I think that's a good amount, cause those that can't be bothered might just pay (quite a few people) , it's all about oppurtunity costs! (eco anus)

At the SSMb I have over 2,000 posts. I plan on doing the same thing here. I don't think it's too much...

I have over 2,000 posts on another forum also (non anime related no i did not spam). It shouldn't really be that hard to get 2000 here.

but i guess if you make 20 posts a day it would take you around 4 months,
I call that being active.
But i dont think so many people will be able to hold on until 2,500 posts.

Come to think of it, its not that bad... its better if there is a higher aim because if it was low, everyone would have access to the private server, and it would be boring, if it was very high, no one would really bother... so 2500 is the best amount.

i don't think that 2,500 is a real big number. they want people to be active with the forum so this is the best way. for those of you who think its a number beyond your reach, you can always donate.

and older members have had over 15,000

Nah..2500 wont take too long...about 3 - 4 months i guess..i'll stay active..this is the 1st forum i really pay attention on~

yup the amount is fair cause only active members can have access if the server was only 100 posts n up ppl can get 100 posts in like 2 days which is fast and can exhuast the bandwith...i only post like 10 times a day or sumtin n im still active

Posting 2500 is a great rule. I Think the mods and everyone putting this server together realize that alot or most of the people on the forum cant donate anyway. Some of you are to young to have credit cards or your parents wont let you, Or for whatever reason.So some should just appreciate that with 2500 post you will have acess to alot of free anime. I think its a fair trade.

I don't think it was designed so you get 2500 posts in the first 5 minutes... It's aprocedure you can do over many many weeks if necessary. I'm in no real rush to get to 2500 yet, and if I really want to download the AVI files, I'll donate.

yeah for some people it's easier to donate (unlike people like me who are totally broke and don't have a credit card) rather than go through all dat trouble posting, and look on the bright side at least donators don't have to keep posting on a steady basis in order to still have access to the private server, they can remain inactive for how long they want

2500 isnt bad it will make u interact more on the forum too..if ure cheap and have time and even if u get it still pay i mean keep it going..

Well, i do think it is quite alot. But think of the free anime, still worth doing. It took me about two months to reach here. Still a long way to go unless i post like crazy.

i cant even get to 50 quickly. But it is a good to just force ppl to donate cuz NC & NL need the cash and i like them so i cant complain

I can get it soon being the fact that I have 1,167 post so me or Keitaro will be there first. what I do is I get on when lots of people are on so when can make good threads and keep up old threads to post in ur count can get really high like this... and this is not spam.... Exactly what Dai said...if you simply post reguarly for a while then there will no problems...I mean horus has been here since November...which is like around 4 months (not including all the deleted posts :p ) and he has over 1000 already.

Hey what you discuss over Msn or Im is F***** Private.There have been people donating to the site. Not alot but a few**more like 2 or 3**. Just be patient soon there will be some more great stuff coming to the lounge

Dunno why, but I am the one of the few who think it's too high. I mean, I'm gonna stick with it. To prove to myself I don't have ADD :/ , but this is teh first forum I've really gotten int, and it seemed a bit daunting. I cane when it was first 50 to view the private server, but then it jumped to 100, and now this. Kinda threw me off. And I think anyone who joind a forum for the first time hoping to put a few of his or her opinions down and be rewarded for that will be intimidated at first. But now that I am used to it, and have experienced spamming on my own threads, I think 2500 is okay. Still though, pretty steep mountain.
