Yeah but you also know that Gaara has changed and doesn't use shukaku in a battle anymore.
He only uses his control sand ability.

Im not so sure about in the manga, yes we have seen gaara but keep in mind that we still have not seen how powerfull sasuke is now in the manga so I will not say untill I see sasuke, but in the anime i think gaara would win.

Honestly one of the matches that i dont know what would happen...but i woould think that gaara has more chance. i mean wen sasuke fought Gaara in the Chuunin exam he was level one already and he was too tired...second level is im sure wayyy much stronger but still....i mean gaara is STRONG. he was just a little....disturbed

Gaara would still have the upperhand. IN the past episodes, gaara was viewed as someone disturbed. hopefully, that doesnt happen now.

Well, if Sasuke has become more like Rock Lee in the mean time, concerning speed and power, combined with his Chidori, he does have a big chance of defeating Gaara...Sadly...:(...But I still believe that Gaara would win. Gaara would win (even without Shusaku, plus, Gaara isn't the way he was back then. He's learned to be happy, and he's loved by his siblings). Gaara has much more experience. Sasuke's mind is all about power, drown in his own stupidity.

Well, I'd have to say it's more of a difficult decision than some people are letting on. Gaara definitely has Shukaku, whom is more large and more powerful than Sasuke. But Sasuke's speed and taijutsu matches that of Rock Lee. (Before he opens the gates, ofcourse.) Combine that with the Chidori, he could definitely smash that thing into Shukaku's body, and it wouldn't tickle. Sasuke's knowledge of ninjutsu and genjutsu, I believe is more enhanced than Gaara as well. But, Gaara has the sand, which was able to keep up with Rock Lee before he opened his gates. So I don't know. Judging by the sheer fact that Gaara has Shukaku, I'd have to go with Gaara winning that fight.
