on the first one, a bit of the "wave" work, or im assuming that's what it is, is a bit random. personally I'd like to see some of it smoothed out a bit, but i love composition and the colors mate.

second, im not sure about the pattern around the stock seems to really clash with the style of the background. other than that though mate i dig it. very out there, in a good way.

first one i like the blur effect, usally i see only one stock but you pulled the double "stock" off nicely.

like bod said the patterns through the sig of. other than that awesome

Wow. I come back to some hella vivid surprises. I'm glad you guys have been doing so good. I had been busy from my multiple very difficult classes.

Anyway. Before long I'm going to be dipping into 3D map making with my recently obtained Unreal Editor 3. Hell I might even learn how to make 3D models with it. Nonetheless I have began my journey into the world of the 3D.

Also my computer is beefy now. I have my 100 Tritton headphones. My G15 gaming keyboard. My G5 Gaming Mouse. My 8800 GT superclocked. I'm feeling good about my computer for once.

Also just so I don't get rusty I will post a photoshop work here in the week following this one.

The art in it was GREAT. I loved the backgrounds. It was all lush and colorful. And a great story overall, nothing too flashy.

cause normally what i'd do is brush a bg and then use filters to see what kinda shapes it turns out..like brush a bg and then use a filter like distort > ocean ripple and then something else...yeahh


pretty much see what you can do with brush experiments and you might end up making a great background outta it to compliment the stock chosen

Oh no, I know how to use brushes alright! I know how to use effects too, I was working on something last night with brushes and it looked kinda nice, until I screwed up. I just don't know which brushes and which effects to use to make sigs like you guys. I just need help on the right brushes and the right effects. I used Filter>Distort>Wave and it turned out pretty nice for what I was doing.

have a go with the Natural Media 2 brushes, those can create some nice effects.
also if u know how, make splatter out of the default brushes, thats useful too.

Otherwise, i think the only thing u want to remember is to play around with contrasting/ complimenting colors, i.e.darker shades of a color etc. etc.

Gradient maps are useful too.

I downloaded a few this morning, I will look for that one later. I think gradients are cool and I have used them from time to time.

But if I do a brush on top of it in white it will be a white outline, correct?
But what if I do it in another color, say black and the gradient is from a soft blue to white?

I did a black brush over a white-to-blue gradient and it kinda came out like grey. It looked like a really cool billboard you would see in California, I'm gonna do it in white to see what I get.
