View Full Version : Guild Wars anyone?
Just checking to see if anyone else has Guild Wars, what they think of it, and what their character name is.

My friend got it the other day and I must say, I'm impressed. I only have one character on Roleplaying named Enlon Greenleaf, a Ranger/Warrior and he's pretty nice. The fighting is exciting and it gets even better when you have a group of adventurers with you.
I want to play it some more, but it's Mother's Day and I shouldn't go over and bother him about it...
My character's Kage Ryoushi, a Ranger/Elementalist. I haven't been able to play for a while though, too busy editing a Mother's Day video for my church.

As much as I thought some Monk spells and Necromancer skills helped in long range, I wanted to get the best or at least the most out of both close range and long range. Being a ranger, long was already pretty good and my pet helps with melee but just incase other enemies come up to me I can switch out my weapons and then attack that guy while my pet deals with the other.
Also, I like to base my characters off of original characters in the stories I write. Enlon Greenleaf is a Elven Ranger who travels the world to vanquish those with ill-intent.
I've added your character to my friends list, so next time you're going to be on PM me.

Okay. Kage Ryoushi. I'll try to remember it. What level are you? I'm level 4.
I just got to level 8 a short time ago.

Guild Wars is a new MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that unlike other MMORPGs, there isn't a monthly fee, plus it looks good and plays well. If your computer meets the requirements, why not give it a shot? Since it's new, I think it's about 40 or 50 bucks

friend plays. his name is forbidden x
If your computer meets the requirements...
My computer is a 3 year old Dell (1.6GHz P4, 256mb RAM, 32mb GeForce2 MX) and it runs it fine most of the time (occasional lag). I'm probably going to be getting a better video card soon though. Of course you're also going to need a fast internet connection.

I played the Beta, and it was great, but Im a little short handed on money now So Ill pick it up when the price goes down.
Which Beta weekend did you play? Did a friend invite you or did you get the access code in some other way?

Hey Mel. I'm still in Chapter one, but I'm trying to do all the quests I can before I enter Chapter 2... I still F***ing hate my guild cape.
I did pretty much every quest there was before I went to Chapter 2. Maybe if enough people on here get the game we could make our own NL guild.
Edit: Joining a Guild affects all of your characters, so you're stuck with that cape until you get your own copy of the game, or convice your friend to join our NL guild, which is currently non-existant, but do you want me to creat one for just the two of us for now?

I wouldn't be able to join though. It's my friend's game really and he already joined a guild so my character is stuck with him... I hate it.
Hahaha, simultaneous editing-posting. So... guild? Yes/No?

I don't know. Probably not.
Ok then. Well, if anyone else out there has the game please post here. And if anyone reads this and doesn't have the game, but it. Apparently it works even on dial-up.
