"Your fight is with me, and this time I'll make sure to keep you entertained" Asuma interjected with his chakra knives already drawn.
"How did you get here, you were at the hospital a couple of hours ago" asked Kakashi
"I asked Tsunade-sama to patch me up because I heard this guy would be here, just let me handle this"
"So you intend to fight me one-on-one, didn't know Konoha Jounin were so suicidal" Kisame said as he snickered
"So I don't have to do any fighting with these strong looking guys yet, I can just watch?" Tobi said with much hope in his voice
"Yes pest, just stand over there and watch me destroy this guy"
"Yaay, almost thought I would have to do something there" Tobi cheered
"Shall we begin" Asuma asked
"Sure I have things to do today" Kisame said looking over at Naruto

And like that the fight began, Asuma went on the offensive charging chakra Knives first, Kisame easily deflected the attack, countering with a powerful vertical slash. Asuma was able to roll to his left and dodge the slash easily, recovering quickly he attacked at the opening he saw. A cut was definitely going to happen, but somehow Kisame was able to bring the massive sword just in time to his weak spot.
"Ohh that was close, my, my, you have gotten better, still not on my level, but thats beside the point." Kisame said with a laugh.
Asuma was amazed at his speed with such a large weapon, but this was akatsuki so he should have expected as much, he knew he had to step it up some. So Asuma kicked it into high gear and attacked Kisame ferociously actually sending Kisame on the retreat. Kisame's smirk had turned into a frown. Asuma started to manipulate his chakra using wind to his advantage. Asuma continued with overhead strikes, putting kisame on his knees. Asuma saw this and sent a kick to Kisame's head knocking him over to the ground. Before he had time to get up Kisame saw Asuma charging at him. With no time to move, he threw his sword up deflecting the critical blow instead being hit in his right shoulder.
"Ahh so you are starting to get serious, I guess it's my turn to do so too then right?"
"What, stop bluffing, I've pushed you to the max, give up and maybe..."
"Hahahaha, you think i've been going hard on you, have you not noticed I've only been using one arm to handly my sword the whole time? Prepare yourself" With that, Kisame placed both hands on the handle of the sword and charged. Swinging at asuma, he knocked him back considerably sending him flying into a tree. Asuma felt a stinging pain in his left shoulder. How could he be this strong. Asuma went back on the offensive and was only repelled easily. He was then struck in the leg, then Kisame pulled samehada back, shaving Asuma's flesh, severely hampering his movement.
"This is the end", raising Samehada high over his head
"Shadow-Bind Jutsu" yelled from a tree above kisame
Kisame was paralyzed, then struggled intensely
"You can't hold me with such a weak..."
Kisame had stopped talking as a chakra knive had just been sent through his head, he was dead with his body twitching.
"Shikamaru!!!"
"Yeah sensei"
"WTF took you so long to finally do it, I said do it when i'm in trouble, not after I get seriously injured"
"gomensai, I was just waiting for the perfect timing. So I guess we should take care of the other guy then"
With that everyone turned and looked at Tobi.
"Oh, so I'll just be leaving then" Said Tobi
"I don't think so" said Kakashi

Well that's kind of a vague answer. I agree that's when he'll ask her out though. I say when he has time to rest, so maybe after this whole akatsuki business is over. It's hard to notice someone likes you when you are being hounded by some of the most powerful Ninja out there, or maybe after he brings Sasuke back or not.

Well naruto should of known its kinda obvious how hinata acts around him yet hes so blind.....i think hinata really needs the guts to tell naruto that she likes him...she would feel better and so would naruto..

Well if you really think about it, how much time has Hinata actually spent around Naruto? Not much if you go with the manga. There are just a couple of brief moments between Naruto and Hinata. So him kind of not realizing it does make some sense. Him being older in the manga though now, should help him come to understand her feelings a little better though, hopefully.

Ok Sh4de this is what has sort of happened, Tsunade received a report on akatsuki showing up for Naruto so she sent numerous squads out to each border. Kakashi and Asuma led two groups which also included Naruto, they ran into Zetsu who injured Asuma to the point where he had to return to Konoha for medical treatment. Zetsu retreated though, and kakashi led the two groups. Hinata was with Kurenai's squad. Kakashi met up with Kurenai to report the situation about Asuma about 6 hours after the encounter with Zetsu. After that Tobi and Kisame showed up for Naruto, then Asuma came back thanks to immediate medical attention thanks to Tsunade-same just to fight kisame. Kisame badly injured Asuma's right leg and was about to kill him, but was caught by shikamaru's shadow bind jutsu, with that Asuma sent a chakra knife through kisame's head killing him. Now it's Tobi and the rest of the Konoha Ninja staring at one another.

Lol yea that pretty much sums it up it seems like this is a "Oh Shit" Moment to Tobi Lookin forward to ur post sh4de

Tobi knows that running away would be rather difficult for him, so he started thinking of how he was going to fight the squads in front of him, I guess there is only one way... I have to fight, oh well I'll just show them my strenght! Tobi though to himself and readied himself for combat and thought out a plan for the mean time... soon Naruto took one step forward, he felt like that shinobi had a personality similar to his in some ways so with a grin on his face he said out aloud "I will fight you!", the konoha shinobi squads there tried to discourage Naruto, saying it was to dangerous but they soon gave up, Naruto's stubborness prevailed... Tobi looked up at the kyuubi boy and fiddled his swirl like orange mask who hid a smile... "you got guts boy... do you know who you are messing with? you cannot possibly defeat me all by yourself..." Tobi replied with a relaxed tone, "Oh yeah? you says I can't defeat you? unless you predict future I'm the one who's gonna come victorious... it's as if it was already written!" Naruto replied with a teasing tone and Tobi's face hardened behind his mask, through the only eye hole he had on the mask his eye could be seen reflecting his anger... "Boy, now you've done it, prepare yourself! after this no one will recognize your body anymore, it will be like a... SWIRL!"

Naruto's face hardened, no one dared to interfere with the battle... too much pride was already at stake, although everyone just wished they could get a chance to all jump in and rip Tobi apart, but still they simply watched calmly... Tobi moved in for the first hit he ran through the field and disappeared right in front of Naruto, who predicted Tobi's movement and turned back just in time to deflect a kick in the head, Naruto counter-attacked with a spin kick but the akatsuki member avoided it and landed a punch on Naruto's stomach sending him flying backwards, landing with a backwards flip... "You managed to defend yourself from my first attack, congratulations" the akatsuki member said with a teasing tone, with that said Naruto's anger was building up inside of him and filled his eyes... "Why you..." the boy said and ran torwards Tobi, "Tajuu Kage Bushing no Jutsu!" and soon the field was filled with his clones, all running torwards the akatsuki member who let out a simple hmpf... "Nice try..." Tobi said and concentrated, he started spinning and stretched out his leg, doing a swirl like kick, instantly cutting off a fair number of clones... right then he formed a seal and without saying a single word the earth shook and sharp pillars rose where the clones were, sending them all back to the original Naruto, who was trying to think of a way out or around the akatsuki member... Tobi grinned and formed another seal... "Look..." he simply said, Naruto was puzzled, the swirl on his masks started moving in a rotative motion... a hipnotic jutsu, the blond haired boy stopped for a moment and tried to resist the hipnotizing jutsu, but to no avail he fell under the hipnotic mask of the akatsuki member...

Hinata was orderd to scout ahead and found the field where the battle with Naruto and Tobi was occuring, Naruto? what are you doing Naruto! she thought to herself and hurried up... she reached the squads spectating the battle who were starting to get worried, "What are you doing? go help him!" Hinata shouted to everyone looking at the fight.. kakashi simply replied "We can't..", "What do you mean we can't?" the girl asked with a worried tone on her voice and her long hair swaying in the wind... "Naruto is under hypnose... things might turn bad if we attack the one who is hypnotizing him... Naruto might be stuck as a mindless person forever... he has to snap out of it by himself and not by the death or injury of that akatsuki member...", she turned her gaze to Naruto who was starting to come the squads way... increasing his speed by the second, he took out a kunai knife and ran full speed at the squads... Tobi laughed to himself, Now I can just sit and watch, I was starting to get tired, not just that, I'm also getting hungry, how troublesome this cause is... he thought to himself and let his hypnose jutsu do the work. Everyone was getting ready to defend themselves from Naruto, the first one to be attacked was Kakashi who easily avoided the mindless boy's attacks and tried to figure out a way to snap him out of it... Probably he would snap out of it with time, but it would take a while and it's not a good choice. the Jounin thought while trying to avoid the use of strenght. Naruto turned to the others who were also only avoiding his attacks, afraid of hurting his friend "This is too troublesome!" Shikamaru said to apparently no one... Hinata witnessed all in disbelief, but soon Naruto turned his gaze to her and moved in for the attack "Naruto!" she yelled and deflected his first attacks, "Snap out of it!" she called out again, but still it was as if nothing was said.

Tears started to flow in her face, since frustration for not making him come back was flooding her... "Please stop Naruto, it's me Hinata-chan... Yamete! Wake up, come back to me onegaii!" he made one more attack and she deflected it so hard that she found an opening, but instead of hitting him back she jumped in and hugged him "I don't care if I have to die, if you stay like that forever and I can't snap you out of it then I do deserve to die and don't want to live anymore... please wake up!", Naruto lifted his arm to cut Hinata with his kunai knife, but before he could do that she kissed him gently on the lips... some of her life flowed into Naruto, snapping him out of Tobi's control "WHAT?! how's that possible? how could you break my incredibly good technique? how?!" the akatsuki member was wide eyed. "It's me again Hinata... I'm sorry, I'm really sorry I didn't mean to I couldn't do anything I..." he was cut off with a finger landing on his lips "It's ok... I'm fine" she replied with a warm smile. Still holding her in his arms he turned to Tobi and with a growl like voice he yelled "How coward are you? can't you fight on your own? you just a failed ninja! you'r a coward and a disgrace! your going to be sorry you did this after I'm done with you..." in the end of his speech is voice was already a growl.. right then a red aura appeared around him, his canines grew and his icy eyes turned blood red animal like. "Naruto... why do you have to use it..." she whispered, so that he couldn't hear her. Every squad member present in the battle field who had not witnessed the kyuubi power was about to be wide mouthed and in disbelief... Naruto's true strenght was about to be shown and it was only the beginning.

He took his finger and placed it under Hinatas chin and kissed her one more time and said "I will kill him for trying to make me harm yoou Hinata!" And before Hinata could say anything Naruto was running to Tobi with an intent to kill

At a speed once thought near impossible for Naruto to move at, he charged
in towards Tobi. No, Naruto charged in towards his prey, to Naruto,
Tobi was no longer human and would be utterly destroyed as such.
He had almost made him kill his most precious person, and for such a crime, Naruto would make it pay dearly.

In the blink of an eye, Naruto was behind Tobi and had already unleashed
two tails. Blinking in and out of Tobi's line of sight...

-Watching the Fight-
Kakashi: hmm...why hasn't he attacked yet?
Hinata: Ano, He's t..toying with him.
Kakashi: nani?
Hinata: Na..Naruto-kun's senses are now hightened dramatically...he can
sense Tobi's fear, r..right now, Naruto-kun is pr..preparing to k..kill him.
the thought made her cringe
Kakashi: So that's how it is...

-Back to the Fight-
What's with this guy? He's moving faster than even I can see...
"You don't have time to ponder your demise, teme"
Just as Naruto finished his statement, he was right behind Tobi again,
slashing his back with his claws.
As Tobi's back arced, Naruto hit him with a savage kick at the base of his
spine, sending him airborne.
Just at the apex of his ascent, Naruto appeared right in front of Tobi and
continued his assault. Growling, "You're going to pay!" as he slammed
a fist straight into Tobi's temple. Tobi hit the earth with such a force that created a crater with a 10 foot radius. As Tobi slowly rose to his feet, his mask began to fall...

there was this theory goin around the forum that the new akatsuki member, Tobi was somehow Kakashi's former teamate, Uchiha Obito, who died in the Gaiden chapters during the Third Shinobi War.

"So... that's Naruto's power after all, the power of the kyuubi fused with his, who would have known? probably only the adults..." Shikamaru said out to no one in particular. "Yes... but it's very dangerous and uncontrolable sometimes so not everytime is the right time to use it, although we all know how Naruto is, right?" Kakashi said trying to lighten up the mood, everyone was too amazed and wide mouthed at the fight they were witnessing...

Fight-
As Tobi slowly rose to his feet, his mask began to fall... Naruto wasn't bothered at all and was waiting to see the face of who he was fighting, suddendly Tobi's mask fell off revealing a twisted face... resembling one of a child, twisted with a man's face, giving it a taste of abnormalness. "Hmpf, I guess you're not that different from me, but enough! this will end soon..." Naruto growled under his anger, and moved in for the attack, "Boy, now you've done it, you've really done it this time..." with that said, Tobi gathered is strenght's and summoned his internal chakra, "Now you will see my true power and you better have wished not to break my precious mask!" the akatsuki member said and surprised naruto, precious? was it really that important to him?

Flashback-

Tobi's words made Naruto think of what other people said in the past, precious things that were damaged or important people that were lost, Haku came into mind instantly... It's sad that it had to be like that, Haku didn't deserve it, he only needed someone to love him and someone he could love, it wasn't fair! Naruto's thoughts filled his mind and clouded his judgement... "Kill me, I have failed the person who was important to me, I no longer deserve to live, please kill me..." Haku directed to Naruto who was standing speechless in front of him "I... I...", "Didn't you want to kill me? wasn't that you said you were going to do? then do it!" the boy wished Naruto to grant his wish, but it wasn't right... everything wasn't right, it was out of place and no one deserved to really die, Why am I thinking this now? why? I do not know, but I can't live in the past, the present is the important right now! I SHALL FIGHT!

Fight-
Naruto cleansed his mind from his thoughts and concentrated on the battle easily, he disappeared and appeared right in front of Tobi, sending a punch cutting through the air, to everyone's surprise Tobi blocked it and sent Naruto flying with whirl kick, "You'll need more than that to beat me now, boy" Tobi said with a grin on his deformed face. Naruto stood up anger building up and boiling inside him, he crouched in all four and with the red chakra involving him he had a fox like look. He ran torwards Tobi and sent a red hand of chakra flying through the air, everyone was amazed, and soon the hand hit Tobi, sending him flying into a nearby tree and leaving a trail of burnt grass behind... "I guess I underestimated you, that shall happen no more. Come!" Tobi said and ran torwards Naruto, he formed some seals and earth spikes rose under Naruto, he dodged them and jumped high in the air, sending another hand of red chakra straight to Tobi who dodged it and formed another pair of seals, who sent a powerful psychic jutsu against Naruto who was hit head on with the psychic attack and was sent backwards into the grass again. Tobi ran full throttle against Naruto and laid a kick on his ribs again sending him reeling through the air and hitting the grass once again, burning it in his fall... "You are good as gone, Naruto the Kyuubi vessel..." Tobi said feeling victorious and formed another earth spikes jutsu to finish off the downed boy. Hinata was getting worried and ran into the battlefield only to be caught by kakashi and taken back "LET ME GO!" she demanded but to no avail, "I'm sorry, I can't let you get hurt, Naruto would never forgive me..." Kakashi said looking down and then at Naruto laying on the grass plain, a gentle brease was running making everything look calm and peacefull, Hinata's hair flew gently, her eyes drifted to the battle, uneasy and unprepared for the shed of events that were about to be unfold... she thought the worst but had faith in the boy only to be broken by Tobi's earth jutsu.

Spikes rose from the earth and pierced Naruto in the torso, legs and arms, everyone was preparing to shred Tobi to pieces for what he had done, Hinata couldn't look to his love, laying on top of the spikes who were sent back to the earth leaving Naruto's body on the grass once again, staining it with blood as his clothes were. "Why? why did it have to come to this when everyone was going kind of ok? am I destined to be unlucky? I... I HATE YOU AKATSUKI!" Hinata shouted and ran full speed against the akatsuki member "NO! HINATA!" Kakashi ran torwards her but it was too late, Hinata had hit Tobi 3 times and with one of his punches she was sent flying backwards, a jolt of pain ran down her spine and a scream echoed in the air... a scream that awoken something inside Naruto, a scream that was the key for everything, a scream that didn't let the boy die... for everyone's surprise Naruto rose once more, slowly standing up and Tobi couldn't believe his eyes, the wounds on him were healing extra fast.. the aura grew bigger and for Hinata's relief just before fainting in the arms of Kakashi-sensei, Naruto was alive... "What have you donARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Naruto growled and sent out a bone chilling growl, just like the fully powered Kyuubi, the aura engulfed him and everything trembled before the might of the demon's power, a third tail started to grow in the midst of the growls that were heard, everyone got into cover... for Naruto was getting dangerous, and Tobi was about to meet his doom... "What have I done..." Tobi said cursing himself for ever challenging the kyuubi, but still he remained there, for the fight...

yo to be honest, i was thinking along the same lines as far as making his face deformed somehow, i was thinking closer towards hideous gash or fire burns, but half boy/half man face works xD

Poised to attack, his chakra yet to fully manifest, Naruto growled again
"Nobody..Hurts..Hina-chan..Nobody", the last word frightening
everyone within earshot to their very souls as if spewed from the deepest
pit in Hell. Just as the third tail had completed its growth, in his fury
Naruto began to grow a fourth.

-Group-
As if by cue, Kakashi called out as loud as he could, "Naruto, Don't grow
the fourth tail..."

"Wait, what happens when he grows the fourth tail?" Shikamaru interrupted.
Glancing over all the others' expressions, Kakashi could tell that Shikamaru
wasn't the only one asking themselves the same question. It made sense, only a few people knew of the rather grim side effects to Naruto's power, only being his own team, Hinata, the Hokage, and Jiraiya (who had learned from experience. After briefly explaining that upon growing the fourth tail, Naruto would lose all sense of himself and kill anyone he sees, all of those in attendance held expressions of both shock and fear. Returning his focus again to Naruto, hoping that his words had somehow gotten through to him when the rest seemed to awaken from the original shock.

"You can do it, Naruto" Chouji remarked. "Beat that troublesome guy, Naruto" aptly commented by Shikamaru, as all of Naruto's friends began to chime in.

-Naruto POV-
What are those noises...who's there? Suddenly Naruto recognized the
voices of him friends and comrades...each one sounding off in his mind.
Touched, Naruto shed a single tear out of his right eye and began to retract
the partially-grown fourth tail.

-General POV-
Taking this as a sign of Naruto's distraction, Tobi charged in with a kunai
hoping to catch the jinchuuriki offguard. Proving to be a miscalculation,
just as Tobi got within striking distance, Naruto disappeared. Tobi turned
around just in time to receive a savage punch in the face sending him several meters back before skidding across the ground to a halt. Appearing right in front of him, Naruto began to talk in a low half growl "Darkness...that is what my friends saved me from. They are the reason why I live, especially Hina-chan. They are precious to me, and I won't let you hurt them ever again. They are why I live, why I fight, and whom I wish to protect.Die knowing that you are forgiven, but your sins are not forgotten."

Now trembling in fear and a cold sweat breaking out across his entire body,
Tobi had never heard a voice so calm, almost serene, and yet so deadly.
Falling to his knees from pure fear, Tobi's death was almost instantaneous
as Naruto formed a Rasengan, ramming it through his heart before he could
even stand to move, his limbs frozen in place. Slumping over, Naruto had
expended so much chakra out of both pure rage as well as healing himself
from earlier, that after his killing stroke, he simply fell to the ground,
unconscious.

it might seem a little OOC at some points, but I like it xD
also, the ending quote is something that I would probably say, whenever
someone has 'wronged' me, I've always made it a point to forgive them in some way because hate is something that you shouldnt hold on to, to the same token, that doesnt mean that I will forget the trangression.

"Naruto no!" screamed hinata as she ran over to Naruto
"looks like that fight took alot out of him." said Kakashi
Hinata ran over to check on Naruto and saw that he was unconcious.
Then Kakashi came over and picked him up and put him on his shoulder
"Uhhhh whats going on?" asked Naruto when he woke up in the hospital with hinata at his side sleeping. "When did I get here?" Naruto asked himself. Just then Hinata woke up to see Naruto siting up looking around.
"when did you wake up?" asked Hinata "well i woke up like 2 minutes ago. What happened to me?" asked Naruto "Wel after you killed Tobi you pased out becuse you used up so much of your chakra but you seem to be okay."
answered Hinata "Where is everyone else?" asked Naruto "Well i think they all went out to eat its 7:00PM Naruto they were hungry but i didnt want to leave your side." said Hinata Just then Naruto put his index finger under Hinatas chin and lifted her eyes to his and leaned in and gave her a kiss. "Thank you for staying here with me." said Naruto "I..its ok Naruto-kun I didn-" Ath that moment Naruto leaned in and kissed her again and when he pulled away he heard "OOO you bad boy looks like your up" said Kakashi
Hinata turned red and Naruto just smiled and said "Yep iam up." Kakashi took a bag out and Naruto smelled Ramen "Whats int he bag Kakashi-sensei? asked Naruto "like you dont know" said Kakashi Naruto jumped up scaring Hinata and ran over and grabed the bag off of Kakashi and went back to the bed and sat down and took it out and asked Hinata if she wanted any but she refused knowing that Naruto loved ramen so much. "Looks like ill have to go get more ill be back." said Kakashi.

Scenario 1 _ Inside Tsunade's Office
Naruto and Hinata are called in for a mission...

Tsunade says "The 2 of u have a lot of potential but u are not applying youself well enough! instead of being just boarderline good, the 2 of u should rate an above average in terms of skills!"

"I have prepared a scroll of jutsus and history/knowledge scrolls. I want the 2 of u to go to the woods area and TRAIN!"

"Dont return until u have completed the scroll and can show me the results of ur training!"

So just like Tsunade had originally said, Hinata and Naruto headed towards the woods. When they got there they first sat down by some tall treee to see what was all in the scrolls.
Naruto and Hinata were utterly amazed at what they saw on the scrolls, both were actually puzzled by some of the jutus that were on the scrolls.

Hinata says "Naruto-kun do you think we can complete all of these jutus?...

Of course we can Hinata-chan, replied Naruto....

so with few words of encouragement from Naruto, they both started the training.....

they sat under the trees and looked thru the scrolls.
the jutsu scrolls had 30 jutsus that HAD to b completed! though they were damn good jutsus and came with instructions, both were abit doubtful as to whether or not they could complete it.. however, as usual, naruto full of confidence would proclaim that they WOULD b able to complete it in no time!

since they basically knew NONE of the jutsus in the scrolls, they began with NO.1. "precision chakra control and how to achieve it"
"precision chakra control, i dont need to do this stupid scroll. i'm uzumaki naruto, future hokage and i......"
"ano, n-naruto-kun..."
"what is it hinata?"
"ano, i-i was just thinking that maybe w-we should just t-try the exercises on the scroll like h-hokage-sama said, it is a mission after all"
"hmph!" naruto annoyed by the reminder
"fine, what does the scroll say about how we're supposed to achieve precision chakra control?"
So, they started out the precision chakra training but naruto being impatient kept screwing it up.. after 2 days, hinata managed to get the hang of it.. naruto seeing her improvement goes to talk to her..

(Before this, they hardly talked, cos hinata is so quiet and naruto thinks her quietness is just weird)

Hinata shows him and naruto realizes that hinata is cool.. she can do something and get it that fast... he realizes that there's more to her than just being weird and begins to talk to hinata....
"Um hinata,i use to think you were a very weird girl..but now i have realized you are very helpful and amazingly cool" ,Naruto chuckled.

Hinata's face was shaded into red..clueless of what to say ;none the less she was shy.Naruto had stop the training to talk to her ,so she decided to use her voice and tell him that they should complete the mission soon ."N-naruto-kun ..um we should start the next jutsu..s-so we caan complete the quest soon "Hinata said looking at Naruto then as fast a race car stared down at the floor just when Naruto's eyes went to her.

Naruto snorted "erm..fine.." . he said to himself ,'i hate this stupid mission it probably just retarderizes your brain'.

They continued the training process ....and suddenly with Naruto and Hinata unaware that a flash of a blade from a sword was heading to Hinata.....

Naruto gazed the masked attacker and a string of anger flowed in his body... "I will never forgive you if you do anything to her!" he screamed over the attacker who replied "And what are you gonna do about it?", Naruto concentrated and the thought of Hinata being in danger made him jump in for the first attack.
Naruto's punch cut through the air swiftly and as it was about to land on the masked ninja attacker, he dodged it making Naruto go for a leg attack this time, which was also dodged by the attacker... Naruto backed away and prepared his favourite jutsu...

naruto summomns 3 kage bunshins to hold down the enemy from behind, while another prepares rasengan by his side...
Naruto prepares his Rasengan and grins at the masked attacker "Are you going to tell me where u have taken Hinata or else?" Naruto grunted with a menacing face, "I'll never tell you... NEVER" the attacker replied, Naruto moved in for the Rasengan, the 3 bushins kicked the attacker in the air while Naruto shouted "U-ZU-MA-KI NARUTO AIR RASENGAN!" and in mid-air he connected the Rasengan with the attackers body, blowing it away... when Naruto got to the landing spot he found out that the attacker used the replacement technique and had run away..
now our friend naruto was tasked with TRACKING hinata.. w/o a dog summon such as pakkun that kakashi has, so he had to do it the normal long winded way - SEARCH by himself..
for this, he did a TAJUU Kage bunshin and about 1000 clones appeared and set out to locate hinata...
somewhere along the line, a clone spotted blood trails......
He made all the clones dissapear and decided to sneakily follow the bloody trails... "I hope this blood isn't from Hinata... if it is..." he looked away for a bit, his eyes got a bit wet, but he pushed away his feelings and carried on following the bloody trail... "I hope this leads right to her..." he thought to himself, as he followed them various thoughts ran through is head... memories...

Part of naruto hoped that the blood he was following DID belong to hinata as that wld mean he was going in the right direction, however, part of him was worried that it was the enemies blood leading him away from hinata...
it was getting dark and the anxiety in his heart was getting heavier.. "i MUST find her tonight!"
further inwards he saw the glow of a campfire and crouched low... there he saw an unconscious hinata tied against a tree with her clothers with splouches of blood and torn here and there.. anger surged thru him at the thought of the enemy having injured hinata...

he felt kyuubi's chakra swelling within him.. but surprisingly, he knew to keep calm and formulate a plan.. something that he has been forcing himself to improve on... haha
He gazed at the black blanket that covered the earth
with glowing yellow dots.Naruto heard something- He then turned to hinata and saw that there was no sign of her.Hinata's disapearance was a mystery.By this time Naruto was VERY worried where hinata had flee off to.

He dashed deeper into the forest -no sign of hinata.By then he was tired ...and noticed he forgot the scrolls that lay by the giant tree.Insulting himself saying " what an idiot i am ..i forgot the damn scrolls!" he was lost in the big forest now he wished this quest never happened . If Tsunade didnt make them do the training
Hinata wouldnt have mysteriously disapeared and Naruto wouldnt have to find her while being lost in the forest ; he had nothing to contact for help.
He ran just a bit more and he found out some foot prints "Ano... these aren't from konoha Shinobi" Naruto thought to himself... and has he started to follow the footprints someone watched him high above in a tree... "hum... THERE" Naruto shouted and sent a kunai knife that gently cut through the air, hitting the tree right beside the shinobi's head "Hahaha..." a laugh was heard and Naruto looked around trying to see the movement of the enemy... "Show yourself..." Naruto shouted into the darkness of the forest.
As soon as he shouted that the shinobi attacked Naruto from above using a swirl kick, Naruto defended himself right on time... and punched the attacker on the stomach sending him backwards...

Naruto was terrified to touch hinata .What if it was a trap? ....But he had decided to untie hinata to avoid her from suffering the difficulty of breathing from the tight tied ropes around her .Pulling out his kunai knife - slicing the rope. he fell down a dark black hole.He was so doltish.how stupid am i? i knew they wouldnt let me through so soon.He was covered in filth..sweat around his face ; dirt on his clothes .He stood up from the trap he had fallen into and tryed to find a way to get out the the conflict before the mysterious attackers afear again..and it was soon.

"There must be a way out of here..." Naruto though to himself of a good way to exit the darkness filled hole... "I GOT IT" he replied with satisfaction in his voice "Kage bushin no jutsu" he said and suddendly a human ladder was formed out of the shadow clones, Naruto climbed and exited the hole... but when he got to the surface Hinata wasn't there already... someone had taken her "HINATA! I will NEVER forgive the ones that are doing you this..." He shouted apparently at no one...
Naruto started to look around for clues to lead him again to Hinata... but none where visible at the moment... soon a kunai knife flew and hit the ground near Naruto... he gazed at the knife that had an explosive tag in it and...

and the eplosion erupted. Naruto notice ; he had already morphed into a log.These creeps sure are tricky.He sensed something weird - he concluded to trace the it.Because it was taking a long time to trace what he sensed, he realized he was going in circles. concentrate to where the exit is. A moment later he found it. he walked out of the illusion , complimenting himself , " hahaha they cant beat me so easily!how dare they underestimate me!
Suddenly ,one sneaked up and captured the cocky naruto......
"LET ME GO" Naruto yelled at the attacker who used a imprisoning jutsu... "Now now... didn't u want to see ur friend?" the shinobi said to Naruto who replied with a growl, "You are gonna see her right when u wake up" the enemy shinobi said with an evil grin, Naruto just raised an eyebrow right before the shinobi hit him and made him faint....

-Konoha Village- "where could they possibly be? they should have reported by now..." Tsunade sat in her office thinking as of why the two of them hadn't come to the village for the night...

When Naruto awoke he was in a dank cell seemingly by himself. He looked around but everything was pitch black. Soon enough however, his eyes adjusted to the darkness. Unfortunately he could only see the contents of his cell. That was enough to demoralize the blonde haired Konohaian. On the bars were sealing sutras. He couldnt even go near them or he'd get a nasty zap from them, probably enough to knock him out again, which was something he didnt want.

After an hour and several hundred half baked escape plans passed, the boy noticed that there was someone else in the cell next to him. He couldnt tell who it was next to him however. He had hoped it was Hinata.

"Well....gotta take a chance." he said to himself. "Hello?"
"N-Naruto-kun?" a meek voice said from the darkness.
"YES!" he said loudly.
"They got you too?" The girl said softly.
"Yeah, but this pathetic tin can can't hold me!" he said with false confidence.
"Really?" Hinata said with renewed hope in her voice.
"YEAH!" he said pumping his hands in the air, "I'll have us outta here as soon as i figure out how to get out...of...here..."
"Oh..." The hope in the Hyuuga's voice was almost gone.

The two sat thinking for a moment. Then Naruto got an idea.

"HEY!!" he exclaimed. He started charging his rasengan. After a moment, he rushed the door and rammed it into to lock. The sutras resisted but only for a moment. The door gave way and flew out into the hallway making as much noise as physically possible. "YES!!"

He repeated the process on Hinata's cell, the door flew in though, almost hitting the girl. but that's another story.

They stood out in the hallway stretching for a moment. This respite only lasted a second however as they heard voices coming down the echoey corridor.

"What the hell was THAT?!" one of them said.
"Come on! That sounded like someone breaking out!"

"Ahhh Shiz!" Naruto swore to himself. He looked around. there was nowhere to hide and him wearing orange would probably stand out. "What now?!" He said....................

Hinata's whisper-like voice echoed in the darkened cell-room "Hinata go inside ur cell, GO" Naruto ordered her and she did as he said.

He jump up and hid in the darkness of the ceilling using the chakra flow to keep him up there... Soon the enemy shinobi entered the cell-room "What the hell?" one shouted at the other and the 2 of them ran to Hinata's and Naruto's cell's... they found Hinata in her cell and asked violently "Where you the one that did this... little girl?" one of the shinobi said menacingly at her as she stood and prepared to attack... "Naruto-kun..." she said to herself and has the 2 shinobi moved in for the attack Naruto unstuck himself from the ceiling and executed his favourite jutsu "KAGE BUSHIN NO JUTSU" and 5 clones including the real one fell on the two shinobi, who didn't have time to defend themselves....
the clones jumped onto the 2 shinobi and to end things quickly, naruto used to rasengan's on them.

once dead, naruto hurriedly grabbed hinata and together they concealed their charkras and tried to find their way out of the maze...

meanwhile back in konoha, tsunade is getting worried... "shizune!" she orders, "get kakashi and track down hinata and naruto! i dont want them sleeping together alone in a forest!"

"Tsunade-sama? you don't want them sleeping together? that isn't..." Shizune was interrupted by Tsunade raising an eyebrow "Do not question me, I know what i'm talking about" Shizune sighed and acknowledged the order, she left the building and went to find kakashi...

Back at where Naruto and Hinata were, they hadn't got out of the maze but had to hide several times from the Shinobi that were patrolling the area... "Hinata-chan have you seen the forehead protectors of these shinobi?" Naruto whispered at Hinata who replied "Ano... I-I think they aren't wearing one, visible at lease.." He then nodded and grabbed her hand gently, Hinata blushed instantly and Naruto moved with her along the corridors in search for the exit...
whilst moving, naruto was feeling strange.. very strange.... "its weird" he thought... "i've never felt such warmth radiating from someone else's hand...it feels so nice and so right to b doing this...." though he has grabbed sakura's hand b4, there was never any warmth such as this radiating from her hand...
He felt a surge of overprotectiveness flow thru him and intertwined his fingers with hinata's pulling her closer..
hinata let out an ek! of surprise and blushed furiously... "ano naruto-kun, anything wrong?"
"just stick closer to me hinata, i will never let them touch u again...."


Back to Shizune_
She reached kakashi's room and knocked on the door as it was rather late, she knocked loudly and called kakashi's name...
the door opened and shizune took a step back.. standing b4 her was a bare bodied kakashi... damn! he looked fine! LOL
with a yawn he said,"wassup shizune? its rather late u know..."
"orders from Tsunade! we are to immediately set out and track down naruto and hinata.. they went to the forest to train earlier and have yet to return.. tsunade is worried about what may happen between them alone in the forest at night...."
to this kakashi replied,"oooooo! thats interesting! lets go! once we find them, lets SPY on them! i wanna c what kinda moves naruto has!" ha ha ha

kakashi changed and together they left konoha village to track them down, pakkun was summoned and acted as their guide..

-Konoha- Shizune raised an eyebrow at kakashi that turned a way to get suited up, "well, shall we go see how Naruto is doing?" Kakashi asked her as he closed his room door, "Lets go then, hurry" she directed to Kakashi who followed her to Tsunade's office for a bit of an update on the situation, kakashi was worried deep inside.
-Naru- Back at the dungeon Hinata was still blushing just by looking at their hands and knowning that Naruto was there, "I really hope i don't pass out" Hinata thought to herself, suddendly Naruto turned, grabbed her by her two arms and closed up his face with hers, Hinata's blushing got out of control and she started to look at him with a growing desire, "Hinata-chan.. I hear voices up ahead, maybe it's a room full of shinobi, maybe it's just some prisoners, but I just want to get out of here for now, and I want to keep you safe, concentrate" Naruto said that with a gentle look on his face and almost glued to Hinata's so that he could whisper and she could hear it, Hinata just nodded in reply and as Naruto turned away facing the other direction she grabbed his hand like he had grabbed hers before, Naruto felt a wierd feelling running through him...
"Could you check if theres anyone under our feet?" ,naruto pointed down at the stone floor. she did as she said , activating her byuugan..and he stared down at the floor.There was a guard passing by. "i-ichi" she said. "only one?! HAHA " naruto shout..then cuffed his mouth for being loud.what the hell dont be that loud you moron!!!.

He summoned one clone of him then they performed resengan and shot it right at the floor .It even knocked down the weak guard. They quickly ran around a corner and exited the evil peoples residence. But they havnt check to see was there a trap out side....

-Konoha- Shizune and Kakashi arrived at Tsunade-sama's office, they entered and exchanged greetings, "So, whats the matter?"Kakashi asked her, "As you already know the two of them are missing... lots of things can happen and i want you to go look for them since every other jounin is on missions... they were sent here" Tsunade finished her briefing and pointed to an area of the forest.. "Oh? U sent them there? they shouldn't be too hard to find... i'll go right away" Kakashi replied and left the room faster than the wind before Tsunade could say anything else, "Well, lets see what those two are up too..." Kakashi said with a small smile in his masked face..
-Naruto- They saw one of the exits, Naruto sprinted as fast as he could while pulling her by her soft hand, "Let's go Hinata we're almost there!" he said looking at her, "N-Naruto-kun" she replied reliefed, but a large number of voices were heard right behind them, "Was I too loud?" Naruto asked no one in particular, Hinata looked back in the exit and fell on the ground "HINATA" Naruto shouted and ran back, "Naruto-kun,don't turn back" she begged him but to no avail, he ran back and picked her up "I told you that i'd never let them touch you again, lets go!" he said while holding her in his arms, he couldn't run as fast with Hinata on him, and the shinobi gained pace, "Naruto-kun, we won't make it" she said, "WE WILL, and everytime you say we don't i'll try harder" Naruto replied and start running faster as his chakra leaked out of him slowly.
running faster and faster as his chakra continue to leak from his body, naruto reached a clearing in the forest with hinata still on his back.
running to the middle of the clearing, he paused.
"ano, w-why have we stopped, naruto-kun?" hinata asked
putting her down and falling into a defensive stance, naruto replied "they're here"
as hinata trembled slightly, she struggled to rise to her feet despite her ankle that was still injured.
i won't let naruto-kun do this alone she thought, just as pain shot through her entire leg as she fell back down to the ground.
still in his stance, naruto turned to face hinata slightly with his classic grin saying, "don't worry hinata, i'll protect you...i promised that i would never let these guys touch you again"
(sfx-movement in a nearby tree)
"there" naruto yelled as he threw a kunai to the spot.
(sfx-metal clashing followed by a slight chuckle)
as the enemy nin that was hiding there stepped out into the clearing followed by several others....they were surrounded

Naruto cursed silently to himself as he looked at the oncoming ninja.What am I gonna do? he thought to himself.

"Naruto-kun..." the wounded girl in his arms started to say. "I want to help..."
"Hinata-chan, you're in no condition to fight..." he said with a false smile. "Allow me, the future rokudaime, to take them on." I don't know HOW i'm going to protect Hinata-chan AND fight off these guys...
"But Naruto..."
"No buts," He said placing a finger over her lips causing the girl to blush slightly. "I swear, I won't lose. I vow to win. THAT is my nindo."
"Naruto-kun..." She smiled inwardly. How could no one else see in him what she saw? He always made hopeless situations seem possible, he was always nice, he was the most selfless person she knew.
If only he felt the same way... she thought to herself, suddenly depressed.

Naruto propped Hinata's body up against a large tree. He turned around and slid into a fighting stance.

"Not one of you will even lay a hand on her." he said confidently.
"Hehe, I doubt that..." One of them said causing the others to snicker.
"Hey, why not make a sport outta this?" suggested one. "Try to have a little fun."
"Hehe, first one to get to the girl get's all three meals for payed for for one week."
"Sounds good to me."
"Why you..." Naruto growled in fury. The Foxes chakra started to well up inside him. "I'd like to see you try." His grin widenned as did the lines on his face. "Let's go."

Naruto slowly drew a kunai.
"Come at me you FILTH!!" he screamed. The demeanor on the faces of his enemies changed at the insult.
"Who are YOU calling FILTH?!" One yelled as he charged Naruto, kunai in hand. He slashed at Naruto's head, an easily predicted move, and just as easily dodged. But Naruto didnt want to drag this out with dodging, he leaned forward slightly and blocked the kunai with his forhead protector. "What th--RRRGHHHH!!!!" He started to say, but a kunai lodged in his leg made it difficult to continue his sentence.

"Like i said. Filth" Naruto said with a smile.
"Why you--!" The same ninja started again but was cut off by a swift kick to the jaw followed by another kick to the stomach. "Next?" Naruto said confidently.
"Hehe, I'll wipe that smile right off your face boy." said the next ninja as he charged. He wung two shuriken at Naruto which were deflected easily by Naruto's kunai. The oncoming ninja pulled out two wakazashi and swung both at Naruto's head in a cross slash. Naruto ducked down, I hope this works... he said to himself as he attempted to mimic Lee's lotus. Naruto's kick connected with the jaw of his attacker. YES!! He thought to himself as he saw the body of the Ninja fly into the air. However he then realized that he could not open any inner body gates, therefore could not pull off the Primary Lotus. Ohh well...guess I should thank Sasuke for this...

"LION RENDAN!!!" He yelled as he pummeled the falling body of the ninja with a series of kicks. Naruto skidded back towards Hinata. As soon as he gained his balance he looked to see an unconcious body lying on the ground. YESS!! He proclaimed inwardly. However his gloating would have to wait as three more ninjas attacked. They were in a triangle formation, one in front and two a few yards behind. Naruto charged a rasengan, dodged a slice from a kama, and rammed it into the arm of his attacker, ripping it clean off. Unfortunately, while he was preoccupied with the now one-armed ninja, the other two passed him and were well on their way to getting to Hinata.

"Haha!! Nice try kid! But that girl's as good as ours!!"
"NO ONE TOUCHES HINATA-CHAN!!! He half-roared as two arms of boiling red chakra exploded from his arms. "NO ONE!!" The two boiling arms grabbed the two ninja and hurled them into a cove of trees. Naruto's eyes were blood red now. A tail of chakra emerged from his back. "Nexxxt?" He hissed.
Hinata witnessed it all... she was wide eyed at what Naruto was doing, and although she felt safe, she was just a little bit scared at the same time... "Nexxxt" Naruto Hissed and crouched, putting his hands on the ground and preparing to move with all four... "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT?" the attacking shinobi asked each other.. "who cares... KILL HIM!" One of them yelled, half of the shinobi went in for the kill... Naruto growled loudly and let himself get hit by the incoming shinobi's taijutsu attacks.

Hinata got worried for Naruto but suddendly Naruto got up and a wave of reddened energy was felt, sending the enemy shinobi to the ground, Naruto moved lightning fast and grabbed a shinobi by the foot, and violently bashed him on the ground, filling it with blood, and then he sent the corpse flying to the remaining shinobi "WHO DARES TOUCH HER NOW" Naruto growled under his heavy breathing "RUUUUUUUUN HE'S A FREAK!" the remaining shinobi ran away as fast as they could but Naruto went after them and stretched a red hand of chakra that smashed the remaining group of the shinobi, leaving one alive that had run away. Naruto fell on the ground of the battlefield, tired... Hinata limped and sat beside him "Naruto-kun?" His silence worried her "NARUTO-KUN!" she hugged him and tears welled her eyes.
Hinata continued to weep as the one she had loved all her life was motionless in her arms. How could she have let him fight all alone? she thought to herself.
"This is all my fault" Hinata said aloud as she continued to cry
"Please forgive me Naruto, I won't be in the way like this again"

Naruto awakens as Hinata's tears continue to fall upon his forehead
"Hinata this isn't your fault at all." Naruto says slowly as he pants from exhaustion
"Naruto-kun...!?" Hinata says happy to hear his voice as well as puzzled

"If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have been able to fend those guys off, I may have ended up dead, but your presence hear filled me with the power I needed to protect you and me."
Naruto tries to get up but his left arm is scratched up pretty bad.
"Naruto you're bleeding, let me patch you up a bit?" says Hinata
Pulling herbs and various plants up from their roots Hinata finds the right ingredients to treat his wound. All the time, Naruto is in amazement at the beautiful creature in front of him, caring for him so much to try and heal him up before she even thinks about her own wounds.
"Now this may sting a bit Naruto" Hinata tells him as she applies the mixture
"OWWW" exclaims Naruto as the pain causes him to wrap his arms around the closest thing they could find, Hinata.
Meanwhile kakashi and shizune we're arriving at the scene "Did u sense the immense power that faded just minutes ago?" Shizune asked kakashi who nodded in reply "Yes i did... and more than that..." they both went silent and reach at where the fight had occurred... Naruto was laying right beside Hinata... Kakashi stopped just in time, and so did Shizune... they were hidden but could see the two teenagers clearly "Oooohhh this is interesting..." Kakashi said with a smile on his face, "I think we should go help them..." she replied at him, "No, let's see how they do... or better, what they do" Kakashi let out a muffled laugh...
Hinata blushed instantly as Naruto pushed himself against her just like a baby needing his mother and almost sat, Naruto opened his eyes and notice he had is face almost glued to Hinata face, that was completely red and speechless, "She feels so warm... and why is she blushing? could it be?" Naruto thought to himself and let go of her laying himself on the ground again, "I-I'm sorry Hinata" he said with a little embarassment... "It's.. it's alright.. Naruto-kun, are you ok?" Hinata asked him clearly embarassed... Naruto sat in front of her and replied "yes I'm okay... you don't need to blush you know", she was wide mouthed "could he have understood what i feel?" she thought to herself...

she was apalled ...but within her it felt good.did naruto finally realize she love him? she gazed up at naruto . Naruto faught all his heart on the attackers he was confident in everything he does ,he never gives up! i cant beleive everyone else like sasuke-kun but naruto is the cool one. No!!! naruto likes sakura not me!!He likes sakura!!! Hinata had an uncomfortable look. "um hinata are you okay?" ...hinata turning into a tomatoe - it was a habit she couldnt breack. "um yes N-naruto-kun im f-fine" .

*crakle* someone stepped on a twig and it snap in half. Naruto automatically look behind him and studied it before saying " who's there?" . A moment leter Naruto went to check behind the bush .."Shizune??? why are you here?? " . She smile suspiciously . Kakashi jumped down the tree next to shizune ," argh this would have been perfect it you didnt ruin it!!!... " hey its natural!!! what do you want
a janitor to clean up all the scraps at night?" . Naruto and hinata were pissed at how immature kakashi and shizune are.....
shizune did some healing to the more major wounds and complimented hinata on her use of first aid... "perhaps we shld train u more in medical jutsus hinata....u seem to have a skill for it.."

together naruto and hinata told kakashi and shizune what had happened... when they returned to knonoha, they immediately reported to tsunade afterwhich, tsunade treated naruto and hinata in the hospital and made them stay for 2 days there.. they even shared the same hospital room together!

tsunade said, "dont think just cos u were attacked means that i forgot about ur mission... u will continue training as soon as u are both healed.. however, u will remain within konoha until we are certain the enemy is completely eradicated!"

Now being fully recovered from their injuries, Naruto and Hinata had to continue their rigorous training with the scrolls. Since they were not allowed to leave the village, they now had to find a new place to train.
"So Hinata, it seems like we're stuck in Konoha and we need a place to train, got any ideas?" Naruto said with a wide grin upon his face.
"I know of a little spot in Konoha that is nice and quiet, if thats ok with you Naruto-kun?" Hinata said while looking at the floor.
"Great idea, it's good have a calm place to train, so which direction?"
"That way." said hinata pointing North.
"Ok then lets GO!" exclaimed Naruto as he grabbed Hinata by the wrist and pulled her along.
In a sense Hinata wanted Naruto to let go of her as her wrist was starting to feel sore, but she realized that this was the second time in less than a week that she got to feel the soft touch of Naruto's hands, so she let him drag her away.
"Naruto-kun we're here so..."
"Wow this place is amazing Hinata, nice little lake over here to go swimming. Some trees with all types of food on them! You're the coolest Hinata!"
"Gomenasai Naruto-kun, I come here when i'm not training with.."
"This lake reminds me of that one mission where we looked for that bug, and some really beautiful girl appeared out of the water this one night!"
"Yes I remember that mission Naruto." Hinata said as she blushed knowing that Naruto was actually talking about her, even giving out a little chuckle.
"Hey what's so funny? Did I miss something?"
"Oh nothing, guess it's time for us to get to our training now right?"
"Yeah guess you're right, so what's next on the list?"

kk here it goes!

as it turns out, next on the list was something foreign to both of them... (and to me! haha)
mini grass/bush fires...
so they began to mould their chakras and practice as per the scroll indicated...
both of them got minor burns but they continued throughout the day.. furthermore, this time they brought their sleeping bags and some stores to last a week or so... it was too much of a hassle to travel home and back again, even though they were within their village.

after the 2nd day of continuous training naruto was starting to get egitated cos he wasnt quite getting the hang of things..

he decided to go for a swim and stripped to his boxers. Hinata flushed immediately and turned away.. but to naruto, there was nothing wrong and he went in front of hinata repeatedly as she tried each time to turn away, asking whats wrong?

he gave up after abit and jumped into the lake! he yelled, "Hinata! the water is great! u shld try too! abit of relaxation never hurt anyone!"

though hesitant she thought, "heck! its not everyday i can swim with naruto!" so she went behind a bush and changed into her one-piece swimsuit...

together they swam around and squirted water at each other and talked about simple day to day stuff... (they aren't that close yet) hinata felt her shyness slowly melt away with more time that she spent with naruto.. naruto realized that she was able to calm him down so easily, just by the sound of her voice naruto will feel calm and at ease...

as the sun set, they dried off and sat in front of a fire for dinner... after a nice simple meal, they talked abit and naruto drifted off to sleep.

hinata stayed awake and watched him sleep.. she realized that naruto reminded her of something. the water training!

she had put that off due to the lack of a lake and here she was! just next to a lake! she had to practice her gentle fist and improve on a newer style that she had to learn from the hyuuga clan.

she wore her "water training attire" shorts and a sports bra.. (haha show some skin!)

and started, on and on she went, blocking aside the time and naruto...


naruto awoke... blinking at the twinkling stars... mmmmm.... where's hinata? he wondered..

he heard faint splashings and decided to investigate... there under the moonlight.. he saw his beautiful girl once more.. seemingly glilding and dancing on top of the water.. he gazed in awe and wanted to find out who this girl was... it must have been fate that he could lay eyes upon her once more.. after all these years!

he walked over to the water edge and called out, "ano.........."

the girl got a shock and slipped onto the water, as she suddenly lost her chakra control she dropped into the lake..

naruto hurriedly ran across and reached in his hand to drag out the beautiful girl.... just nice the moonlight appeared thru the clouds and naruto looked into the beautiful blushing pale face of hinata....

naruto was stunned! "i never realized that hinata was always this beautiful... how could i have been such a fool to never see it??" he asked himself...

hinata was so flulstered as she shivered and scrambled out of naruto's arms.. she realized just how little clothes she was wearing and was immediately embarresed and tried to cover her bare parts with her arms...

naruto, took off his jacket and passed it her.. "here u go, u are breaking out in goose bumps. let's go back and get a fire going for u to warm up...."

Hinata gently took his jacket and put it on as they were walking, "It smells just like him..." she thought to herself, Naruto suddendly put an arm around her when they reached the sleeping bags and looked at her with a kind look on his face "Wait here, i'll get the fire started", Hinata just nodded in reply and sat on the ground shivering quite a bit... Naruto gathered some logs in front of the sleeping bags "So, now I will show you how great i am by managing a fire using what we've been trying to learn" He said with a grin on his face, "N-Naruto-Kun..." Hinata replied with a gentle smile,
"Ne ne, watch" he simply put it and concentrated, he started to perform the seals and the two of them were waiting for it to happen, suddendly Naruto's shirt starts to burn "Ano sa, whats that smell?" He asked Hinata "Naruto-kun! you shirt!", "Huh? AHHHHHH" Naruto panicked (like he always does ) and went to the lake to put out the fire, he came back and sat... "NOW I WILL DO IT, STUPID LOGS CATCH FIRE, NOW!" he said out loud and concentrated more... performed the seals and a large fire errupted from the logs, surprising Naruto whose face got a bit blackened, "See I told you I'd do it.." Naruto said scratching is head a bit embarassed... "Naruto-kun... ur all dirty" Hinata said with a giggle and approached Naruto with a hankie (spelling? xD) and cleaned his face
As the girl touched the hankie to Naruto's face, he felt a chill go up and down his back. He hadnt remembered feeling like this about ANYONE before this girl. Not even Sakura. Naruto gulped as the girl cleaned his face. Noting the odd demeanor in the boy, Hinata gave him a slight smile. The kind of smile that would melt any mans heart in an instant. Naruto's mouth was agape. How could he not have noticed this beautiful girl all this time? It baffled him. He then decided that he was an ignorant bastard.

"Ano...are you okay Naruto??"
"GAK!!" He snapped back into reality. "Y-Yeah!" He stammered "Hunky and dory!!" Hinata chuckled.
"You always make me laugh Naruto-kun." She said, weilding that deadly smile. "You always make everything better." Naruto was on the verge of crying from the cuteness that eminated from the girl. In order not to give anything away to the prodding hyuuga eyes, he turned away.
"Nah," He said, trying to be cool, "I always screw up, I'm immature and can't look at the world in a grown up way." He said, almost sulking.
"That's why you always make things better Naruto..." she said twiddling her fingers. "You always believe that everything will turn out all right, even if things seem hopeless...and you're not afraid to be yourself...I respect that...a lot." Naruto gulped again. A long and very awkward silence followed.

Hinata looked at the boy next to her. His ice blue eyes were staring intently in front of him. She smiled, At least I get to be with him... Suddenly, as if of it's on voilition, Hinata's body started to move forward, towards the boy. I've gotta do it... she said as if possessed, If he doesnt feel the same way, so be it...I just don't want to have any regrets. She was about to peck him on the cheek, when suddenly he turned his head.

"Neh, HinmmmPPHHHH!!?" His sentence was cut off as their lips met.

Kakashi was taking a late night walk and was passing by the field they were in, he sensed ppl and decided to go look "WHAAAAA..." kakashi said out aloud but closed his mouth with his hands before he could scare the two of them, "Oh... Naruto i see u have a hand for these type of things" Kakashi whispered to himself with a smile on his face and decided to spy on them, again... Hinata was wide-eyed and so was Naruto... Oh no... what have i done? Hinata thought to herself, the kiss only lasted for a few moments longer until Hinata broke it "I-I'm sorry N-Naruto-kun", Naruto was speechless and didn't say a word No one ever kissed me before... she is the first, and I feel wierd he thought to himself, the girl stood up, still wearing his jacket, and misunderstood Naruto's silence for him being angry, since she has low self-esteem she thought that Naruto didn't like her, nor the kiss ... "I-I'm really sorry" as she said this she ran away from the lake and their camp site "Oi, Hinata WAIT!" Naruto shouted but she was already out of view...

Naruto decided to stay and think of what had happened "Why did she react like that? did i do something wrong? I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!" he said to apparently no one... and a frown made itself to his face...
Poor Naruto... I've seen that happen before with other ppl Kakashi thought and all his enthusiasm was apparently lost... should i go there and make him feel better? nah, he has to learn... he is no longer a child, he will eventually understand what love is... Kakashi decided and left his spot, Naruto noticed someone but didn't really care at that time "Well I guess I'll pack things up and start looking for her, I need to understand why she did it and what is happening... and what the hell is this wierd feeling i'm having!" as he said this Naruto packed the jutsus scrolls and the two sleeping bags... "God this is heavy... but it isn't gonna stop me! Uryaryaryaryarya" Naruto said and started running full speed looking like a pack mule. And so he started looking for her...

Kakashi silently left to tell Shizune what he had witnessed... with all his heart he hoped that baka naruto wld grow some brains and sensitivity and make this alright with hinata.. she was just to frail to take a backfire and rejection...

Hinata_
As she ran thru the woods, she was crying... tears flowed endlessly down her cheeks as she scolded herself mentally for making a move on naruto.. "i should have known nothing good wld come outta it! naruto-kun doesnt think of me that way! he likes sakura!" sob sob sob

Suddenly, hinata tripped over a root and feel on her hands and knees... a slight pain shot up her ankle and she cried harder... "i'm such a clumsy fool! no wonder naruto-kun will never b impressed by me..... i hope he doesnt find me..... i just wanna leave and hide my face from him forever.. i hope he forgets about what happens..." sob sob sob....

Hinata dragged herself to a tree and propped herself against it...

Unfortunately, in no time at all she heard rustling and foot steps..

Naruto appeared panting and dumped all the things onto the floor... "hinata.........." He noticed her tears and his heart ached with the sudden realization that he was the cause of those tears...

"Hinata... i'm sorry........ i'm sorry for making u cry..... i was just surprised"

Hinata replied tearfully, "i'm sorry too naruto-kun... i - i -i... didnt mean for it to happen... it was an accident.. .please forget about it.... it was just an accident..." She Lied to him.... hoping that things wld just return to normal..

Upon hearing this, naruto's heart sank... he was shocked to realize that what hinata said actually pained him.. more than any other words had hurt him before....

"OH...." he replied...

"lets turn in for the night hinata... perhaps some rest will make u feel better....and if u want, we can go home 2mor too." (he's still dense..... haha)

Fogetting about her hurt ankle, hinata pushed herself up and when pressure was applied on her ankle, she shrieked in pain and her legs gave out on her...

naruto caught her around her waist just in time and pulled her up against him... "you're hurt!" we best treat it!"

he swept hinata off her feet and carried her to a nearby clearing... gently he laid her down and asked her to wait.. he ran back and grapped all the things and brougt them to a clearing.. making a fire (correctly this time), he put some water to boil to make a hot drink..

he took hinata's ankle and gently massaged and rotated it... he than bound her ankle with cloth tightly...

Looking at hinata, naruto asked, "what's wrong? why did u run off?"
"i was embarressed....i didnt want u to think badly of me for kissing u.......it was by accident.... u turned unexpectedly..."

"Hinata.... please dont b embarressed with me.... there's no need for that.... i - i - i... was just shocked... i never got kissed bby anyone before..."

as hinata kept quiet.. naruto pressed on with a change of suject.. "so it was u the other time in the water as well.... u looked really nice hinata.... u looked... like an angel...." He met her eyes and his heart thumped faster... by instinct his hand just moved out to touch hers... "the warmth of ur hand..... its something i've never felt before hinata....... why.. why does it feel so nice just to hold ur hand? why do i feel so happy just being with u? why do u make me feel so calm and at ease? i dont understand hinata-chan.....i feel like i always wanna be with u, always want to feel that kinda warmth as never b4 have i felt something so warm yet nice in my heart before..."

naruto looked so lost that hinata's heart went out to him.... " i think it's because u've never felt love naruto-kun...." This pierced naruto's heart... and tears of pain and loneliess spilled out of his baby blue eyes... (haha!)

hinata pulled him to lie his head on her lap as he cried.... "u cry all u want naruto-kun...." as she stroked his head and comforted him as he cried...

as hinata stroked naruto she felt so hurt.... "to think that though we are like this... i know he wont wanna b with me... sigh... i wish he loved me.... i wish he would like to b with me..."

in the comfort of hinata's arms.... naruto though upset was feeling for the first time, something like a form of love..
he turned in hinata's lap to look up at her... "hinata....." he spoke with such thick emotion in his voice...
"tell me more about yourself..... tell me about u hinata... i wanna know more about u...."

hinata was stunned.. no one wanted to know bout her.. and here, the guy she was admiring her whole life, was asking her... the question brought about painful and hurting memories.. but she opened her soul to naruto.. telling him about her family and her pain.....all the years growing up...

when she was done.. she asked naruto, "how about u? what about ur parents?"

"erm... i dont know hinata.... no one tells me anything bout them..."

hinata's heart went out to him, and she reached out and touched his arm... "dont worry...i'm sure u will know one day..."

naruto felt so nice upon hearing that.... she sounded so assuring and soothing that she just cast all his pain aside... she was making her way into his heart, and he didnt want that to ever stop... he wanted to spend more time with her...
"neh hinata...... would u like to go the the summer festival in konoha with me on saturday?"

Naruto's proposal surprised Hinata...Is he asking me out on a date? she thought to herself, hope refilling her soul.. "Ano... I think i'm free on Saturday, so I think we can go N-Naruto-kun" Hinata replied blushing a bit more. Naruto's face filled with joy with her answer, Woohoo, i'm gonna spend some more time with her i want to know her a bit better... maybe then i'll understand what i feel, maybe it is love He thought to himself and still in Hinata's lap he shouted "Woohooooooo", Hinata clearly noticed that he was happy with her reply but still is victory shout out of no where surprised her and gave her a small scare, "Ne ne, Hinata-chan gomen ne, I didn't mean to scare you..." Naruto said and look up to her face, her hair was movingly softly in the wind like midnight coloured waves... she blushed a bit as their eyes met and Naruto said like a whisper "Hinata... I love you hair, it goes well with ur eyes" she blushed even more at his comment and as he saw her blushing, she moved his hand up and touch her face and hair, again he felt the warmth he had never felt before "You really look like u have a fever Hinata..." he said with a teasing tone in his voice and a smile that never left his face.
