Since it seems like alot of manga and anime lovers are here, I have a question for all of you...

What do you look for in a story? (Manga to be precise)

Im currently writing a story, and before I get into a major drawing phaze, and start finalizing the story itself, I'd love some sugestions.

Bu suggestions I mean, genre, character personalities, size, shapes, setting, anything and everything you can think of.

usually i look for a lot of action, maybe some blood here and there, and maybe a tad bit of romance. that's for me. and nice avatar katherinejean. ^_^ umi rules.

For me, it's almost always a romance thing. I love romance ^^;;;


That and things like good character development, interaction and design. These three things are very important. if the characters never grow or change, it's boring and repeatative, if they don't work together well, play off each other, then it's boring. those are my advice, as for genre, I think underlying in whatever kind it is, fantasy, school, action, comedy, food, dance, no matter what it is, tehre is almost always a love story to drive the characters to do things =]

i like action and fighting! Thas y i like naruto cuz theres jitsus and things like that

some of the good guys have to be killed to show the harshness of the world.

some sexuall content.....humor has to be involed (no pointless sexuall content)

An "unraveled" sort of look and feel. Drama, a romance, psychological pain and sorrow. It must be 7 Volumes at most. The characters have to be realistic. No emphisis on bob, no huge bulging biceps or pecks, no huge eyesorpointed nose. Hair style is possible to do, and characters have to be normal, not 6 foot tall babes/hunks.
