I love using the shotgun at point-blank range. Especially when the parasite is wiggling around.

Yeah, though the voices are done quite well in my opinion, it's more the script that makes it weird. And yes, Ashley is a moron. Sometimes.

I think the GCube version is slightly better than PS2, even though PS2 has more features.
Yeah, amazingly the GC version was the better looking of the two, but the PS2's got the superior controller and much more content.

Well of course, games are all about fun, but often the more real it is (visually and audio...ly) the more fun it can be (ie FEAR, Resi4, Doom 3).

I haven't played F.E.A.R. yet, but my dad's comp can more than handle it. I just need to get it. <.<
And DOOM 3 is ok. I was never a fan of the DOOM series. Especially after the movie... That movie sucked big time... -_-
DOOM 3 is still the scariest game I've played, and FEAR is amazing, first time I played it was on a Dell XPS hooked up via DVI to my friend's TV, which is similar to mine, but 6" larger.

DOOM 3 was even scary with my friend Andrew in the room, we both freaked out when that Imp burst through those stairs near the beginning, he was playing at the time and just flailed his arms wildly while holding the trigger, he managed to kill it. Somehow.

Lol I remember my dad doing something along those lines. I freaked when I got hit from behind by a zombie. I quickly turned around and unloaded the pistol in it's general direction. I think I hit it twice. :p

My dad got five speakers right before he got Quake IV. He moved the speakers so it was nearly surround. Quake IV pwns. o_o
There's some nice surround sound PC speakers at my place of employment, but it would feel like a waste if I have a big TV to play games on with a digital surround sound system (hooray Optical Digital output on my on-board sound card).

Quake IV has a story and stuff. It's like DOOM, only more action packed and action oriented. It's also really violent. :D

Just like Gears of War. Good thing about Gears of War (among many other things) is that the bodies don't disappear until a long time afterwards.

Takes the "realism" out of everything. :/
My friend got the delux version of Gears of War and got this awesome booklet about the cool features and concept art. One really cool thing is that the developers made individual internal systems for each character. If you shoot a guys chest cavity when they're dead, it pops off (sorta) and you can see the ribs and all those other parts. It's also fun to shoot the very top of the guys' head and you can see their brain! >=D
