i already started off a topic some posts back.. it was, "what's so awesome about being a girl, what makes us different from guys..."

besides having boobs, I think that what makes us awesomely awesome is that we were able to overcome so many hurdles in history - we wernt even able to vote at one time. we kicked some ass, we can vote now, and I think that we'll have a female president in the next 10-20 years. besides that, we're treated with the same respect as men, at least, to an extent, because some women are still treated as if its the 1700s or something..

lol...i think boobs are really besides the point.. haha some men have real solid chests buldges to u knkow.. haha

1. Here in Singapore, it is not compulsory for girls to serve 2 years of National Service!! i.e. Army, Navy, Air Force, Civil Defence... woooohooooo!! major reasoning y being a girl is AWESOME!

2. Its advantages at times (i'm sure u gals know what i mean... *wink*) getting your way, and getting out of tough situations.. just release your feminine charms! *ahem!*

3. Girls have loads of different clothes to choose from and loads of hairstyles!

Regarding the women treated equally as men matter... yes i agree that we've made lots of progress on the matter.. however, truth is, i think that we'll NEVER b 100% equal to men.. why? cos i would not want that actually..

i like men respecting us cos we are female...giving us due courtesy and a diff form of respect as men give to other men..

if we were 100% equal, y is it we hardly or never c women working in construction sides? manual labour etc? i personally would never want to do these kind of work.. haha which is y, sometimes, some things are really a mens job.. and y at times (not always), i really feel that we are living in a men's world...because without them to do all the dirty work, i doubt we'll b living in this much comfort as we are now..

And I know that we'll never be fully equal to men, just because of the sheer fact that we're women. You make a good point, women don't work those kind of rough, dirty type jobs just because we aren't, ahem, used to that type of work. But we kick major ass as of the work men thought we could never do...working in an office, owning law firms, teaching, things of the like. Not all women want to be stay at home moms.

But my mum prefers that job to most. ^_^

There are those moments when we live in a man's world and we have to do the dirty work. For example, WWI (or is it WWII?), when all of the men went away to serve, and we basically took over the jobs that the men did.

i dont feel it is necessary to marry just cos the girl is pregnant. y? cos either side could b unprepared and the repercussions could b worse than just being a unmarried single mum.

i think that u should not abort. i'm really against it.. however, my bf says, if the child is born and parents dont have the money or time to support a child, the child wld suffer more, therefore, abortion is a better alternative..

i dont agree cos i doubt i can live with the guilt of killin my own child 4 whatever reason. so i say keep the baby, but make sure u r fully committed to the responsibility and u keep the baby for the right reasons and its always best to have the moral support of the pple closest to u.. at least u know if times of trouble, they will help u...

raising the child along will b super difficult.. mayb if u are really alone and without the means to support a child, than u shld keep the baby....

The one case I believe its ok is if its a child created from the result of rape, which is why I came up with the next topic of how rape affects girls, and the fact that my mum was at one time a rape victim. But back to abortion and teen preggoness.

Well, the reason why I believe its ok in a rare case is rape, just because not many girls would want to have a child that's a constant reminder of being raped, y'know? Eh. That's just me. Though if they're against abortion, they can give the child up for adoption.

Besides that, most girls that arent ready for children can adopt, and ask for visits. That seems to be the next best alternative. Wee.
