CHRNO CRUSADE

http://hinainn4.free.fr/anime/chrnocrusade.jpg

Info (By AnimeNFO) :
The story takes place in the year 1920 in the United States of America. Paid to exterminate demons, Chrno and Sister Rosette are professional exorcists from the Magdala Monastery. They travel between various places to prevent demons from taking possession and haunting various things that come from outside the U.S.A.

One day, Rosette was given the orders to investigate a "demon master" known as Ricardo who was a wealthy American. Infiltrating the hotels that Ricardo possessed, they meet a young girl named Asmaria who was captured by him. She had a special power that allowed her to get near gods using her singing. As her power got discovered, it meant people around her always felt uncomfortable. And so, she was always alone.

Seeing how Asmaria was giving up because of her fate, Rosette reassures her and says, "If you give it all you've got, you'll be able to change anything for sure." Their battles were extremely fierce but, thanks to Asmaria's help, they manage to beat the treachery that stood before them.

Thinking that they'll have peaceful days again now that Asmaria's case was solved, some important information comes in. The enemy who was sending out the demons is Joshua. Joshua was the name of Rosette's younger brother who she was seperated from at birth. In the orphanage where they were brought up, they were well known for how well they got along. Just like twin brother and sister.

But, as Joshua has a power that makes him act as an agent for god, he was also feared by those around him. He longs to go against Rosette for the great power she possessed... And so, Joshua entrusts himself to the great demon Ion and disappears right before Rosette's eyes. Later, he appears once again to confront them at the monastery. In order to rescue Joshua, Rosette sets off on a journey together with Chrno and Asmaria.

On their journey, as the Rosette party exterminate demons as pros to earn money, they meet Stella. Thinking that Chrno may have been the demon who murdered his parents, she approaches them. However, he finds out that Chrno hadn't done anything like that in the past and so, she goes along with them (against her own will?) so that she could gather information on the demon she's after.

During that time, the assasins that Ion sent out found them. Being seperated from her friends, Rosette must fight alone. She bearly wins the battle but, in the end, she continues her journey without obtaining any clues linked to Ion...

BASTARD (My Personal Favorite, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!)

http://www.theanimereview.com/screenshots/bastard.jpg

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
Our story begins in a far future where the world has been through an apocalypse that spawned all sorts of strange and evil creatures, leaving human beings in a precarious position. Things have gone back to a feudal era where sorcery, sword fighting, and armor plating rule the day. Four warlords of chaos get together to break the seals that hold back a creature of ultimate darkness, and as the viewer knows, this can't be good. At the same time...Yoko is best friends with Rushe, a little boy who follows her everywhere. Little does she know that buried deep within Rushe is a secret weapon, the wizard known as Dark Schneider. When the warlords' plans come to the attention of the free world, there's a realization that Dark Schneider is the only hope of defeating the threat.

There's only one problem. Dark Schneider is a freak.

Nevertheless, when your kingdom is under fire from the most powerful magic known to man, you resurrect whomever you can. With Yoko's kiss, Rushe becomes the legendary Dark Schneider. Now he's not really happy about the arrangement, since he was essentially imprisoned for a very long time. Eventually, he figures, why not? He'd love to prove that he's still the most powerful being on Earth, and if that takes defeating some of his old comrades in arms, so be it. As long as he can get his groove on, he's happy...but is a rusty white-haired jerk of a warlock going to be able to handle the job?

LOVE HINA

http://www.theanimereview.com/screenshots/lovehina.jpg

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
Keitaro Urashima has been following a dream for close to twenty years. Back when he was a young child, his best friend and playmate moved away, but not before she promised to meet her soulmate at Tokyo University one day. As the show starts, Keitaro's a ronin, having failed the insanely difficult entrance exams and trying desperately to study hard enough to pass on his second (or third, or fourth) try. Trying to find a local place to stay, he goes to his grandmother's lodge, the Hinata Inn, only to find out in a most...um..."revealing" fashion that it's been turned into an all-girls dormitory.

All the girls start pummeling him, particularly Naru Narusegawa, a senior just about ready to try the Tokyo U exams herself. As fortune would have it, Keitaro's grandmother leaves town and makes Keitaro into the inn's manager. The girls are aghast, but none of them decides to leave. As the show continues, we see Keitaro and Naru start to grow closer, despite her insistence that he is a lecherous lout with no redeeming qualities and his predilection for getting into misunderstandings that reinforce her point of view. Add two cups of sugar, a half cup of spice, and a quart of rum, and you have LOVE HINA.

SABER MARIONETTE J

http://www.theanimereview.com/screenshots/saber.jpg

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
In another place and time, a spaceship of human colonists is destroyed, and only six men survive the crash landing on a planet they name Terra II. Forced to clone themselves rather than face extinction, they populate this planet over an expanse of time, though they lack the ability to create an actual female. As our show begins, we are introduced to Otaru, a young man who's made a living selling wares in the country of Japoness, scraping up just enough money to get by. An honest, friendly guy, he's often picked on by Hanagata, a rich snob who happens to have his eye on Otaru for a best friend (cough, AHEM, cough). Otaru's life changes dramatically, however, when he accidentally activates a special marionette named Lime. Marionettes are not uncommon--they look like women and are used by the rich to do chores and other subservient tasks--but Lime is special. For one, she acts almost human, showing emotion and interest in life itself, which simply isn't supposed to exist in a marionette's programming. Second, Lime imprints on Otaru and decides to make it her prime task to love and defend him. As the story progresses, we start to see some sort of strange relationship developing between them. If that wasn't enough, there's a nearby country whose fuehrer, Faust, is plotting a grand scheme to take over Japoness from the shogun. Otaru and his growing group of friends get messed up in the intrigues that follow from foiling that plan.

TRIGUN (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!)

http://www.theanimereview.com/screenshots/trigun.jpg

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
Vash the Stampede: a gunslinger considered so dangerous that there is a $60 million bounty on his head. Such things aren't taken lightly in the "John Wayne meets the friendly post-apocalypse" universe of TRIGUN, and there are hundreds, if not thousands of bounty hunters more than willing to cash in. There are only a couple of problems: first, no one's quite sure what Vash is supposed to look like, so plenty of fakes claim his identity in order to strike fear in the hearts of their enemies. Second, there's the slight problem the real Vash has--he's a complete idiot! How he has stayed alive for as long as he has is unbelievable, but it's no matter. As the events in the first volume of TRIGUN unfold, we follow the incredible life of Vash as he wriggles his way out of countless situations through his utter incompetence. There are two young women he runs into frequently--Meryl and Milly--whose job is to track him down for their insurance company, since they pay out countless claims for the damage left in his wake. Meryl can't believe that such a moron could actually be such a legend, though, and so their quest continues. As they wander, they find out that Vash may be crazy, but ultimately he's a good man whose only real sin is to be in the middle of so much lunacy!

VARIABLE GEO (18+ BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! TOO BAD IT'S A SHORT SERIES)

http://www.theanimereview.com/screenshots/variablegeo.jpg

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
In our 3-part OVA, Variable Geo is a contest between waitresses across Japan who take their martial arts skills to the limits. Arenas are virtually everywhere, from Olympic-style stadiums to boxing rings that, when activated, rise out of busy traffic intersections. There's a big catch to the competition, though: the final winner gets real estate and cash prizes. The losers along the way have to strip naked in front of millions of home viewers. Either way, the audience is happy, right?

Into this world enters Yuka, an, um...bouncy server who would love to help her shop owner by winning the competition and getting some prime real estate to get out of the hovel they currently work in. Her best friend, Satomi, isn't in the competition, but she has helped Yuka train to get to the top. And things appear to be OK...that is, until Satomi's little brother winds up in the hospital again. While Yuka is busy making sure she's not the one having to doff her clothes on national television, Satomi is getting drawn into the dark commercial syndicate who runs Variable Geo. The corporation promises to take care of Satomi's medical bills for her brother, but at a price...and her choice will put her in direct competition with her best friend. DETECTIVE CONAN

http://www.abcb.com/conan/con_0000.jpg

Anime Info: (From Animecafe)
Kudou Shinichi was a bit of an odd-ball high school student who loved mysteries and acting as a high school detective; much like the Hardy boys if you will. He loved Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and indeed like Sherlock Holmes, pursued soccer as a means of relaxation; as Holmes did with fencing. (Unlike Holmes however, Shinichi is rather tone deaf). Unfortunately, as his fame grew, so did his enemies, until when out on a date with a good female friend (but not yet actually going steady with), he crossed paths with the "Men in Black" (the Kurozukume). Clearly, these people had much to hide and so, the great high school detective decided to follow them and investigate.

While spying on the Kurozukume, he failed to notice one more henchman in hiding, and as a result was apprehended. Not having much time to deal with the interloping Kudou, the Kurozukume decided to feed him the poison APTX (apo-toxin) 4869. This toxin ended up changing Shinichi's body, reducing his body back to that of an elementary school child. Because of his greatly changed appearance, and in order to protect those whom he cared for, Kudou Shinichi was forced to change his identity to Edogawa Conan; Conan in honor of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author and creator of Sherlock Holmes.

With the appearance of a six year old, Conan can no longer live on his own in his house and as such is staying with his (Kudou's) girlfriend, who is unaware of his true identity, and her detective father. Few people know Conan's secret, for if those who had wreaked the change on Shinichi ever found out that he was still alive, they would return and try to finish the job. Likewise, they would not hesitate to harm Shinichi's loved ones either.

However, while few and far between, Conan has a few friends in the know including: Agasa Hiroshi, a scientist who helps Conan by making him new gadgets, and also by helping create Conan's new identity, Hattori Heiji - a rival high school detective, and Haibara Ai - one of the members of the Kurozukume who, in order to escape from the gang was also forced to take APTX 4869. Ai's older sister was also a member of the kurozukume however, she was killed by her fellow henchmen when she refused to hand over a large sum of money which had been stolen in a previous heist.

Beet the Vadel Buster ( also Boken Oh Beet)

It was a dark century; people were suffering from the devil, “Vandel”, who manipulated monsters.
The Vandel Busters were those who hunted the devils. There was a boy who had a dream to join Zenon Squad that was known as the strongest busters on the continent. His name was Beet. One day, because of Beat’s fault, Zenon squad was defeated by the devil, Beltose. The five dying busters put their life power into their five weapons, Saiga. They gave the weapons to Beat, then they passed away.
Years had passed since then, a young Vandel Buster, Beat, began his adventure to carry out the Zenon’s will to put an end on the dark century.

Well, I have done several reviews for my own website. And, they're fairly long, but good. So, I'll just put down direct links to four of the ones that I did personally.

Um, they are under the name Hiryuu Megami, but that is because it is another name that others know me by elsewhere. But I did do them...I have the files for those who want proof.

Bakuretsu Tenshi (http://rmlreviewarchives.atspace.com/bakuretsu.html)

Inuyasha Movie 1: Love That Transcends Time (http://rmlreviewarchives.atspace.com/inumovie1.html)

Inuyasha Movie 2: Castle Beyond the Looking Glass (http://rmlreviewarchives.atspace.com/inumovie2.html)

Inuyasha Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler (http://rmlreviewarchives.atspace.com/inumovie3.html)

******************

Okay, I just made sure that all of those links work, and they should still. If anyone should have any troubles with any of the links, let me know through a PM or something and I'll make sure to fix them.

I would post them all in one post normally, but they're a bit too big and would entail me having to quadruple post since I couldn't make up my mind on which ones I wanted to put up here....

XXX Holic By: CLAMP

Before I give info, I think you should know that "XXX Holic" crosses over with "Tsubasa". Though it is not nessacary to read both, you will get the same events from diffrent perspectives.

MANGA INFO: The story starts off with a young boy named "Kimihiro watanuki" (Meaning April 1st) being followed and smmutherd by some odd creatures. In an attempt to escape these creaters Watanuki Accedently touches a fence and the monsters are dispelled. After touching the fence, Watanuki's legs start to drag him into the starnge house that lies behond the fence. When entering the strange house he is greeted by two girl name maru and moro.(One could translate their names into "Flash and streak".) After entering the house, Maru and Moro take Watanuki to the "Mistress", who is first shown as a beautiful young woman smokeing on a coach. When watanuki tries to explain that he did not mean to barge in, the mistress tells him it was a hitsuzen.after Watanuki telles the mistress (Now named Yuko) his Name and birthday (April 1st) she tells him that she knows that he is troubled by spirits. Yuko tell Watanuki she is the ownerof a shop the grants wishes, and that she will get rid of Watanuki's sixth sense, but the frice will be great. Watanuki agrees to this and is to work for Yuko until his bill has been payed.

The story includes many cameos such as Watanuki going to get Eki-Kabe and meeting the two main characters from leagal drug, another CLAMP manga. It also includes the mokona from "Mage night rebirth",a replica of the wand sakura first uses in CCS and refrences tomany of CLAMP's manga. The art is beautiful and the story can be hillarious. The only down side to this manga is that Both Watanuki and Yuko look like characters from CCS ( Watanuki looks like one reincarnation of clow reed and Yuko looks like "Ruby").

666 Satan(satan 666) by Seishi Kisimoto

You did not hear wrong, seishi is actually Masashi's younger twin brother. They're comic styles are pretty similar, since they grw up together they drew together. The comic is not yet out in English, but they do have some transalted chapters online.
The story is about a boy name Jio who's actaully part devil. He ends up meeting a girl 'Ruby' who continues the work of her father. The OPT, a group of baddies are out to collect all of the 0-parts. Each o-part has it's own special ability, and can be in good use when you put power into it, almost like chakara. They fight guys with water blasters,an excessive tongue ring opt, and he even makes a new friend.
I'd give the comic a 8/10 just because of th art and the amazing detail in the pictures. The story isn't too original, but the characters are memorable. It's great to see seishi isn't afraid to release a new comic that has a similar art style to Naruto. This is definately a comic to check out if you like Naruto n_n

i just started watching a series called Trinity Blood. it is similar to hellsing in that it is centered around a vampire (he calls himself a crusnik, a vampire who drinks the blood of other vampires) who fights for the humans against other vampires. the differences are that it is set in a post armageddon world in which vampires and humans struggle with each other for power. The vampire nation is called the empire, while the humans are ruled by the vatican (yes the church). our hero (the crusnik) is a travelling priest. i highly recommend this. it has good action, an interesting story, and it continually keeps you guessing. This is a pretty serious anime and i have not seen any comedie in it what-so-ever. think of it like bleach - kon = not funny but still badass.

The Prince Of Tennis

This is a review for both manga and the anime. Also, a note to that the anime has ended while the manga has not.

Ryoma Echizen, a 7th grader going out for his schools tennis team. His dad, Najiro (Sp) Echizen was one of the best tennis players ever. But he had a low profile. For a month, he played. But an accident kept him from going farther. Now, his son having the same coach, goes out to be a starter on the tennis team. And if he makes it, who knows what will become of this kid.

I highly recommend this series, even if you don't like tennis. It is just so addictive, and the characters all are different. The chapters aren't always a tennis match. I have a first chapter on my computer, so PM me if you want it.

All About Naruto - What It's All About
Twelve years before the start of the series, a Kyuubi (nine-tailed fox demon) attacked the Hidden Leaf Village. A swing of one of it's mighty tails could raise tsunamis and flatten mountains, chaos reigned throughout the village as it killed many people, until the leader of the Leaf, the Fourth Hokage, defeated it by sacrificing his own life to seal the demon inside a new born child, that child is Uzumaki Naruto. The Fourth Hokage would forever be celebrated as a hero for sealing the Kyuubi and saving the entire village. It was his wish that Naruto would also be respected in the same way he would be, however, this was not the case. Everybody in the village avoided Naruto, regarding him as nothing more than the evil demon fox. The Third Hokage made it a rule within the village that other villagers were forbidden from mentioning this event to anyone, even their own children, however because of the way their parents treated Naruto, they mistreated him as well throughout most of his childhood.

As a result of this Naruto grew up as a lonesome orphan, without friends, family, or acknowledgement of any sort. Nobody would pay any attention to him, so he sought attention in the only way he knew how, through pranks and mischief. However, Naruto's behaviour would come to change after graduating from the Ninja Academy by learning the technique of the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu to save his sensei Umino Iruka from certain death. Naruto learnt two things that day, that the Kyuubi was contained inside him, and that there was someone who cared about him, and understood how he felt. His graduation would become a changing moment and define his world for the rest of his life.

I just got done with the anime series Fate/Stay Night. The show was itself had an interesting plot, 7 fighters brought together to do battle and the victor will receive wishes from the Holy Grail. It didn't seem slow and didn't have many,if no fillers at all( a couple toward the end). But the second season opening song was a bit annoying.

This is an anime that i am currently hooken on...

Ghost Hunt

Taken From Anime News Network:

Genres: Comedy, Drama, Horror, Mystery, Psychological, Supernatural

Plot Summary: Telling ghost stories is a favorite past time of Mai Taniyama and her friends--that is, until she meets 17 year-old Kazuya Shibuya, the man sent by Shibuya Psychic Research Center to investigate paranormal activity at a supposedly haunted school. When Mai gets caught in a dangerous situation, she is rescued by Kazuya's assistant. Saving her lands the assistant incapacitated, and Kazuya demands that Mai become his assistant, instead...

My Opinion:
This anime is one of the best animes that i have watched... the mystery and intrigue is awesome... dont b worried that it is very scary... its bearable... and when u get into it, you'll even sit thru the scary parts without hesitation. Watch it! its really one of the best anime i've seen.

Uh, I hope this isn't reviving a dead thread. The idea shouldn't be wasted. Anyways:

Dokuro-chan: Fuckin' hilarious, but too short (only eight episodes). Basically it's about an angel from the future protecting Sakura, a boy who would later invent a way of eternal youth by accident and is now the target for other angels from the future for a) treading on God's territory and b) creating a pedophile's dream world. A silly anime, I recommend it to anyone who likes comedy mixed with blood. Four our of five stars.

Finished watching "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" today, and it's an awesome series, but the last two episodes stretch a little bit, but it all ends satisfactorily. So yeah, it's mainly about a boy named Keichi Maebara who moves to the remote town of Hinamizawa, which has a dark past (go figure). He meets up with four girls, Rena Ryuuguu, Mion Sonozaki, Rika Fuurude, and Satoko something or other. Hinamizawa has a traditional fair called "Watanagashi" where people pay tribute to the Shrine God and have their sins purged. However, for the last four years a murder and a disappearance has occurred, leading people to believe in the Shrine God's curse. Keichi decides to investigate, blah blah blah, go watch it. Full of twists, turns, and lots of blood and violence. Four and a half stars out of five.

If you like ninja anime (which would make sense if you like Naruto) then you may enjoy Basilisk.

24 episode anime. Animation is well done IMHO.

Genres: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Romance, Shounen, Supernatural
Age rating: Mature (May contain sex, drugs, and extreme graphic violence)
Plot Summary: The year is 1614 AD. Two warring ninja clans, each supporting a son of Hidetada Tokugawa as the next shogun, send ten representatives each to fight to the death for the possession of a scroll. The prize: the annihilation of the other and the staunch support of the Tokugawa government for the winning clan for the next thousand years.

This one is a bit strange, but I rather enjoyed it. If you watch Track-shun it's in episode 24.

13 episodes, Well done animation IMHO.

Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Mystery, Psychological, Supernatural
Age rating: Older Children (May contain mild bad language, bloodless violence)
Plot Summary:
A dream of falling from the sky...and then birth. Rakka is born from a large cocoon into the Old Home, greeted by a group of females with small wings on their backs and shining halos above their heads. Soon Rakka’s own wings grow, a halo is placed on her head and she is told that she must work in the nearby town of Grie. She soon realizes that the town and the entire world they live in are confined behind the Wall, a tall, impenetrable wall that none except the mysterious Toga are allowed to exit.
Rakka, a newly born Haibane (Angel) awakens into an unfamiliar world with only a strange dream of falling from the sky as her only memory. Alone and scared of who and what she is, she is cared for by fellow Haibane as they try and search for the meaning of their existence as well as what lies beyond their town's imprisoning walls.

Not action packed for sure, but I loved the story-line and concept. One of my favorites.

26 episodes, and yet again very well done animation (IMHO)

Genres: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Psychological, Supernatural
Plot Summary: They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi". In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances which may be related to the "Mushi".

Pretty long at 45 episodes but the world the anime takes place in is very complex and interesting. I thought it was definitely worth the watch, but you have to be looking for a story to get into, not just a quick action flick.

Genres: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Psychological
Plot Summary: Yoko Nakajima, an unhappy high school student, is one day suddenly faced with a strange man who swears allegiance to her. After a battle with demon-like beasts, he then takes her to another world along with two of her classmates. There, her appearance has changed and she can understand the language even though her classmates cannot. But their status as "Kaikyaku" (people who come from Earth) makes them hunted fugitives, so they wander the land of the 12 countries, simply trying to survive and to figure out the reason why they were brought to this world.

Why hasn't Gantz been mentioned here?

Gantz, for those of you who do not know what it is, is a manga R rated to the core. Please, do not read the manga if you are under the age of 15. The author writes amazingly, he keeps things insane enough to be considered a sci-fi thriller, but then the character's actions always hit so close to the reader that the revulsion you feel on screen is reflected on yourself. Even though the story is fantastical, you never stop questioning "what would I do in a situation like that" and you will always surprise yourself with the answer. It really makes you face your worst.

There is an incredible amount of violence, rape, nudity, perversion, blood, and amorality in the atmosphere. Take this to heart, it WILL revulse you. Well, hopefully anyway. Its not really about the maturity level, its about how much punishment you can take from the vapid world Gantz puts you in. But I never felt that the mangaka was doing stupid scenes to make ecchi postures, its never innocent. There is an incredible sense of danger here, and you will rarely find it in any other manga.

So anyway, not a manga that will interest the mainstream, but fascinating.

My review on D.Gray-Man

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f4/Color_007.jpg

Episodes - 73 ongoing.
Manga - 151 ongoing
Age - PG-13
Genre - Action, Comedy, Adventure, Horror, Gothic fiction, Steampunk, Violence
Summary - The story of D.Gray-man takes place on a fictional Earth at the end of the 19th century. The plot mostly centers around Allen Walker, a young boy who is a member of The Black Order; a secretive organization whose members are known as Exorcists. The Order's primary mission is to stop The Millennium Earl, an ancient being who intends to 'cleanse' the world by destroying all life on it.

Exorcists are specially chosen humans who are gifted with the ability to control and use Innocence, a divine substance created in ages past to combat the Earl. According to the Order's history, at the end of The Great Flood, 109 fragments of Innocence were scattered around the world. Once an Innocence fragment is matched to its compatible user, it can become a weapon or tool for the user to wield in the battle against the Earl.
My opinion - The series is a very, very underrated one. The animation and art a brilliant, the pacing is great and the overall series if fantastic, sure, it has like...ten filler episodes, but they are a mini arc that doesn't need watching.
Rating - 9

a new show that just came out that I'd recommend is Vampire Knight. obviously it's about vampires but the rules for vampires are quite different than normal. i'm not going to explain it very much but i read the manga which is on chapter 39 and it's really getting good now. the anime just started on april 7th so there are only 3 episodes that you can watch on veoh.com. the show just started but based on the manga i'd highly recommend watching this.

other shows to watch

Bleach
Full Metal Alchemist (greatness although the manga is better)
Great Teacher Onizuka (hilarious)
Samurai Champaloo (even better than Cowboy Bebop in my opinion)
Trinity Blood (even though it's short and open ended)
Blood + (if you hadn't noticed i like vampires)
Ghost in the Shell
Ergo Proxy
Ouran High School Host Club (very funny in my opinion)
Death Note

Bleach - Up to latest chapter
Full Metal Alchemist - Up to latest chapter and finished anime.
Great Teacher Onizuka - Not seen it.
Samurai Champaloo Finished anime.
Trinity Blood - Finished anime
Blood + - One of the best animes I've watched
Ghost in the Shell - Saw the first season, second sucked
Ergo Proxy - Seen it
Ouran High School Host Club - On episode 4
Death Note - Seen it a long time ago

Heres Animes/mangas I reccomend -
Higurashi No Naku Koro ni - Horror anime, ALOT of blood.
Tengen Toppa - Mecha/Awesome Anime.
Darker than Black - AWESOME horror anime.
Basilisk - Basically an R-rated version of Naruto. 24 episodes long.
Busou Renkin - Its basically a Bleach + FMA combo. The ending made me cry.

Theres much more but I cant seem to think of them right now. I'll edit later if I remember.

Hey... I was wondering if anyone read the manga for Dragon Quest: Dai No Daiboken...it's seems very very interesting n it must be pretty popular as Dragon Quest also the name of one of the most popular RPG's out there both here n in Japan and is done by square enix(it's actually more popular than final fantasy in japan). I love the new manga's I've found!!!

Reservoir Tsubasa Chronicles - A new Cardcaptor story, still all the magic, but unfortunately no Clow Cards as the basis. By the newest chapters you figure out something verry important, something I feel I must explain...SPOILER!

Other than that the series is amazing with some verrry captivating characters and a fairly intricate, growing/evolving plot line. If you like magic, you'll like this series.

Next up is Vagabond - by far my new favorite. If you liked Kenshin this almost surpasses it in a different way, since Takezo or Musashi as he is later known has basically a temperament that is bloodthirsty like Saitoh no Okami (Saitoh the wolf), but with the drive to get better that I loved about Sano, but as if to top it all off, the skills and inborn talent of my beloved Hitokiri Battousai (Battousai the manslayer). It's a realistic setting, with very few fantastical fighting, but nonetheless incredible action. Real, historical, intense, awesome.

Double arts - appeals to that Final Fantasy fan in me, it's relatively new to me since it doesn't have that many chapters, but what I have seen is neat character/art style with interesting story. A disease called Troy or Troi has ravaged the world for almost 100-200 years, women known as sisters, basically nuns devoted to healing are born with the ability to treat the disease but not eradicate it. A boy is found that has strange powers, one in particular is that he's immune to troy, being that special boy, he's on a journey to the sister's headquarters to possibly cure the most deadly and prevalent disease ever known. But on the way a group of assassins, opposite the sisterhood, wants to stop him, what are they're motives? What are they're strange powers? Just how much stronger can he get? It's pretty sweet, no lie.

Kurohime - A young kid who gets the hottest, strongest magician in the world to fall in love with him. She's determined to take on the "gods" who lord over the human race, with her hotness, and her crazy cool magical skills, she'll summon dragons, wolves, anything that's in her sights to protect the one she loves. But there's layer after layer of secrets with Kurohime, can Zero use his super fast gun drawing skills to protect her long enough to find the truth of her past? Magic, hot chicks, and gun fighting, what else do you need?

Gokusen - a different appeal, it's about a Yakuza princess who wants to be a school teacher, she goes through a lot of random adventures all the while protecting the secret that she's the heir to a very influential Yakuza gang. She's just a girl, who wants to be a teacher, too bad she can't just have a normal life. Funny, and fairly interesting, not all that deep, but I've got like four others that take on a lot of angst, why not take a break for one that is funny and pretty light hearted.

Vampire Knight - I finished this one way too quickly, it was awesome, although my only complaint is not always being able to tell who's who because of the art style. But the story is top notch, and the main characters are so interesting, layer after layer of emotional scars. Similar to Tsubasa Chronicles but without having to introduce so many new characters and adventures, it's got a story that unravels itself to reveal something you didn't even expect. Emotional, captivating, powerful.

Pretty young manga (considering One Manga releases) 8 chapters so far. So far it seems like a HunterxHunter rip-off (mineas~hunters, minea organization~hunter organization, minea test~hunter test, and simliar father shit, main charaters have their similarities), so if somebody is pissed about the hiatus maybe this could settle his/her nerves. It's not that bad, considering....

In a world where rare metals drive the economy, "Minea", the people who seek out these metals at the risk of their own life, are highly respected. A strange boy called Ruka has wandered destructively into the failing town of Elza, declaring that his goal is to be a Minea! He ends up under the surveillance of a village girl, Shella, whose little brother is sick from a poison gas accident in the town's now-closed mine. But there may be more to this situation than meets the eye! Will Ruka be able to help his new friends, and maybe one day become a legendary Minea?

Shaman King any good, Amidamaru looks like he can be a Badass.

I finished the manga a couple of weeks ago. It's pretty good, I'd recommend to read.

A new manga series, Shaman King: Flowers, will also start in April. It's a direct sequel to the previous though I won't tell you details because it might spoil some things for you.

People should check out Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (http://www.mangareader.net/magi). I already wrote a brief review (http://www.fandom.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2101985&postcount=78) on this in a different thread if you'd like to check it out.

At first glance it may seem rather odd for a Japanese manga considering the world build is based off of 1001 Arabian Nights however it works in so many ways. The story has just begun so there's only so much I could say without spoiling major plot lines. This manga touches on subjects such as slavery, prostitution, government corruption, friendships & betrayal all the while adding the shonen element of great action & humor with a touch of rpg style dungeon exploration. Seriously guys consider giving this manga a chance this manga is still fresh & can only get better.

& for those still not convinced here are some spoilers from the current arc.

Psycho Pass(completed hinted at possible 2nd season)
Gargantia on the Verdudrous planet (Ongoing)
Hataraku Maou-sama! (ongoing)

let me know what u think....

Very thrilling and wonderfully animated all of them...Hataraku Maou Sama is beyond hilarious..probably the funniest anime next to Desert Punk lol
