I already posted this, but it seems to have fallen off the face of the Suggestions Board. So, I re-suggest, you guys should make a board especially for Role-Playing Threads, or Add-On Stories.

I don't like this idea. It sounds lame, just a way to raise your post count.
I hate these at other forums, the add-on stories are like fanfics, and i hate them too. So i give it a thumbs down :(

yeah it really does encourage spamming alot but after a while i agree dat it does get kind of boring cuz some people really over do it sometimes and get all crazy in these kind of things

Really? I mean, I understand the "people acting invincible" thing, but I've never been to an RPG forum that wasn't any good. At least, not the RPG's that I started...

well it's only interesting when ur doing it with friends but when it's with eveyone else things tend to get a little repetitive and thus the thread gets boring fast and people are not intersted anymore

well you should just start a thread in the spam zone.......like if your in a club make a thead there like put in your club that there would be an rpg battle thread in da spamz zone........i think that would work

I don't do this to revive an old topic, but to revive an old suggestion that many are taking too out of proportion.

A) This "invincible" feeling is called power-modding, or god-modding, and can be limited by the moderator of the forum.

B) It's not a way to raise post count if you use the vBulletin to change the forum to disallow it from adding to your posts, such as the spam forum.

C) If you can get some avid, creative RPers, the stories would not be all that redundant and boring.

D) Add-ons can be great, but even if they aren't, you're not forced to read them.

That's just my take on things because I believe that an RP forum would be nice to have. I mean, hell, even if it doesn't work out, it can be slaughtered and thrown in the trash whenever the administrators deem fit...

waaa you hate RPG *drops dead* well to me there the second best thing in the world beside anime.... well its ok if your at an RP site were like over 100 people are on at a time and your allwas posting ((I just kill people I'm the death god WOOT in a high school RP because I'v killed 1 RPC from ever mod and admin I didn't want to over do it and get banned )) well RP is only fun when you like your RPC and there are good SL's out there such as killing people bwahahaha

I don't mean to spam this thread by saying this, but I do think that this idea should be given a shot. At least for a week or two...

Hell, I've been RPing for a few good years, and I love it, and am still able to come up with some creative storylines.

Role-playing can be fun. I like it and the ideas I've seen people come up with are great. All that has to be done is say no god-modding or you'll be banned and that's it. Role-playing is like a fanfiction combing with the ideas of other people. It's a great expierence and I give it a thumbs up.

Or, you could simply create a forum for it, disable the posts, which is only a click away, and then if it doesn't work out, two or three more clicks, and the entire RP forum can go down the drain.

I only believe that it needs its own forum because if there are enough participants, there can be a sub-forum for characters, and then a sub-forum for old, finished topics. That way the normal RP forum doesn't get cluttered with topics.

Like usual, that's just my take on things.

I just suggested to have an RPG a couple of minutes ago...Anyways, it's really fun if you've got creative people and no god-modding. Like on the DBZ CCG message board Jo Momma was a really good RPer as well as a few others.
