Well, they did fight before. For the exams... but the cursed seal did kinda hold back sasuke from using his full strength. Even so, I think the outcome would have been the same. I think Gaara would win.

gaara will either control sand in which the enemy will inhale it, once inhaled, he can control the sand and let it feed on the enemies chakra, draining them out, or just simply suffocate or crush the enemies heart... the other way, gaara be the sand and enter the enemies body and does the same! hoohah!!

thats usually the case every now and than... 2 pple will carry on a conversation until a 3rd pops up...hehe

mmm....i think initiall he was feared..plus the council members did say that they allowed him to b kazekage cos they feared him and as kazekage they could keep a better watch on him..
however he saved the village with the shield of sand.. and i think that may have touched the hearts of many of the villages.. that to save them, he sacrificed himself cos he put his attention away from that Akatsuki member who was chasing him and got caught in the process..
also, at the end after he was rescued by naruto and gang, many of the ninjas appeared and arrived wanting to save Gaara..
Definately i feel that the villager's opinions of Gaara has improved greatly.. especially now without the Biju in him, they would not fear him as much and finally Gaara will b acknowledged and accepted by the villagers.. yeah!

Well I think he{ll be strong but was the demon that make him soo phyco (and sexy) and what gave him this thing that make him more strong and dangerous. Maybe without him he wont be that strong, respectable.

Gaara would really need to learn more jutsus since his defense has gone down... Most probably, he should learn taijutsu combined with his long attack range then he would really be unstoppable.

hmm this is hard but i still go with gaara cause well look at him hes a kazekage and what is lee? exactly :) lee may be very strong but gaara still can use his sand for defense and offense and he can also sleep now so hell have alot more energy and since hell have more energy and no demon inside of him he MUST be faster so he can get behind lee and knock him to the ground with sand then finish him quickly with desert coffin
