who should be the next 3 captains?

Of course ichigo would be one, but i also think renji and maybe the one pink bubble haired girl cant remmember her name right now.

I think Ichigo, Ikkaku and Renji are good candidates to be the new captains. Matsumoto is proving herself as well to be a good captain as of recent. Im not sure if I missed something or not but when did they mention they were going to start looking for replacements for Tousen, Aizen and Gin?

yes ichigo should be one ikakku wow if you don't chose him commander is lost.

Well, logically Ichigo, Ikkaku and Renji should be the three as they've obtained their Bankai release. Ichigo's just an representative (not exactly a true Shinigami) as he doesn't know the techniques and rules of Soul Society. Ikkaku wouldn't be a captain because he'll lose his interaction with Kenpachi which is highly important to him and Renji still needs many more years to master his Bankai (as a matter of fact, all of them do).

I think ichi, renji and ikkaku are the best three avalible being that they know there bankai forms, but did you know that by using that method or whatever they would have to show there bankai to 200-500 squad members.I read that on wikipedia, also ichi should already be a captian because he deafeated kenpachi.

Ikkaku, Renji & Kon-sama

At some point Renji will be ready to break out from under the shadow of Byakuya and be a captain. I think in the future he could be a great captain. Ikkaku not so much because he likes being a grunt for Kenpachi too much. He even said himself he wants to "live" and "die" under Kenpachi's command. If Rukia had Bankai I would say her since she's so devoted to SS. At this point the rightly haven't put anyone in those spots since there is a certain attitude about a captain. And I think they've made Toshiro Taicho kind of weak looking but in the beginning he was highly intelligent, commanded a lot of respect and was STRONG. Now I still like him just as much but I think they've definitely knocked him down a few notches.

Since we're just picking out three ppl we think should be captains I would say Renji and Rukia and Komomoura's Vice Captain should be the next picks.

*edit: lol they could always readmit Urahara-sama, Isshin-sama and Yourichi-sama. Techinically speaking they would be great!*

Well most likely the most suitable vice captains will rise up just as flashbacks have shown them.
1. Aizen was shown as vice captain.
2. So was the fox guy and Tousen.

So considering the only known facts and the three ways they can become captain, the most potential canditates may include: Renji, Pink Haired Girl, NOT IKKAKU, Matsumoto?. Those are the only main characters that are vice captain, the rest are sort of backgroundish.

Who knows, they might even introduce one or two new characters into the show as captains. Another genius like Hitsugaiya(cant spell name)
