Itachi isnt that good, he was hesitant to fight with Jiraiya which means he wasnt sure if he could win or not even with kisame there to help him. So if hes not sure about Jiraiya then he probabally couldnt beat the strongest Hokage, and he probabally couldnt beat Sarutobi if he was still alive and 20 years or so younger. I'm not saying Itachi is weak or anything, its just that he ran away from Jiraiya which makes me think he isnt the strongest ninja alive. Now the leader of Akatsuki most likely is.

he ran cause it was a waste of time bothering to fight.... since itachi never likes to waste time... if you paid close attention there.... even wen gai game they left cause it also got pointless

i believe dat itachi is strong and dat naruto can beat him but 3 years training is not enough to beat a successor of the sharingan and to beat someone as itachi who is only concerned with killing and has no emotion at all, u will need to be on top of everythin, naruto would win but he would need to train more in my mind

i think itachi is stronger than naruto even the great orochimaru admited it. if jirayia is no match for orochimaru(which itachi is stronger than orochimaru) jirayia is no match for him.he didn't fight jiraiya and run away because it his not their objective to fight but to get the kyubi inside of naruto. if it is one of their objectives to kill the ninja's that will get on their way maybe kakashi is already a gonner. dont u think?

Yes he ran from Gai cause it was pointless, he was after Naruto and Naruto wasnt there. But he ran from Jiraiya and Naruto was there, so it wasnt pointless to fight, he wanted Naruto and he was there right in front of him. If naruto woulda been with Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai they would have all been killed, but he wasnt there so he didnt want to fight them. So yea he ran from Jiraiya cause he wasnt sure if he could win or not.

@osoy - Orochimaru is weaker then both Tsunade and Jiraiya, only reason they had a hard time with him when they fought was because Tsunade posioned Jiraiya and Kabuto f*cked up Tsunade.

I hate to tell some of you. First off Orochimaru said Itachi was stornger than him after he got his arms sealed by the 3rd hokage. Orchimaru with his arms probaly would have beaten the other 2 sennins. I know jiraya was poisoned, and had he not been poisened he might have beaten orochimaru, but orchimaru beat them with a tounge. Itachi would not beat naruto, but wipe his ass with him. I know naruto has Kyubi but Kisame took that shit away quick. What do you think Itachi would have done? Also If you remeber the ep where gai comes to help Kakashi. Gai says that he can beat sharingan. Iatchi didnt want to fight for fear he might lose to Some of Konoha Junonin and lose sight of his goal. Wich is Naruto

Well, naruto must be more mature and more catious during the battle and use the brain and always keep his cool maybe lyk dat he will stand more chance

if naruto can control kyuubi 100%, naruto would win. No one is a match for kyuubi, unless you use that sealing technique, but only two people know how to use it, and they're both dead now. But Itachi wouldn't be able to kill Naruto no matter what, because Kyuubi will just heal Naruto when Naruto got seriously hurt.

yeah but remember the bigger the scar the longer it will take to heal and there's no guarantee dat naruto's wounds would heal immediately in a battle and dat could be fatal especially when fighting someone like itachi, but i would rather naruto to rely less on the kyuubi and more on his skills cuz everyone believes dat it's because of the kyuubi dat naruto is so good, i jus want him to prove them wrong
