villains are diverse and have their own unique stories which is interesting...itachi didnt kill danzo because he doesnt want to kill konoha ppl he is a peaceful man....

precisely, who would superman be without lex luther, a man with little physical power but is still untouchable. who would batman be without his gallery of rogues.

batman is only heroic when compared to individuals like the joker and scarecrow. superman is only powerful when he DOESN'T heat vision lex's head into goop.

are the newer naruto villains a little... strange... yea, but that is where the ninja world gains the most power, by doing what others deem insane. sasori threw his body of flesh away to make one that concealed weapons everywhere. itachi was sick for years before he fought sasuke.

as for danzou, he's a lex luther character. he's someone that lacks true power himself (possibly, since we don't know his abilities) but is made more powerful by his organization, which also gives him a cloak to hide behind.

we're jsut getting to where the more powerful individuals are, and not all powerful villains run around killing people or look like everyone else.

Sasori should be taken off your list for Orochimaru. Sasori's condition made him immortal & was useful in controlling 100 puppets. All the other's had negative health conditions.

There are other villains I like more.. like Tobi.. he is in really good shape and funny and yet it turns out it's the most powerful villain... Zetsu looks cool too with his double personality ... and Kisame ... he's witty too not gloomy at all, he liked when Tobi arrived to make things more cheerful...and Deidara was pretty cool too... had personality
Orochimaru and Sasori were the worst in Aka just because they were evil ...well..just because they wanted...they took particular pleasure on harming and killing people like no other seem to (except for Hidan maybe)...
Kakuzu was the most realistic villian sort of speak... he was cold unlike any other because he was neutral to everything and everyone but money... he didn't enjoy killing but it didn't disturbed him either... and it seemed to me that it was the only character that didn't had some messed up past... he was like that just because...
Hidan was funny as hell too... looked like an evil kid with a new toy... and it wasn't the smartest by any means... lol

I like more of a villain with reasons to be evil... with an actual moral struggle within them... that makes for more realistic and acceptable villains...
lets take Nagato for example... His reasons made sense to the point that made Naruto doubt himself... he didn't destroy Konoha to "see things moving" like oro wanted... he destroy Konoha for a higher purpose... something we ALL strife for... the means, not the ends, is what it's at stake here...

I agree with balmung, you didn't really list any viable reasons as to why the villians suck. Also you like villians with moral struggles?

Nagato: he led a crapy life and grew up during the Great Ninja War, obviously he didn't agree with the society's standards and decided to inflict his philosophy of what peace is through his methods.

Danzo: Has radical political views on how to run Konohagakure. Will stop at nothing to do what he think is best for the village.

Itachi: (straight from wiki) Itachi's early childhood was marred by war, the violence of which caused him to seek peace at any cost. When years later the Uchiha clan began planning a coup d'état to take control of the village of Konohagakure, Itachi, knowing that a coup d'état would only start another war, turned double agent by providing Konoha with intelligence on the Uchiha. The village eventually gave him the mission of assassinating the Uchiha, a task he asked Madara Uchiha for assistance with.

If those aren't moral struggles in the villians of Naruto (with the exception of Itachi) I don't know series you've been following.

I would have to say that there are only two "villains" that I really liked. Itachi, and Kazaku (Or is it kakazu?). Itachi was the more calm, well thought out and just down right cool headed villain. He killed his entire clan!! He showed respect for other people whom deserved it and even came back to his village to pay his respects to the Third Hokage. He did what needed to be done and nothing more. Yet; he cared enough for his little brother to give him something to drive him forward with out having to be there the whole time.

As for Kazaku/kakazu (Correct me, I'm too lazy to do it myself). The man faught the First Hokage, had five hearts and could use every element in his attacks. Besides the power, his blainted cold heartedness for killing someone or even passing them by made him all the cooler. I know Kisame is cool as Itachi's partner, but I think Kazaku/kakazu (whatever) would have been just as good. Hell, he most likly wouldn't have had to kill Itachi being that they seem to have the same personality.

like you would want all villains to b the same i agree dere storues r a bit messed up but if they were all the same with the same life story it wouldnt be kool

he is going to fight naruto one of these days and itachi knew that and as the manga says attempt to destroy the village,in english language these kinda people are called villians
