand for flash memory
Sixth: If you have maaaaany mp3 (talking like more than 5-6GB of it) and it's all messed up, try using a mp3 file manager. I use Media Monkey and i have about 49GB of music. It's a very cool program which lets you edit your ID3 tags easily (auto-tag from file name, group tagging) or change the filenames all at once and many many other features (www.mediamonkey.com) also it can rip mp3 from cds and burn cds and it is connected to freedb
That's about it for lesson 1 ;)

Yeah.. well I mean how is it that you have an MP3 with that much Music?
I mean you can get memory sticks for some of them right?
