Well in fact, that was the only exit for the editor of the serie. She is one of the three main caracteres, so she couldn't desapear right away. Plus, she is definitly not as powerfull as Sasuke and Naruto. But she's got what it take to be a good medic : concentration and a rigorous mind.
So making her the apprentice of Tsunade was the only solution to keep her alive. Plus, with all the fluss that went about how good it is to have a medic in a Ninja squad, Naruto's trio deseperatly needed one.

I think that Sakura is a bit annoying at times, with her attitude towards Sasuke, but she has a heart in the right place, when it isn't being used for comedy or drooling over sasuke, and can /just about/ handle her own when pushed in the situation (read: chuunin exam 2).

i read that part... but sakura was facing relly weak nins too and if she was vsing one of the four sounds maybe tayuya she would get wooped.....

Agh, she's too attached to Sasuke... I'm glad she realized how much she had hurt Naruto earlier in the series in episode 110-111. She deserved that well. As a plus, it probably felt like a kick in the face with a steel-toed kleate.

It's probably impossible to hope she'll also get super strong (physically) like Tsunade is coz I think Tsunade's strength is kinda, i dunno, a freak of nature - like it can't be taught to anyone else, it's within her. It's not something she learned (i think). As for Sakura, I wonder if she'll ever come close to Sasuke or Naruto in terms of power or whatever the way that Tsunade is equal to Jiraiya and Orochimaru. i mean, u all have probably noticed the parallelisms here: Naruto (Jiraiya's apprentice), Sasuke (Orochimaru's apprentice), and Sakura (Tsunade's apprentice). It's almost like they're angling to make the three genins to be the next Sannin but I dunno.. I really think Sakura's too weak to ever become Sannin material. What do you guys think? ;)

Yeah she is, she's a jounin. You guys forgot about Anko and the Anbu girl, they're strong too. I really dont like Sakura much either, she's pretty much useless. She hasnt done anything on any of the missions she's been on, and in 113 episodes we've only seen her fight twice. And one of them wasn't even in the manga.

Actually in response to all the people that say they hope Sakura gets strong like Tsuande, technically she already is at her age at least. I was watching episode 20, when the Thirds grandson accidently mistook Sakura for Naruto's girlfriend. Naruto didn't say it wasn't so Sakura got mad and knocked Naruto through a wall almost, true as of right now the times that Sakura shows her strength are at the wrong times, and they often are often comical situations, but her strength will come in time as did Tsuande. The inner Sakura seems to be a major part in her developing that part of her strength, if both Sakura's are working as one, then she will be fine. I would now like to retract my previous statement about Sakura, she is not weak. It is funny, how both of them have big foreheads as well, but Tsuande mask her's with the little symbol she has in the middle that takes your focus off the size and makes it look more porportional. It is almost comical how these little things are in the series, but you basically overlook them once or twice.

Actually that is a tough call whether Hinata would be a good healer, because we don't know how good she is at forming and molding chakra. It would appear that she would be a good healer since she has the byakugen which can see those tiny holes that chakra comes out of, but on the other hand I don't think her clan would approve of that type of work for there people. Her dad basically disowned her once he found out that her sister was stronger than her, but in the last manga chapter we see that times seem to be changing since her dad was helping Neji train, also Hinata was bringing them lemonade or something and he seemed in good spirts. I guess he wouldn't be to upset if she grew up to be as good as Tsunade, since she is the 5th.

I doubt it, I think that she'll still be thrown to the side when Naruto and Sasuke fight. And she'll just watch and scream Naruto, or Sasuke-kun every once in a while.
