Yeah seems like it will be out then or sometime late this year. Though most likely if you don't live out there you'll most likely have to wait until it comes out on dvd to get to see it. I think the japanese have advanced ways of making sure cams don't get into theatres or the people there are just more honorable, because it seems like we always have to wait for the dvd to come out.

I've seen trailers for movies that come out one to two years after they first talk about it.... And FFVII: Advent Children was in the making pretty much since FFVII came out (what I've heard from one of the game testers for the old FFs, he had the chance to go to Hironobu Sakaguchi's funeral.... But didn't have the moneys....).
Anywho, I've seen, on the trailer, December 16.... I sure hope that it's really coming out then and doesn't get delayed.

Slightly off topic: Hey guys, I didn't want to start another thread because its too early to start getting new information about this second Bleach movie that's slated to come out in Japanese theaters this winter December 22nd. It's called Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion and according to Wikipedia the story is mostly about Hitsugaya Toshiro and how he is being suspect him of treachery. Not a lot of info about it but just a heads up.

On topic: So the DVD for this movie is coming in a couple days, 7 days to be exact which is pretty exciting because I have been waiting for a while for this movie to get subbed. ;)

I really liked that movie; a fairly believable plot, a nice mix of humor, drama, and tension, and good artwork, although it was a bit of a shift from the usual Bleach.

I fully agree about it being better than Naruto, It's cool that we got to see Zaraki, Byakuya and Soyfon fight. Zaraki's bit was short and sweet lol. It had a good ending, it wasn't your regular happy ending.

Yes, Zaraki finally got a chance to remind us why he's the most kick*** captain, regardless of getting beat down by some punk ryoka only using Shikai.

So I finally sat down to watch this. Great movie I have to say, not the best ZOMG I love this movie but it does have good re-watch value and it brings me back to when Ichigo was cooler. The story was ok, kinda scetchy about the Memory Rosery and how it is connected to the Blanks. I liked Senna a lot and for someone that hasn't been a Shinigami for a while she has really nice moves and abilities. Kenpanchi freaking pWned though, best (though short) part of the movie. I felt bad for the guy he was fighting but it was fun to watch Zaraki unleashed. Byakuya left a nice little impression and Rukia is more pleasing to watch now that she has her Shinigami powers back. I give this movie 8/10.

Soifon's intro was bad. I loved the animation when she takes off the captain cloaks. Zarakis fight was the best. Rukia's first release is really fuckin good. I hope she gets bankai, it must be insane.

It was good,I have to admitt I liked it.The action was nice,Kenpachi owns as usual(especially when he scratches his ear in the captain meeting LOL)but I wanted more action from him.
Ichigo was the usuall guy that gets overpowered when he is cornered but meh he was good also.Soi fon pawned her opponent very quick...The royka had low screen time a part that I didn't liked.Urahara's tall dude FTW!!!Lol i laughed very hard eveytime he talked.I didn't like Renji,Rukia,Ukitake(low action time) and Byakuya saving Rukia(too clice).
Other than that I liked the movie is by far better than Naruto's movies.Oh yeah I liked that Ichigo almost fell in love with Senna(nice character I have to say).

For one, most of the main characters didn't even do anything. They were absent when they could have been of help and when they couldn't do anything they were there lol

I forgot to say this before but one thing that disappointed me was Captain Ukitake. Isn't he supposed to be one of the most best captains in the Gotei 13. In the episodes Ukitake and Kyoraku were gonna take on Captain Commander and he seemed extremely powerful, in the movie he didn't do anything. I don't know I am just ranting, he is one of my favorite captains but was poorly portrayed in the movie.

I see what you're saying, and I halfway agree but what can you expect? Even if it's a great anime, it's still anime, with the same stories, the same concepts and themes. The same references to japanese culture and japanese views on the world. I would love to see something from our favorites series' that doesn't do EXACTLY what we thought it would.

As to why Ichigo gets away with everything, I think Capt Commander said he respects Ichigo's strength/powers in the movie and in the anime at some point. So it's just a beneficial relationship for him to keep despite a little flack here and there.

Although maybe in the next movie (other than what's already coming out), or the next story arc Ichigo can fully become enemies with SS again. I mean wouldn't it be nice to see some people die and to see all the betrayals you thought would never happen etc.?

That would be a great movie I think. We'd see something prolly similar but Ichigo and the Vizard versus SS and some behind the scenes BA Arrancar would be awesome. Something like Ichigo looks like a complete traitor so SS and his Nakama go after him and then it turns out him and the Vizard are good guys after all.. sweeet lol

What I hope to see in the future of the plot is Aizen using Hogyoku and his zanpakuto to turn at least Rukia into a loyal Vaizard of his; otherwise, how the heck is she going to survive what's going on right now? He managed to brainwash a lieutenant level Shinigami before, he can do it again. And just imagine the looks on everyone's faces when Rukia, presumed KIA, appears leading a bunch of Arrancar during the Winter War. :D

Okay movie, was expecting more, the ichigo vs main dude part was kinda corny. He gets trapped to a tree, gets a sudden burst of energy, same 'ol. Zaraki pwnd, i loved his intro of slamming into the ground and cracking it all open, we dont see enough of zaraki. The captain-commander should have gone, he could have taken them all out.

Kenpachis entrance was classic

Overall, I enjoyed the movie.

However, I felt like the pacing and dialogue were off at several points. For example, after the fighting's done why don't we see more dialogue from other characters? I just can't imagine having Kenpachi, Byakuya, Rukia, and nearly 10 other major characters in the background on that bridge without anything being said.

And yes, Kenpachi's entrance and fight were beautiful. He's the Soul Society tank blitz. Honestly, I was a little disappointed we didn't get to see him interact entertainingly with the real world ^^

Most troubling to me, though, was the fact that the villains were so poorly fleshed out. I mean, we don't even learn any of their names! Not even the main villain! What kind of bad guy is that?

What's more, they don't have a good history that gives justification to their actions. In the Bounto arc, Kariya has a well-presented reason for the destruction of Soul Society and all his race. The bad guy in the movie, however, doesn't even have an explanation of what his clan's transgression was and how it was unjust. I mean, a territory dispute? What kind of territory dispute gets you exiled from Soul Society into the Severed World?

Finally, we don't get much from Inoue, Ishida, or Sado. That's kind of been the same thing in the series lately, though, too. I figure it has to do with the fact that you can't really advance the story through movies.

I really wish that anime series included movies in their storyline advancement. I mean, plan it out or something so that the movie comes out at a critical moment in the episode lineup!

Because they don't do that, you don't get to see any cool new moves being presented in the movies, and you don't get to see any meaningful character/plot developments. Which is one of the same reasons that people hate filler episodes. In reality, these movies are just an extra long filler episode, which is too bad.

List of stuff I liked in the movie:

1. Ichigo's determination to save Senna and lied to her that her name was on her grave so that she could rest peacefully.

2. Kenpachi making his grand entrance with his uber laugh and owned the poor soul he fought him.

3. Liked Senna's personality and her zanpakuto.

List of $hit I hated in the movie:

1. The major bad guy, Ganryu, managed to own Bankai mode Ichigo in one hit on their first encounter, but in their second encounter Ganryu somehow got weaker, fought on equal footing with Bankai mode Ichigo and soonafter lost...my jaw dropped seeing how easily he was beaten.

2. The bad guys background story was weak and barely gives any explanation on why they got banished from soul society and what drives them to destroy it along with the living world.

3. As if this hasnt been done before in many anime movies, a movie character such as Senna always seem to either die, disappear, get brainwashed, or reincarnated as another person...instead of simply having the character to part his/her own way or they happen to be some character that came from the past or future and must return to it. The Naruto Shippuden Movie 1 is a great example as Shion attempted to sacrifice herself to save the world, but Naruto went "cut the bull$hit, your gonna live" mode and saved the world with a better method...which I gave thumbs up on.

Overall, I'll give this movie a rating of 8/10.

I also liked the movie, it was well animated, the story was good, except for little parts that were mentioned by Ami-san above and i also have to agree that I hate that "good/charming/lovely" chars always have to die for the sake of the world, why don't they use a crappy char like Kon to die anyways...this made the end very sad...On top of that it was a pity that we couldn't see Ishida/Inoue/Chad but still it was one of the better anime movies I've seen.
