1) Sasuke is going to Orochimaru, who isnt even part of Akatsuki.
2) He's going to Orochimaru to get power
3) They never even mentioned Akatsuki

hello to all , im just giving my opinion on something. some ppl thinks that kabuto is the last member and i think so too. by looking at the picture the last member eyes it looks like it could be red.and i remeber in the anime series ep 36 time: about 16:45 -17:00. when kabuto and team 7 had thier last fight before entering the tower for the 3rd exam . kabuto eyes was turning red & was about to show his true form. that's when n think naruto save the day. so maybe he was just playing chicken in the sannin battles. becuase i haven't seen his eyes turn red again. what your thoughts on this ?

In a part of the anime, orochimaru had a broken hand, and on it was a ring which had the kanji symbol of "empty"

while itachi was having tea with kisame in konoha, his ring had the kanji symbol of "scarlet"

Kisame had a ring with the kanji symbol of "South"

from this people have speculated that the remainding six members have
the kanji symbols "pale blue","white","black","north",
"three(the number)" and "jade"

these words come from another arrangement of the japanse "Way of Ying Yang's nine words", which is arranged like
"pale blue dragon","white tiger","scarlet finch", "black warrior","empty chen","south star","Dubhe (north star)","three tai" and "jade woman"

so this theroy show that there are two men stronger than Itachi in akatsuki, probably not counting the leader, i doubt he has a ring, Oro is two men weeker than itachi, meaning that between itachi and oro there are two men, and oro is right above kisame, so oro is a bit stronger than kisame

I really hope I am not stepping on any toes or sounding like a complete moron, because I have yet to read the manga yet. It's just something about seeing the show animated, anyways I don't think it can be Orochimaru, because in one of the episodes Jiraya said that Orochimaru managed to leave the organization. Because of his choice of words, "Managed to leave" indicates that this person is stronger than Orochimaru. Nobody weaker than you, can stop you from doing something, correct. One more thing on an unrelated topic, does it seem that the manga is coming to an end soon, because if so that means the cartoon is also.

I don't know if you are talking about me or not, but I am definitely not trying to come off as someone being smart, I am sure since you read the manga that you have more info on Naruto than me. Based on what I have seen and heard watching the TV show leads me to believe it is NOT Orochimaru.

Finally finished the manga, but anyways even if Naruto did open up all the gates, the power of the nine tails would more than likely stop him from dying. I am not to sure, since it depends on which affects work faster, the total loss of your body more or less, or Kyuubi healing Naruto. Judging by how fast he healed the damage to Naruto's shoulder after Sasuke, punctured it, I say Kyuubi works faster, and thus preserve Naruto from dying.

All I can say is that most likely they don't have a leader and remeber in the manga we met one of the other members, we just don't know his name(the weird guy with the really big mouth coming up his body)

I dont agree.. I think they definitely have a leader coz if they didnt, I dont think an organization full of S-ranked criminals can survive for long. I dont think they can work together as a democracy - I think they're the types who has to follow some sort of power hierarchy or something so it would make sense that their leader is the acknowledged strongest among them. :)

Som1 more powerful than Oroch and Itachi...Naruto would probably have to rescue Sasuke first before he takes on that guy. Which means the real Akatsuki arc will probably not take place any time soon. Maybe its like the Ryodan from HunterxHunter, if anyone reads it. There is a leader, but the Akatsuki can operate without one.

True in everything you said except you don't see to much about the guy hiding, just his shadow and some odd form that he was in while watching the fight. He then transforms back into his human apperance. Anyways switching gears wouldn't it would be a huge plot twist is Jiraiya was the leader of the Akatasuki organization. It isn't that far off it has happened before the person teaches the hero something so that they get stronger but then try and beat them in the end. Jiraiya could hold a grudge against Naruto and the 4th.

Well it isn't really a spoiler here in the manga section since we have already seen that chapter, but it would be a spoiler in the anime section. You are very much correct that is the case, but we still don't know who the leader is.

cause that sasori (the guy crawling in 247)he was from the sand & he knows the geography or areas of the sand village hence why they attacked the village quick & easy.The leader must know the geography of the leaf village & other villages thats why akat aint bothered about anbu or other nins cause they know ways to avoid detection &can get to the places in villages quick

im not sure if theres a leader they all seem to respect how great there partner are & expect them not to fail a mission but in a crew there either a boss or a few people on the same level but we will find out soon

My theory is that the Akatsuki leader is Uchiha Madara. I know you skeptics out there are saying that Sasuke and Itachi are the only Uchihas left, but the Kyuubi said that he's encountered the Sharingan before. So the thing is Madara left before Itachi killed everyone (a wee bit before Naruto was born yet), created Akatsuki, and already tried to capture the Kyuubi. Pretty logical reasoning to me (of course it is my theory XD).
