I found a funny new anime that just came out! It's about mermaid yakuza! It's called Seta no Hanayome. It's funny. I enjoy it. Short sentences are fun.

I'll get to work on my fic as soon as i finish all 7 papers i need to make up. ><" Writer's block slowed my school work a little...right now i should be writing one...but ADD made me come here. :D

just as your comics, your fic want WAY too far. Is this what you consider breaking your writer's block? Oh I'm scared, i dunno anny one who wouldn't be.

I figured the story was too upbeat and needed something darker. Sadly, people like him DO exist. I wanted the readers to be disgusted with yazu so i did that. I hope the way i went with the fic didn't make you respect me less, but that's just the way it went.

When i started writing it i had planned to draw out the relationship between yazu and hinata, but found myself unable to do so. This is the begining of me getting over the writer's block please wait, it will get better.

It doesn't make me respect you less, maybe differently. But wtf man? you're speeding through this thing as if there's no tomorrow. two chapters ago, Hinata still couldn't confess to Naruto, now they've slept together and she's now getting raped. The twist seems a bit too steep.

if she is raped, considerin that it would by a kiri nin of all possibilities, her confidence and demeanor would probably be shot to hell...i really hope she either gets out herself somehow or someone saves her before the act. its a horrible thing to happen to anyone. as far as drama in a fanfic goes, shadow's goin for a perfect score.....there have only been a handful of fanfics that have really upset me. one where naruto was raped multiple times as a boy, and another one where naruto actually knew his mother but she was butchered right in front of him while he was helpless to do anything. i guess you could say its original but those kinds of fanfics are really heart-wrenching

Back at the Kazama estate, everyone’s favorite blonde-haired shinobi was not doing so well. The bright blue eyes of his that normally shine like sapphires just seemed dull and sullen. Inside, Naruto just felt numb. It had all just been too much at once and with so many emotions battling for dominance his mind was simply overloaded. He just seemed to wander around the house aimlessly. Finally he came across a door just down the hall from what he was sure was the masterbedroom that his parents must have shared. Reaching for the doorknob to open the door, Naruto paused. There was just something about this room…something about this room was calling to him. Finally garnering up the nerve to enter, he opened the room.

“…so now you know the story as well” finished Jiraiya having just recounted the story to Hinata.

Briefly after having roused Hinata from her room, Hiashi had moved their discussion to his private study. Within the halls of the Hyuuga, not a soul dared to disturb Hiashi while he was in his study, but Jiraiya had nonetheless soundproofed the room after Hiashi informed him that not even the byakugan could see past the seals protecting this room.

Needless to say, Hinata was shocked. The first emotion to come to mind was elation. As the son of a former Hokage, Naruto was politically her equal in status. Not even the council could deny their relationship anymore, ‘not that they wouldn’t try anyway’ she thought bitterly. However, her second emotion was worry. She knew just how much Naruto idolized the Yondaime. She just couldn’t imagine the mental agony he must be going through to realize that not only was his greatest idol his father, but that his own father had been the one responsible for so much pain and suffering in his life. She knew that Naruto had long since forgiven the Yondaime for his decision—it was, afterall, the Hokage’s job to protect the village. Yet this new layer to the identity of his greatest idol must cause strong conflicting emotions to stir in his mind.

As a single tear fell from Hinata’s right eye as she thought of the pain that her boyfriend must be enduring, she looked directly into the eyes of the Godaime Hokage, “Take me to him.” It was not a request, it was an order, one that Tsunade could only smile at seeing the love the young woman must have for her otouto.

As they left, Hiashi rose from his seat having not said a word the entire time. The entire time he had watched the love and concern in his firstborn’s eyes as she heard about Naruto’s lineage and early childhood without knowing the love of his parents. Even as they prepared to leave, all Hiashi had done was sit there quietly contemplating the future of his daughter. ‘Even if his heritage is finally released to the public, many of those whom have hated him will continue to do so and utterly deny the possibility. As far as the elders go, I am sure they will deny it to the fullest and attempt to staunch his relationship with “their heir,” as if they really care about her. They will clearly try to overrule me to force the issue. The Hyuuga are a clan of old rules, but every rule has a loopwhole.’ thought Hiashi. With his mind made up, the clan head silently made his way to the clan library.

Finally stepping into the room, it was about the size of half of his whole apartment. The walls were all painted a light blue broken sparingly by a few furniture pieces covered in white linens. There was a large picture-framed window that had a wonderful view of the garden off to the back of the estate. But that wasn’t what had originally caught his attention when he opened the door. In the middle of the room, having only been partially covered by linens, was what could clearly be made out as an infant’s crib—this was his room!

Clearly in shock, Naruto paused only a few steps away from the crib, and that is how Hinata had found him. Upon arriving at the Kazama estate, the sannins guided Hinata to where they had left Naruto only to find him missing. With a quick glimpse from her byakugan, Hinata was able to find him upstairs.

“He’s upstairs in the nursery. If you wouldn’t mind, I’d like to go to him alone.” Hinata stated quietly looking up into the gazes of her superiors.

Nodding their approval, the older nins remained downstairs as she went to comfort Naruto.

Approaching the doorframe, “Naruto-kun?” she timidly requests, unsure of his awareness to her presence. When he doesn’t immediately respond, she takes a few steps into the room and opens her mouth to say his name again when he turns around to greet her smiling widely as usual.

“Ohayo, Hina-chan!” he responds attempting to put his mask back up quickly.
“What are you doing here? It’s early, ne?”

“Ohayo Naru-kun. Tsunade and Jiraiya-sama brought me. They told me everything, I…
—“Ah, isn’t great, Hina-chan?” once again donning the forced smile that he had perfected years ago, as he cut her off from speaking.

Cringing slightly from seeing the smile that she knew was simply a mask, she started again.
“Naru-kun, are you okay? You can talk to me. I know this must be a huge shock.”

“Hai hai. Never been better, I…

—“Naruto, yamatte” cutting him off this time, not wanting to see him hide his pain any longer.

“Ne? Stop what, Hina-chan?” laughing slightly as he rubs the back of his head in true Naruto fashion. “I’m fine, really, you don’t have to…

“STOP IT, NARUTO” she screams as she smacks him.

Silence ensues for a few minutes before Hinata breaks it whispering, “I hate that smile, I hate it, Naruto-kun…I’m tired of seeing you mask your pain so often behind that damn fake smile. STOP HIDING FROM ME” progressively getting louder until yelling those last few words.

Standing still, all Naruto did was simply stare at her since she had smacked him as if in some kind of trance. Finally, the dam broke and despite all of his might, seeing his hime so upset, Naruto couldn’t help but shed a tear. Falling to his knees, Naruto quickly wraps his arm around her waist while burying his face into her midriff as he cries his heart out, letting out all the pain that refused to flow out previously.

Instantly succumbing to her instincts, Hinata strokes her fingers through his hair attempting to soothe him just by being there with him, just as she always would be.

Dropping to her knees to allow Naruto to rest his head in her lap, Naruto was finally calming down. Looking up to her, “Arigato, Hina-chan” giving her the genuine smile that warms her heart everytime.

Smiling back at him, “Now that’s the smile that I fell in love with.”

Remembering why Hinata had smacked him, Naruto was about to explain when Hinata cut him off.

“Naruto, you don’t have to explain. All ninjas have their masks, but you don’t have to hide anymore—not from me, not from our friends. We are your family, Naruto-kun. Trust us as we trust you. You just have to let us in and we’ll protect you.”

Shedding one last tear and still feeling the need to apologize, “Gomen, Hina-hime.”

O.O “Hime?...Naru-kun, I’m not—she started until she was cut off by Naruto again.

“H-hai…you’ll always be my hime, Hina-chan. Aisheteru, Hinata” he expresses timidly while rubbing the back of his head in a grin, right as he leans in for a kiss.

Breaking away, “Aisheteru, Naruto-kun…my kimi (prince)”

O.O “Nani?”

Giggling slightly, Hinata responded “Naru-kun, you’re the son of the Yondaime and the lost scion of the Kazama Clan. Here in Konoha, you’re as close to royalty as I am…even more so.”

“She’s right, you know.”
“But you better not let it get to your head gaki.”
They heard two voices say from behind them. They turned to see the two sannin whom had just come upstairs.

—Later That Evening—

Naruto and Hinata spent most of the rest of the day resting since Naruto hadn’t gone to bed yet. But as the evening came, the two began exploring the house as well as finally opening the safe that Tsunade had mentioned before. Inside, they found several scrolls. Each scroll was something different from simple containment scrolls holding the bank card and account information to Naruto’s new fortune to the deed of the house. But what caught Naruto and Hinata’s eyes was the large containment scroll which had a blood seal on it.

“Whatever is within these seals must be of great importance, this isn’t a normal blood seal” stated Naruto after inspecting the seals surrounding the scroll.

“What do you mean, Naruto? How can you tell?”

“Hn. Ero-sennin is good for something. Fuinjutsu is one of his specialties and he’s had me learning the basics for some time now. In any case, I mean that the more common seal only requires a drop of blood as a form of sacrifice, sort of like a summoning jutsu. But this seal, it will only open when the blood of the sealer is used to unseal it, or in this case, the blood of the sealer’s descendants—me.”

Noting just how stern Naruto had become, “If it’s protected by such a powerful seal, it must be important clan documents and materials that only you should be privy to. Take your time Naruto. You’ve already dealt with so much today. Perhaps you should leave these scrolls for another time…when you’re alone.”

Looking up at her curiously having picked up on what she was trying to say.
“I wouldn’t dream of leaving you out of this Hinata, you said it earlier, you are my family.”
‘One day, maybe you really will be’ he thought before continuing.
“But maybe you’re right. I can open these with you another day.”

After resealing and locking away all of the scrolls, Naruto rose from his seated position. Giving a hand to assist Hinata, “Come. It’s getting late, I’ll walk you home.”

(Hinata POV)

Once outside, it was much colder than it had been just this morning when had I rushed out without my coat. I must have been shivering because Naruto gently draped his trademark jumpsuit top over my shoulders.

Looking up into his eyes, all I said was “Arigato, Naru-kun” and kept walking with my love hand in hand. As we approached the gates of the Hyuuga compound, we slowed our pace and turned to face each other. I gazed into his eyes and was almost lost in a pool of blue. Oh how I love those beautiful eyes of his. I could just look into them forever. I began to melt as I realized that he was kissing me good night.

Pulling me out of my daze, he wished me a good nite and began to back away. Finally finding my voice, “Matte, here’s your coat, Naru-kun” as I began to pull it off of my shoulders.

With a smile he turned away from me to begin walking away. Without looking back, he gave a wave saying, “Keep it. Good night, Hina-hime.”

Pulling the warmth of his coat more in towards my body and enjoying his scent left on the coat, I strolled back into the compound towards my room. I was at my door before I knew it, completely lost in the rapture of his scent. The coat smelled of pine cones and earth and carried the fresh scent of the forest, and as I stood at my door still rapted in my daydreams, I knew that I had fallen in love with him all over again. There was something about being there for him today as he relived the pain of his childhood through the news of his own father being the man who had condemned him to a life full of hatred, and yet having come out the end even stronger as he always does. “Uzumaki Naruto…I am yours.”

Stepping into my room to retire, I never noticed one of the branch members standing in the shadows run off deeper into the compound.

The next day came quickly. It was around 8am when Naruto was stepping out of his new room. He hadn’t felt comfortable staying in the master bedroom, so he had just pulled a futon down the hall into “his” room. He had been awoken not too long ago as the sun shone brightly through the large window of his room. He had never been much of a morning person, but he was feeling just so refreshed and ready to greet a new day. (He had dreamed of his princess all night long)
After going through his usual morning ritual, and on his way out for the day, he walked by the safe once again. He knew that he had told Hinata that he would one day go through all these things with her, but something was calling him to explore without her, just this once.

Finding the blood-sealed scroll, Naruto pricked his thumb and wiped his blood down the entire seal. As the scroll opened, it revealed five more scrolls. The first two that were still rather large were marked as the History and Legacy of both the Kazama and Uzuri clans, respectively. Deciding to forgo those two for now, Naruto moved on to the next scroll. Must smaller in comparison to the large blood-sealed scroll, this scroll was tied by a yellow tassel and marked with the Kazama seal, was labeled “Hiraishin Training scroll.” Pocketing that scroll away for the day for later training with Jiraiya, Naruto moved on. The next two were both marked with the kanji respresenting the Uzuri clan. One was marked as the “Twin Blades of Uzuri” while the other was labeled as “Tenshi’s Bow.”

Unsealing the first, Naruto was surprised to see two of the most magnificently crafted kodachi that he had ever seen. He had been trained in various weapon styles and forms by the ANBU captain over the past few months along with Sakura, Sai, and Hinata. For some reason, the captain had singled them out and thought that they would make a powerful squad one day. It wasn’t too farfetched since he and Sakura had been teammates for years now and Sai was also Sasuke’s official replacement. But Naruto never expected to be on a team with Hinata. However, throughout their training, their team work was amazing. Currently, the most surprising fact was that due to Naruto’s sporadic and wild nature, he had always favored dual-wielding when it came to bladed weapons.

At that point, Naruto comically remembered a certain day during their training regiment where he had declared to the ANBU captain that he would be the first to master dual katanas. The captain had merely laughed and told him to take a stance with his dual katanas. Doing so, Naruto quickly realized why nobody had managed to master such a technique. As he attempted to block the captian’s incoming attack, Naruto experienced the awkwardness of wielding two long swords. Faster than he could believe it, the captain had disarmed him completely and had his blade drawn across his neck.

As he went to reach for them, Naruto could feel an almost ethereal aura exuding from each of the blades. Ignoring the feeling, Naruto felt the weight distribution was absolutely perfect. Unsheathing them from their ebony scabbards, he noticed that both of the blades were gleaming and seemed just as sharp as on the day they were forged. Quickly returning to their scabbards, Naruto realized that he would have to get some new clothes before he could properly carry them on his person. He needed to get a new coat anyway since he told Hinata to keep his. He’d go to clothes store right after he checked on his new bank account. It was early. Jiraiya won’t even be awake yet so he had plenty of time before meeting with him before training. For now, he’d just reseal his new kodachi and carry them in his scroll pouch.

Turning towards the last scroll, Naruto unsealed this as well. With this one, there was a note first. It read:

Naruto,
If you are reading this then Tsunade and Jiraiya-sama have finally deemed you of age to know of your heritage. I am so sorry that we could not be there for you my child. I truly hope that you have grown well and know that your parents love you very much.

Realizing that this letter was from his mother, Naruto shed one tear and continued on.

Within this scroll is my prized weapon, the Bow of Angels. This is the bow given to heiress of the Uzuri clan. As the clan specializes in all weaponry but particularly kenjutsu, within the other scroll marked the “Twin Blades of Uzuri” lies a pair of twin kodachi that have belonged to our clan since our conception. Those kodachi are handed down to the hier of the Uzuri clan, you Naruto. Wield them well; the last to do so was your grandfather, Uzuri Jizu. More about my bow however, it is very special and can only be properly wielded by one with keen eyes and almost perfect chakra control. This bow will shoot an arrow comprised of pure chakra. As such, one does not need a quither and is only limited to their chakra capacity in terms of arrows. To that point, as I’ve stated before, this weapon requires precise control, not power. Thus, it only takes a minimal amount of chakra to launch an arrow. Hhowever the amount of chakra you place in the arrow will determine its power. I had hoped to one day give you both of these heirlooms personally, my son, but life is not always fair. Use them well.

Smiling, as he unsealed the bow after reading the letter. Naruto was surprised to see the most elegant looking white bow he had ever seen. All along the length of the bow, he could see beautiful etchings crafted into the bow with a silver inlay. What shocked him the most were the inlayed blades along the front of the bow just above and below the user’s grip. This truly was a bow worth an heir’s touch. It had both the offensive power of a hunter’s bow and the defensive power in the blades to block an attacking weapon. He knew the perfect person to use his mother’s bow.

::Flashback::
“Eh, I just don’t think any of these weapons are right for me Naru-kun” stated a slighty depressed Hinata.
“Don’t worry Hinata, we’ll find the right one for you. Everyone has to find what works best for them. I have my dual kodachi, Sakura works best with wakizashi since its easily concealable, and Sai, well Sai really favors his katana. I think he’s trying to overcompensate for something.” Naruto responds, having whispered the last few words.
Giggling, Hinata nods her head and then continues, “Well I have the byakugan and precise chakra control. Those are my strongest attributes, but none of these weapons seem to accentuate those points.”
Getting into his thinking pose, (you know, hand on chin, scrunched up nose, eyes squeezed shut…we can all get a laugh at that one) Naruto finally thought of something.
“I GOT IT!” running off to find it, Naruto came back carrying an old bow that he had found in the ANBU training room. Omfg, I'm so sorry for my previous comment. Ironically, I just found out how hard it is to write each chapter. I've written 114 pages, and only now am I beginning to understand the true meaning of 'quality over quantity'. Your text is awesome.

P.S. I still find action scenes easier to write than emotional ones. Until someone tells me how I could perfect em... *hint hint*

thats true, i think of the script in my head to see if it flows and will change it 100 times before i even think about writing it down. i normally end up with pages of notes and and a general outline and i still end up rewriting about half of it before i post it. this last chapter was ridiculous with how long it took me to plan out everything b/c the timing is more crucial

Yeah roku, you usually post something relevant. Me, i usually am on the borderline spam/somewhat meaningful kinda deal. Most of my posts here are regarding my fic...i'm nowhere near as active as i was when i joined and had over 100 posts a day. Back in the days of HKA and HFB. Those times were good times. @silencer: that line? that wasn't really much to think about. i guess there are just some things that come to mind from different life experiences. it might sound cliche, but seeing the one you care about truly happy will those kind of lines to your mind haha

my favorite scene is the reaction when sasuke uses Tsukuyomi on sakura so that shes having sex with him for 36 hours in her mind and naruto says "Shes getting my couch messy," lol almost as priceless as when hinara said she wanted naruto to use that justsu on he :P

Well...i DID find some inspiration in me for something COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. A new idea for a story. Like an original work. It's something like Tsubasa but different...more...blood and splosions and stuffs...i hope to get to work on it soon. Maybe after i get this next chapter of my fic done...i'll get to work on it... Chapter 22

The team travelled the chains of islands, keeping contact without fail. Three days had passed, they were able to search two thirds of the islands on their list, Kakashi was starting to get a bit worried that they might have either missed the island or not have found it on record to begin with.

The sun was glowing with a warming red color, setting behind the dark-blue waters of the sea. Kakashi activated his microphone "Everyone, let's regroup at checkpoint..." he looked at his map to see which island was nearest to everyone, "checkpoint sixty seven"

There was a diztorted transmission with Hinata's voice replying "Oss, we're already here. You and Kiyoshi get here, Naruto and I will finish searching it and make camp."

Kiyoshi's ear hurt from wearing Kakashi's means of keeping contact. Kakashi didn't get hear any word from Kiyoshi regarding the regrouping "Kiyoshi you there?"

"Roger that, I'll meet you there." replied the teen in a low and unhappy voice.

Kakashi and Kiyoshi were water-running, enclosing on a 'U' shaped island. The lovebirds were done searching the island, made a camp-fire, and were watching the sunset with heads leaning against eachother's, hands over shoulders. Hinata had a disturbing thought "Naruto..." the boy turned his head to acknowledge his attention. "Is this for real?"

Naruto thought about it for a moment "Yeah... I mean, why wouldn't it be?"

Hinata loved the boy, and wanted him to know just how much she did. But couldn't think of anything that would be sufficient enough to show the deepness of her affection. "There's so much I want to say to you, but the feelings that I have are not of this world. No example of sea or sky can ever reflect the deepness of my love towards you."

Naruto couldn't beleve his ears, nor could he believe his reaction. He threw himself at the girl, his spirit flowing from his lips to hers, and into her heart. Hinata retracted with tears slowly creeping down her cheeks.

"Naruto-kun..." whispered the girl in awe. With a single kiss, he was able to prove his affection as being equal to that of hers. "Thank you!" exclaimed the Hyuga collapsing onto the orange cloth of his shoulder.

He felt her warmth as he hugged her, he enclosed her with his arms as she was crying on his shoulder. Gave her one more peck on the forehead, lay his head on top of hers, and observed the sunset as the final rays of light met his eyes.

hahah, awesome. once again, split the paragraphs up. you have effective writing (understandable), but it could be better if you read over each chapter a couple of times, to fix the typos, and separate each character's lines.

I don't think NaruHina will be CANON at the end of this arc. However, I DO believe it will be developed more, hinted at, and it will look like the most probable pairing. ^^

They reassembled in ten minutes, setting up camp in the same spot as they did before. Building a fire, catching a rabit, singing a song, dancing a dance. This evening was purely a teen one, no adult supervision, Kiyoshi introduced the other two to alcohol. The drunk Naruto started punching a tree, not controlling his attacks, cutting up his knuckles.

"Naruto-kun!" yelled Hinata "Stop that!"

He turned around feeling woozy, "This is awesome, I feel invincible."

At that moment Kiyoshi realised why it was illegal for people under the age of 18 to drink. The blonde kid before him was the best explanation enyone could ever get. "Naruto, how much have you had?"

"From now on, your limit is zero"

"What?!!" yelled Naruto charging at Kiyoshi, tripping over and falling asleep before hitting the ground.

I don't get their logic, why do they want NaruSaku to happen? Naruto's no prize, and neither is sakura (the girl who didn't own a single jutsu in the first part, and apperantly still doesn't)

I don't want NaruxSaku to happen because Sakura was so mean to him(and still is, a little): she calls him weak and stupid, and she can't even hold her own in a fight for 5 seconds without being rescued(i mean seriously, wtf?). I respect Hinata and I wish Naruto would turn around and see that Hinata likes him. I don't want sakura to end up with him. she's a witch(and you know what i meant to say. lol). Hinata's really nice. Well, there's a new NaruHina problem that's developed in the manga...Hinata has not seen or heard of Naruto's kyuubi-ness in the manga. She may have in the anime filler, but not in the manga. With Kabuto pretty much flat out exposing Naruto's secret, whachuthinkgon'happen?

“…yeah, but knowing Naruto, he’ll be trying to escape by tomorrow.” Sakura said, causing Hinata to giggle. After a short silence Hinata said,

“Thanks for waiting with me Sakura-chan…” she said with a smile.

“No problem, this is all I’m good for. I have not plot value whatsoever.”

“Damn right Sakura, glad you noticed.” Kakashi said as he walked out of a door reading, “staff only”.

“KAKASHI-SENSEI!! YOU’RE NOT STAFF!!”

“So? They didn’t notice me.” Kakashi said with a hidden smile. “No blood, no foul.” He glanced over at Hinata. “Hey, I need to have a chat with you kiddo.”

“Eh…?” Hinata asked, pointing to herself.

“Yeah, c’mere.” Kakashi motioned for her to follow. They went into the next hall.

“What is it Kakashi-sensei?” Hinata asked.

“Well I have bad news…and worse news.”

“Umm…” Hinata sighed; she didn’t like the sound of that. “Give me the bad news.”

“Well, Hiashi-sama has decided you’ve been away for way too long, and wants you home.”

“What? Why?” Hinata asked startled.

“Something about being the heir…or some such nonsense.”

Hinata sighed. It wasn’t good news…but she could live with that…the hardest part would be telling Naruto.

~ Along the streets of Konoha ~

Snippets of hushed whispers reached their ears, as the mysterious threesome made their way through the streets of Konoha Village.
They must have made quite a sight, 2 women of obvious different ages, bearing lots of naked skin and a third small child, no more than 6 years old, bogged down with lots of baggage and whining all the way in a language unheard of.
To the unknowing bystander, the 2 older women seemed to be prostitutes and the third a child slave/prostitute in training.
Men were wide-eyed and women green-eyed and weary as the 3 walked through town.
Unknown to them, the 2 older ‘prostitutes’ were laughing like hell in their hearts at their reactions.
“If we were here to invade, the town would have already been half destroyed by now. Everyone is so relaxed, unlike how it was years ago.” Thought the eldest as they emerged in front of the building that was their initial target.


“Oh MY GOD!!! What is WITH that outfit???” shrieked Tsunade. “Even if that was supposed to be a disguise, isn’t that a bit TOO much?!?!?”

“It’s good to see you too ba-ba.” Was Ayane’s response. “It has been 16 years, has it not?”

“BA-BAAAAA!!! Call yourself THAT Ayane!!!”

They embraced and Tsunade turned to face to the other 2 traveling with Ayane. “Who are these two Ayane? And where is Lin?”


“This girl over here is my daughter, Akino, and the small one with us, is Shiori. Actually Tsunade, will you be able to look over Shiori? Lin and I picked her up about a year ago, but… as you may be able to detect, there is something sleeping within her…”

Indeed there was… any one powerful enough could sense something completely amiss with the young child. Just looking this innocent girl, gave Tsunade a very unsettled feeling. It was as if she was looking at something that she ought to know, feeling something that she should recognize, but somehow she just couldn’t put her finger on it. “Rest for today”, said Tsunade, “let’s do the check up tomorrow. Tonight, let’s have dinner together, there is someone that I want you to meet, and I think you better tell me why Lin isn’t here. Oh! Do Dress properly for pete’s sake! You have young girls with you!”

“It can’t be HIM can it? Tsunade?” Was Ayane’s emotional reply.

A man raced through the forest, doubled over in pain as blood flowed down his head. He cradled a broken arm and gasped for breath with each step he took. His pants were stained with dried blood, his own no doubt. Fear unlike any he felt before was the only thing that kept him moving forwards. He hadn’t stopped to rest nor eat in 2 days; all he cared about was misleading or losing the enemy behind him. Ignoring the pain that was shooting through his body, he tried to focus on the task before him, “I MUST reach there. The girls are waiting for me…”

Feeling like a million bucks, Naruto stepped out of his new home. He had been dragged shopping yesterday by Hinata and he now wore his new clothes in style.

Tsunade had asked the 2 of them to some nice dinner, so new ‘nice dinner worthy’ clothes were necessary. Hinata being a girl, had wasted no time in taking this opportunity to pick out a whole new wardrobe of clothes for Naruto, and instead of just one set of fancy wear, Naruto ended up buying more than he normally would.

But! There was that and NOW, all he was thinking about was what Hinata would be wearing. Images of Hinata floated through his mind as he walked over to her house to pick her up.


There was no doubt in his mind that Hinata was damn beautiful, but as his eyes savored the beauty in front of him, ‘Beautiful’ was too ‘small’ a word to describe Hinata.

She wore knee length, high collar, silver color, sleeveless Chinese Cheong Sum dress, with intricate embroidery in dark blue that matched her hair. Slits on both sides showed more of her thighs than even Naruto had ever seen. Half of her beautiful long hair was tied into 2 buns on the sides of her head and the remaining hair was curled into large coils and flowed down her back.
To him, she looked like some mystical goddess, and he ending up thinking, “how the hell did I ever get a girl as great as her?” Once again “that” feeling washed though his body but he suppressed it as he ran up to her and grabbed her. “My god! You look so beautiful I better be on guard against the other village men!”

“Arigato Naruto-kun. Ten Ten-san helped pick it out for me”, said a blushing Hinata. “Well, we best get moving or we’ll be late meeting Tsunade-sama.”

Hand in hand they walked, through the streets of Konoha Village. People eyed the young lovers but they were too happy with each other’s company to notice them.

I loved it! I found myself saying "aww" and smiling the whole time. XD
Bah, I wish I knew how to write about love. (Maybe it's because i've never been in a relationship. lol)

by the way for those that care the person i admire was just updated with a new chapter.

When they arrived at the restaurant, Tsunade was already there, and was accompanied by a few other unknown females. Introductions were made and the food was called for. Naruto noticed that the older lady seemed to look at him an awful lot, but he just brushed it aside.
It was just over the first part of dinner that Ayane dropped the bombshell.
“You look just like Arashi, Naruto-kun, but you have Maya’s lovely eyes.”
Silence fell over the table…

“You knew my parents?” Even as he said that something clicked in his brain. “Ayane? Isn’t that the name of mum’s good friend? Could it be that YOU are THAT friend? It can’t be, can it? Neh?” He looked to Tsunade, “Neh? Ba-chan?”

“I only saw you when you were first born Naruto, I’m sure you don’t remember me. If things were different, I would be your foster mother now. I’ve been waiting for the day where I can finally see you, waiting for when you were old enough. Looking at you now, I see that it was well worth the wait. You have grown to be a fine young man Naruto. Your parents are definitely proud of you. This beautiful young woman next to you Naruto is sure to have your parent’s approval as well.”

She walked over and embraced Naruto. “We have so much to talk about Naruto, so much that I want to tell you. I even brought a whole bunch of things to give you. We must find time together, there is much to say.”

Ayane was crying because to her, it was as if Arashi and Maya were alive, and she was there with them now. “If Lin were here now Naruto, he will have much to tell you too.”

“Where is Lin anyway Ayane? I would have been so sure that he would have arrived with the 3 of you.” Asked Tsunade.

A dark shadow passed over Ayane’s eyes, as she launched in to the story, as to why only the 3 females had arrived, and why they wore such distasteful clothes.

“About 10 days before reaching Konoha, we rested over in this small, gang ridden town. Most unfortunate, we ran into an old enemy from the West. Lin and I, together with other shinobi had killed the leader of this underground syndicate that was selling women to be slaves and prostitutes. The most despicable thing was, that even young children, children even younger than Shiori were being sold to be raped and abused. Unknown to us than, the leader and gang that we killed off, were just the puppets of an even larger group.
It was a bad mistake on our part, and in that town we paid the price. The leader was there with his minions and they got wind that we were in town. They drugged and kidnapped Akino and Shiori one night. In order to get them back, Lin posed as a master looking to sell his over-used prostitute, prostitute being myself. I went through hell to locate them as that damn leader put them under ‘special treatment’. I got them out, but Lin was found out. Last I saw him, he had winked at me and said that he had a plan and will only be a day behind us at the most. Tsunade, if he doesn’t reach by tomorrow morning, I fear the worst.”

“Naruto-kun, after Lin arrives tomorrow, let’s meet up and talk. Will that be fine with you? I’m sure Lin will be very excited as well.” Said Ayane.

But Naruto’s reply was never heard, because one of the ANBU appeared just than. “Tsunade-sama! Our border guards have detected a group of rouge shinobi heading fast towards us, they seem to be hunting for someone, likewise, we’ve picked up a beaten up man about 80M from our gates, he’s unconscious at the moment and over at the hospital. Ino-san is currently watching over him. Please advice course of action.”

!!!
“I will head to the Hospital immediately! Ayane! You and the girls had better follow me! Hinata! Get Sakura to report to the hospital stat! Border guards are to attack should these rouge shinobi enter our territory! Depending on the intensity of their attack, I authorize you to eliminate them! Just leave one for interrogation. Dispatch Gai’s Team as back up! Naruto! I want you to observe the battle and report to me after its over. This will be good training for a rash fighter such as yourself.” Commanded Tsunade. Naruto, though disappointed with such a “feminine” task, proceeded to the borders with his retorts and arguments put on hold for a later time.

~On the border front~
The rouge shinobi had crossed into Konoha territory and were now engaged in a fierce batter with the border shinobi. The rouge shinobi though many, were not very skilled, and the minions were killed off rather easily. However, 2 higher-ranking rouge shinobi managed to slip past the border guards and made the way through the forest to Konoha gates!

~In the hospital~
The beaten up men picked up by the Konoha shinobi was indeed Lin! On the verge of death, he fought to breath and speak as his 3 ladies held on to him and sobbed. He had lost a lot of blood and was losing consciousness. His only saving grace was that none of his vital organs were punctured. Pulling away the sobbing females, Tsunade and Sakura proceeded to perform a miracle, and bring this battle worn shinobi back from near death.

~In the forest towards the border~
Naruto had already sent 3 clones ahead of him to the border n different directions in order to observe from different vantage points. As he pushed forwards, he sensed movement behind him and turned to see Team Gai catching up with him. As they were discussing the battle plan, Neji who was the leader in their current formation, motioned them to a stop. His byakugan had detected 2 shapes moving. One was moving from tree to tree, and the other seemed to move inside the ground. Team Gai were now the ones with the element of surprise, and they proceeded to ambush the 2 rouge shinobi. As the battle at the border was over swiftly, Naruto’s 3 clones had returned, and Naruto after assessing the border information, told Team Gai that those 2 rogue shinobi were the leaders, and were to be brought back for interrogation.

Unsealing her scroll, Ten Ten unleashed her summon weapons and launched them at the tree and the ground as per Neji’s directions. The rouge shinobi realized that they had been detected a second to late, and had to immerge from their tree and ground refuge in order to escape being gorged by Ten Ten’s weapons.

Lee and Gai were waiting for this moment and engaged them in hand-to-hand combat. It would have been a speedy battle, if it wasn’t for the enemies ability to merge into the ground and trees. This rendered them invisible, and would require Neji’s byakugan to pin point them before further fighting could be done.

After a couple of illusive movements by the enemy. Neji got irritated at the prolonged battle. Signaling to his teammates to come together, Neji told them of his plan. Ten Ten would once more use her weapons to force them out of hiding, however, Neji would be the one to engage them in battle. He planned to use his gentle fist style and simultaneously seal the chakra flowing to the brain of the enemies, knocking them out.
It was up to Gai and Lee to ensure that the 2 rouge shinobi were forced to stay as close to each other as possible, because there was a limit to how far apart Neji’s hands could reach. Sealing 1 enemy’s chakra was easy, but sealing 2 people at the same time required much precision and concentration. One wrong point sealed could kill the enemy instead of render them unconscious and they needed these 2 alive.

The plan was carried out, and the enemies were defeated. Unknown to them, a yellow-eyed hawk was perched on the branches on a tree and had observed all that happened. With a cry and a swoop, it spread his wings to fly back to its owner, but, as he was flying away, something long and sticky wrapped around it and pulled it back towards the trees!

“HA! I’m sure YOU didn’t actually think that you could get away from ME??? HA!” Smirked Naruto as the frog unraveled his tongue from the stunned bird and dropped it into Naruto’s hands. Tying back its feet and wings, Naruto carried the bird back to Team Gai, and together they made their way back to Konoha Village.

~Somewhere out there~
“Sir! We’ve lost the bird! “
“SHIT! What about the others?”
“We’ve lost all radio communications with them. We fear the worst!”
“SHIT!!! Damn YOU LIN!!!”

The next morning 9AM

~Hokage’s Office~
“And that is the end of my report!”
“That was quite good and detailed Naruto, for a first time report. I’m surprised.”

“Neh Ba-chan… why did you assign me something like that? I’m a fighter! Not a reporter!”

“Naruto… all great leaders must see beyond what is in front of them. They must simultaneous take in their surroundings, the current situation in front of them, and predict all sorts of possibilities at the same time. If for example, you were engaged in the fight, would you have spotted the hawk? I need to expose you more in more tactical areas. All you do is rush forward, you have to learn to think more clearly, to plan ahead, be it 5 minutes ahead, 1 hour ahead or years ahead. You’ve grown a lot Naruto, now is time you grow even more. From now on, I will have you attend as many tactical meeting sessions as possible, regardless of whether you are involved in the actual mission. The immediate one will be for the coming mission involving Orochimaru and The Akatsuki. I want you to voice your views and to learn from the other tacticians during these discussions. I have more books in the library that I would like you to read. Grow and be a strong leader with great vision Naruto, for yourself, for Hinata and the Hyuuga Clan and lastly, as a Hokage in training, for the Village. There is much more to being a Leader as you currently think, and its mine and Jiraiya’s responsibility to mould you into one. Ayane and Lin are also people that you should learn from. I don’t know how long they intend to stay here for, but try to spend more time with them. Dismissed.”

~Back at Konoha Hospital~
Lin was coming round at last. As his eyes tried to focus on what was going on around him, fear gripped his heart. “Where am I? Am I dead?”

Suddenly, a familiar face moved into focus, “SHIT! I really am dead…” he thought. “Hello Arashi…” He croaked… “It seems that we meet at last, though more than a few years earlier than I expected.” He felt tears flow down his face, but couldn’t figure out if they were tears of happiness at seeing his long lost friend, or tears of sadness to be dead and without the warmth of his loved ones.

“BAKA!” said ‘Arashi’, and a pink haired girl immediately knocked him on the head.

“Lin-san, you are in Konoha Hospital, you are alive and this baka here is Naruto. How do you feel? I need to do a quick check up, can your eyes follow my finger?”
“Lin!!! I was so worried! BAKA!” screamed Ayane as she hugged him as tightly as she dared to. Lin hugged her and motioned for the 2 other girls to come join them… “Hello my girls, I’m so glad to be back…”

After the reunions, he turned his focus to the familiar blondie. “Ah… you must be Naruto. Forgive me for mistaking you for Arashi. But, you really look exactly like him. We have much to talk, much to share my boy… Forgive my current condition, but I promise, that as soon as I can, I’ll will request time with you… “

“Yes…when you are feeling better Lin-san. Tsunade-sama and I didn’t work throughout the night to save you, to have you slip through our hands once more. You’re very lucky to be alive, I think that you truly have an angel watching over you.” Said Sakura. “The patient needs rest, and the rest of you do too… please return later in the day, or better still, tomorrow.”


~In the interrogation room~
“Looks like these 2 are at their limits. Let’s ease their pain. All necessary information has been extracted from the humans and the bird. Send the report to Tsunade-sama! Tell her that my personal opinion is that they won’t dare retaliate as yet. They are a coward organization and won’t take the risk of opposing us! No matter how deep the grudge they bare!”

~Naruto’s Pad~
“Sigh… where was my one week of peace? Argh.. 4 more days to go…” He turned and walked over to the safe. “I never did get to share the weapons scroll or the bow with Hinata… I hope to get some alone time with her soon…” Naruto touched the diamond attached to a pendant, it was together with the stuff that belonged to his mother… as he looked at it, he knew, that he would love for Hinata to wear this around her neck… There were many things that belonged to his mother, that Naruto wanted Hinata to have… but he knew that now was not the best time… “When we are 18 he swore… that’s when I’ll seriously talk about settling down with her… We are still young, and have big dreams… I shall concentrate on achieving those dreams together with Hinata.. To build a strong future for ourselves…”

With that said he went to bed… As after he returned from the battle, he had been up until the meeting with Tsunade, writing the report.

~Hyuuga Clan~
Hinata, Hanabi and Neji were training together in the Hyuuga training area. Though her mind was on Naruto, she forced herself to focus on her training at hand. He dad was watching, and she didn’t want to disappoint him. Neji and Hanabi had both made remarkable improvements over the months and had received his praise. However, he has yet to praise her, and she wondered whether it was because she did not improve in his eyes.

“Ok! That’s enough for today! See you for dinner later.” Said Hiashi. “Hinata, a moment of your time please.”

She walked over to him. “Hinata, you’ve improved greatly child… keep it up. I want to you to face me one day soon. Let me feel your new found power.” With that said, he turned and walked away.

Hinata cried tears of happiness as she walked back to her room. Her family life was finally picking up, her dad has approved of her, and now, with more time, she had the confidence that the rest of her clan will approve of her too.

With everything that has happened, the Konoha shinobi now move into a new chapter in their life. Orochimaru and The Akatsuki pose a huge threat, and the time is drawing near, in which this threat will be eradicated.

shall continue with Lin, Ayane and Naruto after the whole Oro and Akatsuki thing... shall now pass things back to Roku!

very nice diane, introductions to these new characters need a little more history, but that's best left for another chapter.

I'm not sure where roku is, he's MIA for a while. I hope he's alright.

As for the ending. Personally I feel that it's too early to even consider ending it. I mean, so far, the plot's only starting to unravell, and no climax has been set. What they need (in my opinion) is a mission. I suggest staying away from the whole Akatsuki ordeal, but I'm not sure how you feel about the subject.

That's my input, do as you will.

In other news, I GOT FLAMED AHAHAHA. Funny thing, this guy insults me and my writing, calling it crap. That much I know, but the fact of the matter is that he has no points to support his insults. Out of the whole flame, the only thing that even SLIGHTLY resembled a point was the fact that my fic was an experiment. i have another 3 weeks left in my graduate research program, i should be able to update on the fic then. (sorry for making everyone wait that long, but its a sad reality)

@diane, good luck with editing the whole fanfic, there are tons of typos throughout and the whole fic, prior to the fights with Tobi and the other Akatsuki members, is kind of choppy due to so many authors working on it.

@silencer, as far as the two of us wanting to end this fic soon, thats mostly my fault haha...i've come up with a new idea that i want to explore sooner or later, but i won't rush this fic.

the next chapter will be the last few days before the battle with orochimaru, with the preparation of the teams that will will be dispatched for the final battle to retrieve the wayward uchiha sasuke.

ahh, so the climax IS there. Seems like group fics aren't really effective time-wise, but they look nicer than anything a single person would do.
