View Full Version : Bleach gone downhill?

Now, I've seen every episode of Bleach and am up to date with all the manga chapters... and is it just me, or has the series gone seriously downhill lately?
Most of the Hueco Mundo arc fights have had almost no plot to them, with almost nothing happening in each chapter besides random mindless fighting interlaced with the odd smug comment from either side. The fight seem to have taken center stage and the plot seems to have been almost completely neglected.
The recent Ichigo/ Grimmjow fight just ticked me off so much, it just wouldn't end. >_>
These problems with the manga recently are going to spell big trouble for the anime, too; Recent chapters of Bleach, accurately adapted, would probably make about 3-5 minutes of anime footage per chapter. Meaning the anime would be going through 4-5 chapters per episode. Meaning they'll just need more and more filler to stay behind the manga. =/

Well, I have no problem with the pace of the Bleach anime and manga. Imo, the manga's pretty decent as I'm getting what I want which is a fair amount of fighting and more interesting facts on the characters. Imo, the plot behind the Hueco Mundo arc is basically retrieving Inoue and defeating Aizen & co. (I can't see nothing more important than that). Well, after the fillers end, I know I'll really enjoy the episodes again as they'll move at a fair pace with the storyline. I don't mind at little bit of filler with episodes as long as they're very interesting and relevant to the story.

Well more would be if the Hollow in Ichigo still tries to take him over and his mask's continuing getting less white and more color could also be something us readers would like to know more of.
Personally I think both the Manga and Anime are doing great. Maybe Bleach just isn't a series for you interest anymore Mahzes?

I do agree with the fights being one after another. They are still good fights though. I believe that this is just the staging arc to lead up to the big fights and parts that are going to be really important.

I couldn't agree more. I am so sick and tired of dealing with Ichigo, Sado, Ishida, Orihime, and Rukia. Seriously, when are other Soul Society captains/vice captains going to come to the rescue? It's just become extremely boring and unbelievable. Ichigo gets his ass kicked, healed, kicks more ass, and somehow has an endless supply of energy. It really has become the new DBZ. :[

its okay but is not as good as dbz.

Well at this point everyone is trying to reach Las Noches where Aizen is and until the get close enough its pretty much just fighting a mess load of hollows and arrancars which is not bad. I think some of you are just over reacting a bit and are just nit picking every little flaw which in reality there aren't that many to begin with. Every great anime series will always have some type of flaw, just look at Dragonball and Dragonball Z.

while i do agree, there would be no point for them to get to where aizen is, does ichigo seriously think he can beat aizen as he is now?

If I know Ichigo, then I think he does. Too bad...
Imo, Bleach isn't going downhill at all, but they just need to get back on track like the anime intend to this week.

Bleach as far as the manga is concerned is going just fine. The only thing i don't like is that ichigo can't take a breath and had to pull bunnies out of his butt to win every1 there.
The anime on the other hand isn't goin that well. But i think the fillers will end soon so it will get back to the normall.
