OK, This was an awesome chapter, you get to see some smackdown from Gai, and just how fast and powerful Itachi's Genjutsu and seals are. AMAZING!1!!! Some excellently drawn pages, and everyone seems so mature and powerful now. I want to see more fighting! :D

A better question, actually statement is did you see how powerful Naruto's Rasengan was and how he did it without a clone. He had the energy on tap so fast oh my god, can you imagine seeing this chapter animated I might go crazy seeing it. I haven't even finished the chapter yet and I had to come and post a reply.

Edit: Okay maybe I have missed something but i thought all fights were concluded in this chapter, I finished looking at Gai's fight and just new there was another page that showed the Itachi, Naruto, Sakura fight. By the way that is some shockwave from his Rasengan, it knocked everybody out with that one attack.

I speculated that they were knocked down by itachi, seeing as they don't know where he is right now, unless he's still holding points with kakashi, letting his shadowclone do the work against Naruto.

Do you think that Naruto can be fooled by genjutsus while using the power of the kyubi? I ask because, when he uses that power, his eyes change to red fox/cat-like eyes. Its never been stated whether this can allow him to see farther or clearer or keep up with quicker targets. What if it could block genjutsus though, or at least Naruto found a way to use those eyes to counter the sharingan, since he has known he would have to face Itachi sometime and possibly Sasuke again.

It would just be really cool in 259 to see Naruto close his eyes and open them again in "fox mode" and the genjutsu Itachi seems to have him in fades away. Cause he has to be in a genjutsu, or else Kakashi, Sakura and the old hag are just hiding in the trees and letting Naruto fight, which doesn't seem likely.

maybe not immortal but definitely waay strong, i think if Naruto got caught in Itachi's Genjutsu, hed still have a hard time breaking free of it, i dont htink the chakra would really do anything when trapped and seems like Gai finally realized who Kisame is.. watch him get his name wrong XD

Kawarimi no jutsu is the nuja replacement technique. Also I think that Itachi switched with a shadow clone to fool Naruto, while he went to attack Sakura, and Kakashi. Kisame is still alive but barely at the end after Gai's attack. It reminded my of Bruce Lee with the nunchaku, and Rock Lee's Ura Renge. I want to see that chapter animated so frickin' bad!!!!!!

Alright. MY SIDE OF WHAT HAPPENED.

Naruto charged ahead to attack the Itachi-clone that was attacking Kakashi from the back as Kakashi ran into the false Itachi. IN doing this Naruto left his comrads, dumb move, and so the REAL-Itachi went down and took Sakura and the Granny, most likely knocking them out. Then as you see the two, clones doing Henge, stood up and de-transformed back into their cloned selves, Itachi. SO basically all of the "Itachis" were clones and the real Itachi took Sakura, Granny, and Kakashi, so that he could fight Naruto and take him to get the Kyuubi. That sounds, to me, a lot more credible than some of the stories I have heard so far from you peoples.

I thought you have to see or hear a genjutsu for it to work on you, remember when Itachi was fighting Kurenai she did the genjutsu on him but he was watching her, when Tayuya and Shika were fighting didn't she play her flute which made him fall into her genjutsu. Duneninja that is a good point though whether or not the kyuubi can see through genjutsu's like the sharingan, I wonder if Neji can as well with his blood limit.

I don't know, I can't see Kakashi going down in one hit, just seems wrong somehow. At the very least Naruto may now be on par with Kakashi, so it wouldn't be much of a fight in the next chapter between Naruto and Itachi. Sakura, on the other hand, hasn't shown enough new combat skill to make me think otherwise (we've only seen her punch the ground really hard, doesn't mean she got any faster).

I can only think of 2 ways Naruto could have been trapped in the genjutsu. The first was when Itachi pointed at him and said he was going to capture him eventually, Naruto looked right at him, so he could have used the Sharingan right then, The second would be when Naruto attacked the clone, it could have performed a genjutsu that activated when Naruto hit it with the Rasengan, since the Rasengan doesn't immediately effect the opponent. Remember that Kabuto was able to still attack Naruto's heart a second after the Rasengan hit him. So, knowing how fast Itachi can perform seals, the clone could have done so when the Rasengan first impacted. Plus, if the two bodies that got up turned into Itachi, revealing them to be clones, where did he put Kakashi, Sakura and granny. Did he put them in the woods or something. I doubt Sakura and granny would have charged in another direction after the real Itachi without shouting out for Kakashi or Naruto. So, the only plausible explanation is that he's in a genjutsu, and why the preview title for the next chapter is "Sharingan" cause right now thats what Naruto is really fighting against.

To give my question to your question, kidistight, I don't think Neji can be caught in a genjutsu, cause he could see the chakra distribution and know where the real opponents are. Remember, when he fought Naruto he could see all the tenketsus (spelling check on that one) for all of Naruto's clones cause they distribute chakra equally. But, like when Sakura just does the weaker version of Bushin and just creates images, he would see that all the chakra still resides in the real Sakura and so would know where she is.

A question I've bee wondering for awhile is if Neji, Hinata, and the others of their clan can see in the dark? Does seeing chakra points depend on light to illuminate a person? Doesn't chakra kind of give off a glow of its own. They might not be able to see any throwing knives aimed at them, but I wonder if they could see people. Like when the 3rd was covered in darkness during his fight with Oro, 1st, and 2nd. If Neji were in the same situation, could he have seen those three clearly?

Hey about Itachi's genjustu, I'm 100% sure Jirayia has taught Naruto how to break it. Jiraya saw Itachi using it against his brother, so definetly he's aware of its strong and dangerious so he will not let naruto face him without a tactic to defeat that Justu.

^^ am with u upthere. I expected Neji will be the one to break the water barrier, although I didn't understand how he did so?. Anyway, Naruto is cool, and am sure even if he's within a genjustu he will figure out a way to defeat it. If Jiraya didn't teach him how to break Genjustus, then he is a bad teacher:D like GTO. or atleast he should tell him ways to avoid the shariengan or do something about it.

I was terribly surprised seeing the gai-kisame fight!! it was awesome... gai is sooooo good for opening the 6th gate without causing much harm to his body.... congratulations also to naruto for performing the rasengan without using kage bunshin... dark dante... i think your right... maybe it's just an illusion why sakura and the others were beaten "instantly"

Really though hasn't Naruto always been stronger than Kakashi and just recently Sasuke joined the club as well since he received the level 2 cursed seal. if they were both better and smarter fighters then they would be able to beat Kakashi but I don't think they are that good yet. I would love to see Naruto challenge Kakashi or at least say he would want to fight Kakashi like him and Sasuke said to each other. Regarding Sakura we wouldn't be able to tell how fast she was before since she never did anything, but she was fast enough to hit the ground without Kakashi seeing it. Regarding Neji what about if there are clones in the genjutsu that have there chakra evenly distributed, do you think he could still see through it still? The second part to your post I agree chakra does give off some light, remember all the times Naruto radiates red chakra from the kyuubi or the time Sasuke radiated purple chakra when he sometimes activates the cursed seal. I don't think you need light to see the chakra points, there eyes just seem them no matter what, clear as day no matter if there is light or not. Neji would still be able to see throwing knives thrown at him because he has almost 360 degrees of vision, which is why he could swat away the arrows that were coming at him when he was fighting in the woods against the spider guy.

I doubt he would say that because he knows Itachi is coming for Naruto, he can either fight, run, or just give up. We all know he isn't going to run or give up so it would only make sense for him to teach him how to win against it. He probably taught him to look at there feet as well as use clones to gang up on them, really I have no clue but i am sure he has a bunch of tricks up his sleeve that he will use.

Itachi is, was better than kakashi; don't know Kakashi new powers, stronger than Kakashi. It would be simple to take him out in one shot. Unless Kakashi wants to test Naruto. Which is possible seeing we know Kakashi has done it before...

I think these are all possible but I think Itachi took the three out so he could just take Naruto with him. I don't think he would kill Sakura, Granny, and Kakashi, because he could use that as leverage during the battle. "Come with me or your friends will go through Tsukiyomi and die!!!"

Yea, Shino, you're right it is, but it is so small that it could be just oversized commas in his eye. It does look a lot like it though.

Am sure next chapter Naruto will give Itachi a big shock, and itachi will start to take Naruto seriously.. until now he has being treating him as a child or something like that. I don't think he ever thought of his as a child after seeing him hanging out with Jiriaya, because he probably knew that he was going to get stronger.

Gai will probably say something like: "He's. . .he's that gai from the ramen shop!!!" Or something stupid like that. He most likely won't reckognize Kisame. That would be kind of funny.
