You know somethings just not right with Aizens character in the last 5 chapters. Him getting actually getting hit with yama's last attack I could deal with, but getting surprised by ichigo just seems way off.

Has anyone else noticed that ever since Aizen cut down the last of the captains, he hasn't done anything "physical". WW basically did all the fighting against Yama. Makes me wonder why a guy who could block Bankai's with his bare hands would need his sword to finish yama off. Add to that the mysterious disappearance of Gin, and I think you see where I'm going with this.

I predict were going to find out "Aizen" is actually Gin in disguise. Aizen trained Gin to act like him (like he did another guy from the pendulum arc), and switched places with him 4 chapters ago. Gin (with the help of WW) was tasked with defeating yama while Aizen puts "other plans" into motion. Gin is going to fight ichigo, and eventually people will notice it's not Aizen. When someone like komamura notices "Aizen" dodging ichigo's attacks, even though Aizen took his head on like it was nothing, he's going to figure out somethings not adding up.

Edit: Also Gin will get beat down by ichigo after a long and drawn out fight, in which ichigo uses every bit off power he has (like every other fight he's got in). Aizen will then show up to reveal his master plan to everyone and laugh at ichigo.

^ ichigo isn't effected by illusions, and aizen wasn;t surprised he was putting on an act the spoiler explains why.

That's a nice theory, but I think that really is his real family. I believe his spirit was experimented on by aizen for some purpose. Maybe he is the key, or maybe he's the perfect vizard. I'm more inclined to believe the latter.

I remember in the early chapters it talked about how souls are always going from earth to SS and back to earth again in the cycle of life and death. I think this plays an important role in the story. Obviously when a person is reborn on earth, they don't have any memories of their previous life. It's like their a clean slate with no sins, no memories, and no sense of self. Well who controls this cycle of life? I think it's has to be SS right? Aizen has proved he can go anywhere and do anything in SS without gathering suspicion. He's had 100 years to do all sorts of crap without anybody to stop him. By the time the vizard incident happened SS had already tried experimenting on souls. That's where the Mod souls came from. So what if Aizen took it a step farther and began modifying souls with Hollow powers. Not just ichigo either. Remember in Hueco mundo, chad said his powers resemble a Hollows more then a shinigami. Orihime's powers still haven't been explained either. Ichigo seems to be the best result from Aizens experiment. He said himself he's been watching ichigo all his life.

Ishin is a vizard. Remember when the captains assemble when platoons of shinigami dissapear, there was one or two captain not attending. I'm guessing Isshin was a Kenpachi of Team 11 (explain Ichigo's massive reiatsu and his vizards ability).

Same goes like the other vizards, Ishin got saved by Uruhara and turn out to be the only one vizard to try a gigai from Uruhara to make himself human.

When Ichigo were born, he was born a shinigami/human. When Rukia stab him in chapter 1, Ichigo is a shinigami/human/hollow. Didn't Aizen said he arrange for the meeting of Ichigo and Rukia and Ichigo able to see hollow on that instance (before the stabbing)?

And Aizen somehow is a shinigami/human/hollow as Ichigo.

Quite a few guessing, I guest. But no less than that theory relating to the King's key.

Funny how the the villains are able to release their full power without feeling bad about it, yet Gotei 13 either doesn't want people to see it, their Bankai is too powerful, or some unexplained event is stopping them from such. It must suck to be the Captains considering there are so many constrictions on their powers yet the bad guys have no side effects when it comes to releasing...

HAY Gin this be no difference. Let's pwn them and go get something to eat."

Watch next week the scene switches over to Yammy.lol We don't get to see Gin's Bankai for a while.

i don't think ichigo will turn into a beast at all. i assumed his second form in vizard mode was perfect. he turned full hollow full shini...i think it would be a step back to go beastial...the thought of it is sorta primative. ichigo will fight gin and like the true saiyan he is, he will get stronger and pull out his vizard level two form and ass rape aizen for no reason at all.

Someone can be a prodigy as a child that however doesn't mean that he will be exceptional as an adult.

Aizen talks about the will of the hougyoku and how it isn’t merely to cut down the barrier between hollow and shinigami. Basically the hougyoku has a will of its own and what it seeks to do is to understand and then create what is inside people’s hearts. So it made the vaizards true vaizards because that was Urahara’s wish. It gave Inoue and Chad powers because they fretted over their own inabilities. Rukia was able to give Ichigo all of her shinigami power as it was her desire due to not being free of the pain she still felt over killing Kaien.

Ichgio pretty much is the wackest main character of all time. Anything regarding Ichigo pulling off something stellar would be incredibly forced (won't be a smooth transition) due to Kubo giving this guy little character dev. The only thing I really see from this guy is going Final Hollow and blindsiding Aizen, or something. He'll somehow get cred for his ability and what not, but it won't be sweet. Though, Aizen resurfacing after critical hit to start the chapter has long now lost its novelty.

His name should be changed from Ichigo, to WTF??? Because he never knows whats going on, or when to take control of the situation because he's obviously the key in defeating Aizen.

Not to ruin anyone's parade but ichigo is one of the weakest if not the weaker of all the good guys, every single win up to this point has being due to PNJ and not to his skill.

Lets recap ichigo abilities, he has 1 skill(Tetsuga Tensho) he needs his Bankai to keep up with other people shikai and needs a mask to somehow keep up with their bankai, and even with the mask on he falls short and only wins because no one takes him seriously so they toy with him until Kubo pulls a fake rabit and makes ichigo win by force of plot.

Ishiin with only his UNrelease sword(not even Shikai in case you didn't get it) is keeping up with Aizen and is able to "FLICK" aizen off , remember that Ichigo with Bankai couldn't even touch Aizen and got Owned bared handed in the SS ark.

I gotta disagree with you. Isshin must have his shikai out. How could he use Tetsuga Tensho with an unreleased sword?

Other then that I agree with the rest of your post (more or less) Isshin>>ichigo at base. But IMO ichigo with his mask is about the same level as isshin at base.

So far we haven't seen enough of isshin to determine his full strength, but it's hard to imagine he would be stronger then ichigo's full hollow mode. Anybody that strong could have taken care of Aizen years ago, before he got his magic stone.

Aizen never called out his sword's name. He's stated that when KS is released is when it places them under his hypnosis. During the "fight" with Aizen back in Soul Society, Aizen did 1 attack on Ichigo, and that was to nearly cut him in half. He never said "Shatter KS". Ichigo also saw through the switch with Hinomori after everyone else was attacking. Then there was Ichigo's comment about Aizen not even using his shikai when they fought in Soul Society when Unohana was restoring his spiritual pressure.

Aizen stated that the injuries he inflicted on Hitsugaya, Soi Fon, Shinji, and Shunsui weren't great enough to kill them. For all we know Unohana is healing them to get them back in the game.

対話に成功し、斬月の中に入った苺。気をつけろよ、今度の斬月は暴れるぞ・・・という 一心の言葉で次号。

In the Dangai, as if in meditation, Ichigo is conversing with his sword. Then suddenly, from the back, Isshin looks like he attacks, but Ichigo parries him off.

Then it flashbacks a little to “I’ll be able to teach you here” and continues from there.
And then, Isshin explains.
In the Dangai, space is multiplied and overlaps, that the streams of time flow around it.
In short, inside the Dangai, the density of time compared to outside is overwhelmingly high. If he had to use a number, it would be 2000-fold.

In the olden times, a pathway through the Dangai to the real world would be like going through a penal colony.
If you got caught by currents, it was certain death, if you were chased by the Koutotsu, time twists so that you end up straying far from the real time.

Inside Karakura in SS.
Keigo’s been running around the people fallen by the streets, the street signals and cars are all stopped. He shouts and cries, looking for anyone who could hear him, until something hits him.
What hits him is Tatsuki. He’s happy, but the usual High tensioned Keigo gets told to shut up by Tatsuki.
Tatsuki carries the fainted Chizuru and (Ogawa?) to school.
On the way, Tatsuki tells Keigo about what she knew.
I knew it! Ichigo was involved?, says Keigo in confirmation. Who else was involved? He asks.
Well, it’s probably Ichigo’s fault, somehow it involves Ichigo… well, he’s that guy.. continues Tatsuki.
Aizen and Gin enters the town. SS is unsuitable to such scenery, says Aizen as they look it over.
The meditation looks like a success, so Ichigo enters Zangetsu’s world. Be careful, this Zangetsu will be violent… warns Isshin.

Strangely enough, that's a better theory then 90% of the naruto section. At least your theory doesn't have Tobi=Obito in it.:D

Facts:
Urahara Kisuke created and mastered (self claim) the Hougyoku. (Chapter 402, page 6).

Ichigo's father was on par with Aizen before his transformation and made the conclusion that only someone in the same situtation as Aizen may recognize his powers after the transformation (Chapter 406, page 3).

Ichigo felt his reiatsu (Chapter 407, page 08).


Theory:
Urahara made another Hougyoku and implanted it in Ichigo somehow, supposedly before his birth since Aizen knew about his powers the moment he was born. (Maybe Urahara hid it in his mother and Ichigos father was supposed to guard her but fell in love, bla bla bla, another theory without anything backing it up.)

It's the reason why he wins his fights and he got his Shinigami powers.
He wanted some means to protect his family, Rukia decides to give him her powers. He wanted to defeat Renji, his reiatsu leaped. He wanted to fight together with his Zanpaktou, he found out it's name. He wanted to defeat everyone hefought with, BAM, his reiatsu and powers leaped over and over again. Those times where he was on the edge of death he wanted to win at any cost, and he won, for a price.

Aizen knows the Hougyoku's powers and he know what he wants, but Ichigo doesn't know his powers and can't use it fully. All he wanted was strength to defeat the opponent he was currently facing, not become the 'ultimate being'.


Not a rock solid theory, but it just popped in my head and I wanted to post it somewhere. Here seemed to be the best place.

Hmmm..........My prediction (that kubo finally finishes the damn manga!aizen loses everyone wins yada yada) god I don't have any patience to be waiting anymore for mangas i'm on a schedule kubo!:P

I'm predicting, because I'm hoping for this, that there will be some plot development.

Well obviously Gin failed, the new chapter will be called 'God is Immortal'. Kinda gives away the possibility of an Aizen death.

Flashback from the time when Gin still lived in Rukongai.
He’s in the forest picking twigs. Through a clearing in a thicket,there are 3 shinigami hanging their heads to Aizen.
Aizen takes the hougyoku from the shinigami? (Aizen appears to be presenting the hougyoku.)
The flashback temporarily ends.
Aizen’s body cells decompose and Gin takes the hougyoku which appears. Aizen tries to grab his hand.
Gin shakes it off and flees. Aizen remains lying down.
Aizen mutters the word “Gin…” He lets out a roar and rises up. There’s smoke coming from his chest cavity(?).
In silhouette, Gin says, “This is the end,” and he tries to crush the hougyoku.
There’s a loud noise and a pillar of light in the sky. From the center comes Aizen with 3 butterfly wings. There’s a cross in his chest cavity.
“It is my victory, even if the hougyoku is no longer within me.”
The hougyoku in Gin’s hand turns white and makes rumbling noise.
Aizen instantly appears in front of Gin, and his chest cavity closes up.
Another flashback.

As Gin saw the entire thing from the forest, Rangiku was beaten up and unconscious.

So Im guessing Aizen let gin "kill" him so he can further transform just like he let kisuke and the other 2 fuck him up so e can transform back then.

don't get carried away... i'm hoping for an epic battle myself...however

look at how it has started!
it has started the same way every other major fight ichigo has had and this time is nothing different.
in other words kubo hasn't shown as that he's trying anything new with this battle so far.

look at the last fight ichigo had with yammy (i think his name was that big fat number 0 guy in hueco mundo)
he came in all calm and cool and then got pawned...ulquiorra...grimjaw

nothing has shown to have changed in the way the fights commence so lets just hope that if the style hasn't changed the content at least will be good.

has anybody else also come to the conclusion that kubo has now diverted from Aizen's uber shikai... i don't beleive kyoka suigetsu is going to be coming back into the picture now that Aizen has 'evolved'

I predict that Ichigo will win & Aizen dies. Finally we can move on to the last two arcs of this manga. Bring on Squad Zero & the SS King!

I also predict that Ichigo no longer has access to hollow powers. I predict from this moment on Ichigo will simply fight as a Shinigami. I believe this was done to make it more realistic when Kubo introduces squad Zero & the SS King.

^I agree. I think it's somewhat comparable to how Sasuke lost his Curse Seal powers, and gained his MS. Basically trading one power for another.

Ichigo's new powers definitely shit on his previous forms, so there's no reason to go back. If he had fought Ulquiorra in this form the fight would had lasted 2 minutes at best.

chapter 420 prediction:


Ichigo: like I said earlier, this would end in an instant.

Ichigos blade starts glowing, the wrap on his arm glows also. His entire body is engulfed with the getsugas black energy. all you can see is the energy slowly covering ichigos last bit of eye that is still barely visible

As it covers his entire body, ichigo swings his sword and calmly says : Getsuga Tensho.

His body explodes as the blackness starting from ichigos body as the centre as it rapidly expands and covers the sky. Aizen watches in awe.

Flashback
back in ichigos world in training.
ichigo is on his knees heavily breathing and heavily injured.

The fusion of tensei zangetsu and hollow ichigo is also on his knees, his facial expression is calm as he looks down on his chest and sees a massive diagonal cut.

Tensa zangetsu: Fine, I will give you the final getsuga tensho.

ichigo: ha.....ha.....give? ha... what do you mean? don't you mean teach? ha...

Tensa zangetsu in thought: It isn't in my interest to do this but.....

Zangetsu eyes are half opened as he stares at ichigo, ichigo is confused..
zangetsu charges at ichigo, as he charges, his body slowly turns into a black gas like figure until he merges with ichigos body.

Ichigos glows with black aura, ichigo stands up, still confused as he witnesses the world of building collapses.

Back in the real world, ichigo opens his eyes and stands up.

Ishiin: Ha...ha...Finally, I'm not sure how long more I would have lasted.

Ichigo's sword merges with his hand as the black aura wraps around his arm.

Ichigo: what is going on? I feel different, not stronger, but different, and I cannot sense zangetsu's reiatsu from the zanpacto anymore.

Ishiin: You have been given the Final getsuga Tensho, the power is now yours!

Ichigo: But I don't know how to....

Ichigo: I don't understand, why did zangetsu hesitate so much, why did we fight?

close up on ishiins face: He was testing you! In order to give you the Final getsuga, he merged with your soul completely and gave you his power, he consciousness is no longer of this world.

Ichigo shocked: is he?
Ishiin: ha...ha....YES, you won't see him again, NOW GO!
Ishiin falls as ichigo catches him on his shoulder...ichigos eyes change and grips his sword tightly.

Ichigo:.....Zangetsu.....

Flashback ends..

All you can see is smoke in the desert area....the ground has a massive hole in it....
as the air starts to clear in the sky you can see ichigo in the same position as before..

he looks down and sees aizen bleeding, all of his hollow heads havs been cut off..his mask destroyed.. his left leg gone...

aizen: you...insect!!!
ichigo: I'm surprised you survived, looks like I can't control it well yet.

the hokyoku shines..aizens hollow body armour shatters, his limbs grow back to reveal aizen has reverted back to the form before gin 'killed' him.

Aizen still in pain barely able to stand up
aHe puts both hands out and looks up as he shouts
Aizen: BANKAI!!!

ichigo looks with the same eyes but a sweat drops rolls down from his face, all of his upper body bankai clothes has disappeared and the black wrap around his arm as gone.
ichigo watches as aizen invokes bankai..

few moments later.
aizen looks confused....ichigo continues watching
Nothing happens

Aizen: what is this!??? kyoka suigetsu what is this!?!?

Aizen closes his eyes.
he enters his zanpactos world.
it completely different to ichigos.. it is a world full of mirrors....

aizen looks around and sees mirrors shattering..
Aizen: kyoka suigetsu....Where are you!

aizen spots something: !
the world of mirrors is being consumed by a darkness and expanding..
aizen's eyes follows the darkness to its source and sees the hogyoku!

Aizen: ! .....What is the meaning of this !

Aizen watches as the entire space is consumed by the hogyoku, before the darkness reaches aizens foot he opens his eyes back to reality to see ichigo in front of him as he does a horizontal slash to aizens chest.

Aizen falls back.
his face in anger and confusion.

Ichigo as he walks towards aizen: looks like you are too weak, no longer able to call upon your bankai.

The hokyku in aizens chest is cracked from ichogs slash...it shines!

Aizen hears a voice in his head: You are no longer needed...

As it shines blackness appears from the hogyoku in aizens chest as it engulfs aizens body

Aizen: ARRRRGHHHH!!!!!!
Aizen stands up in pain..
an image of aizen trying to grab the hogyoku with both hands as the blackness continues to engulf more of his upper body, his neck and his chin.

The only thing that can make me happy about the aizen ichigo fight...

We know aizen will lose, whether be dies or comes back later is another matter,

But the one thing that would redeem this whole saga for me is before aizen completely loses to ichigo he at least tries to us kyoka suigetsu against ichigo and ichigo either counters or avoids getting caught in it (I don't care which, even just avoiding it is fine)

In the upcoming chapters I'm just hoping that the other captains have the decency to explain that the only reason hey didn't use their bankai's was because they knew there would be no point as they were under kyoka suigetsu's affect.

Why they didn't use them against the espada, the only logical explanation kubo can come up with is that there were only 3 espada to fight! And that little White haired git of a captain originally said if aizen had (11? Or more) than soul society was doomed.
So in other words they thought they didn't need to as they had superiority in numbers.

ikkaku isnt gonna become a captain cause he wants to stay with kenpachi, he's already decided this it isnt gonna change. renji as a captain would begood and hisagi i dont think he will become a captain he doesnt have bankai yet.

Not sure where 6 came from, but the ones in Hueco Mundo are back. Kenpachi and Byakuya were being yelled at by Yamamoto along with Shinsui for losing their cloaks in battle. Unohana came back to the human world with Ichigo, as she restored his spiritual pressure on the run back, and Kurotsuchi travels back and forth between Soul Society and Hueco Mundo to do research.

My opinion, Hisagi will become the new 9th division captain once he achieves bankai (if he hasn't already). Kira will take over for the 3rd division, since he's been doing that anyway. Not sure who will take over the 5th, since Momo isn't ready for it (she still called Aizen "Captain" when she showed up) and she was damn near dead.

Unlikely since they never claimed to be allied with the Gotei 13 when they were fighting the Espada. Shinji told Yamamoto that they were on Ichigo's side and not the Gotei 13. The Vizards were going to be killed by the Gotei 13, why would they go back after 100 years?

The only aspect of that storyline that was important was why Hisagi has the "69" on his cheek. He was rescued by Kensei, saw the "69" tat on his stomach, and got it himself as kind of a respect thing. That's all that the "storyline" between them involved. The only thing I would see happening between Kensei and Hisagi is Hisagi goes to Kensei to train more

Kira is doing fine now. He was depressed for a little bit, but Gin even commented that Kira's doing fine now. He's accepted Gin's betrayal and essentially took over Captain duties for Squad 3.

Hinamori is a different story. She claims to be ok with what happened, but still called Aizen "Captain". Not to mention she was royally fucked up when Aizen swapped places with her using Kyoka Suigetsu. She won't be returning for quite some time. But when she does, she'll realize that Aizen is gone and she'll have grown up.

Making Renji a captain is actually a good idea. He has Bankai (a pre-requisite for all ways of gaining Captain rank aside from killing the previous captain in a 1-on-1 fight). He constantly trains to better himself (mostly to surpass Byakuya, but he still trains). As a lieutenant, he has to lead smaller squads so he does have leadership training.

As for new Captains, Kira and Hisagi are sure to become captains of their respective squads.

Hisagi technically dealt the final blow to Tosen, as stabbing him through the neck and releasing his shikai took Tosen out of the fight. Because this took place in front of at least one captain (not sure who all was watching, since it requires at least 2 captains for battle promotions), he has the chance to become the new Captain of Squad 9. Hisagi has already taken over Captain duties of Squad 9 with Tosen's betrayal, so it's not like he doesn't have the ability for it.

Kira would have to achieve bankai first. But Matsumoto has pointed out that Kira and Hisagi both vanish to train while she was watching Toshiro train, so he's on the path to gaining bankai.

I predict that things are gonna be just the way they are .

I'm assuming k-lai means that the Gotei 13 are a long forgotten aspect of this manga, and the Captains ineptitude against Aizen had relegated them to being mere supporting characters, so the idea of filling the missing seats is highly irrelevant to the plot at the moment.

Well, it is irrelevant to the plot right now since the main plot of this arc is getting Ichigo his powers back so he can deal with the next big-bad or Aizen breaking free.

As for the Captains ineptitude towards Aizen, it happens with the writer decides to troll everyone with his favorite character and then turn said character into a massive fag (fairy mode Aizen, 'nuf said). Kubo even trolled himself with Aizen, as he made him so powerful that he couldn't properly kill him off after revealing Gin's true bankai (seriously, he had an out with that and instead chose to kill off a cool character for that fairy)
