lol thank you for that Leo. I haven't seen hide nor hair of austin in a very long time and I can't really remember what I last saw from him. In truth I made that because I was bored and I was hyped about E3 so I just had to make one. I love the no brushes concept because it makes me feel more original and I don't have to give credit to brushes :P.

I think I had a Seito Shokun moment once in elementary school. My 5th grade teacher retired in the middle of the school year(wtf?) and we had to get a sub for the rest of the year. The sub was pure EVILLL. The whole class hated her. >__>'' Then in middle school she even subbed for a few of my other teachers...I thought I was being tortured or something. ;_;

I definately want to hear you criticise my work. That's the reason I asked to join.

One thing though, I won't fix any of the sigs I currently have up, seeing as I no longer have the psd files for them. So if you tell me where I went wrong, I'll use that knowledge for the next time I create a sig.

The green is gone, but there's still one thing that's troubling me. I think it's debatable, and is based on the artist's style, but I would replace the green area you had with something lighter/creamy rather than the dark purple color you replaced it with.

but overall, I think you have it at near-perfect. Maybe more work with the cropping (the contour line is still visible), but that's unnecessary.

Sorry for the late happy birthday Leo, but I've been busy with my own coming up so soon. Great tags Ero, but yeah blending would make it look better. As a overall help for blending try brushing over the tag and erasing most but the edges and it should go into the background a bit better. I myself use displace maps that do the same thing but I think they have a cooler effect.

About the sig:
The last one is the best. I suppose it's because it's no as smooth at the others. I do enjoy the green. The transition between very light to sudden dark throws it off a bit, I think.

I like v3. v4 seems to be a little too sharp and is roughening the skin's texture. v2 and v3 are pretty much the same (different colors), but the green makes the face cold and lifeless (just my opinion).

I'm getting better, but this one I was merely trying out all my neat effects. It was a learning tool, but I still like it because of the concept.

@uchiha Kina:not bad. but i think the background colour blends in too much with her hair. Try a lighter or darker shade of purple so that her hair stands out a bit.

Uchiha. Your text is taking up way to much space in a negative way. Like the swirl but the whole sig is lacking depth. Work on adding more colors. Different shades of what ever color is in the picture. Should help add depth and on top of that give the sig a more complete look. Also you might wanna start trying larger canvases so that you have more to work with. You can always crop the canvas down if you think there is to much empty space or it doesn't fit the sig right.

My current sig I toned it down a bit. Also a reminder try and look at my sig on a black canvas if you can most of all my signatures look much better on one.

1st and 2nd would look a lot better without the text in my eyes. 3rd is iffy when it comes to if the text needs to be there cause it seems to fill the sig quite well.

I put a link in your Sora sig to a site that I visit that has very impressive tutorials for all levels. Check it out when you get the chance and try a few out should help you immensely because I remember when I first started the only thing that really got me going was tutorials because they gave me the hope that I was getting better at the program.

Needs to lose some of the height. Then the bar will look more in place. Also the one I'm on looks purple rather than blue. Add more shades of it around the stock though so it has more depth.

@leo - I'm liking it so far. I agree with everyone about the bar, and maybe keep adding some more colors? xD Can't wait to see it finished though

my smudging tool has gone beserk; everything gets warped into black, kind of like a "black hole" tool.

Needs to lose some of the height. Then the bar will look more in place. Also the one I'm on looks purple rather than blue. Add more shades of it around the stock though so it has more depth.

I'm not talking about the font standing out, and the fact that it is, is good. I'm talking about the fact that the font is very plain, you should try to improvise. That's my opinion, disregarding it would probably be best, but I don't know...

I'm very sure it's the smudge tool. I don't know, every now and then it works properly, but those times are at random.

The font is supposed to stand out.

Though, it's just kinda floating there. It's not really tied down to anything, and it doesn't relate to anything in the sig. Font should stand out, but not too much. Also, the ripple filter is nice, but it makes the sig look flatter because of the repeditiveness. Try to add depth by creating diverse effects with contrasting values.

Great stuff on the sharpened Can't said it looks bad at all. The simplicity works very very well with the stock the text looks good but I dunno what it is suppose to say.

jeff: im really digging the sharpened sig mate. it's against my nature but it's just good. maybe a tad more contrast on the stock wouldnt hurt though. not sure, just something to consider.

emi: <3 the last one. just good stuff there. the expression is priceless.

silencer: you may have the "use all layers" option checked at the top when you select the smudge tool. That my explain the erratic natuer of your tool's behavior because it would be based on your backgrounds in specific areas. Post up a screenie with the smudge tool selected if that isnt the issue.

Ero: Love the soft colors and great flow presented but the colors don't work right with it maybe if blue was a closer color to orange it would. Nah its not that. The tricks to make a sig look good are a lot more difficult to perform than that of Adobe Photoshop.

I only need to use 35 layers on a vector or a recolor. Other than that if you have that many in a sig its to busy.
