Actually, I think he became Chuunin anyway. Because when he caught up to Kankuro, he said something along the lines of "I am a chuunin of the Hidden Leaf. Don't underestimate me." So I think he became chuunin. Oh yeah, and I'm in. I knew I could find a Shino fanclub somewhere!

But for the Kankuro topic...he definitely would have become a chuunin. Like ShinobiKnight said, the only person smarter than Shino is Shikamaru. But Shino has a swarm of deadly, chakra-eating bugs living under his skin, so I think he beats Shika anyway. ^_^

I mean, look at it this way...if Shika and Shino were to fight, and Shika were to lock Shino with the Kagemane no Jutsu, the bugs could still get out and get Shika. So, Shino is also easily one of the strongest shinobi in the village. My thoughts, anyway.

I doubt it. Shino is sort of an antisocial person, so he wouldn't become friends with anybody he didn't have to put up with every day, like Kiba.

That just means Shino acknowledges Naruto, and wants Naruto to acknowledge him as well. Shino probably just wants to get on Naruto's good side, to have more allies to cover his back when he needs help. Naruto's too stupid to cooperate, though. Most likely, that part was simply thrown in for kicks.

I don't think Shino's worried about having protection-- I mean, his bug jutsus are powerful, and in the anime he can even create a shield out of them. And I don't think he doubts his own power very much. Besides, I think he would want to try and take care of himself instead of being taken care of. I agree with the acknowledgement part though. And really, it's been two and a half years since they last saw each other, who knows how much he might have changed?

(Okay, sure, the outfit makes him look more reclusive but meh. Details, details.)

For the new look, I like it. He looks more reclusive, with the hood and the higher collar, but I honestly have to say it's pretty cool. ^_^

the banner is not bad.. like the green color.. the font not so nice though... but the stock is good...
