There have been several books that have made internally emotional, but only one that's made me cry - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. That one part at the end, *spoiler warning!* when he was walking into his own death and talked to the ones he loved who had passed away, and it was just so sad!! It was so, like, cute, too, because he's, like, "Does it hurt?" and yeah. *spoilers over* so I'm wondering if anyone has ever had a book that made them cry.

Seriously? What was so sad about that book?

Maybe I don't feel too emotional over *spoiler* dogs dying *spoiler over* because I'm allergic to them.

I've read several, actually.

But I'll just share one, which is The Photograph by Penelope Lively. It's about a man (Glyn) who's wife (Kath) has recently passed away and he uncovers a photograph of her and another man, and this propels him into back-tracking the years of their marriage and uncovering many secrets along the way.

Basically, during their marriage he was very caught up with his work and by the end of the book, he has found a completely new understanding and respect for his wife... and alongside that, an even greater loss and wish to love her how he should have when she was alive.

The last sentence always gets me, and I remember crying over it particularly.
"Glyn knows now that he has to find a new way of living with Kath, or rather a way of living with a new Kath. And of living without her, in a fresh, sharp deprivation."
