My school is fucking obsessed with sports compared to most others in the area. You don't get on teams unless you are actually good. Every other aspect of the school suffers because of this.

Football is obviously THE big sport of the school. I would need to put in far more effort than I really feel like making to get up to being a football player or a wrestler. And I don't have the stamina for any other sports.

I just... blech. My mom always told me to mix it with milk, so I'd always get like a water bottle and fill it up, then put some in... but when you put in a whole scoop it's like, clumpy. And just... gross. Maybe ours tastes different or something lol

They're good, and in some ways better than the originals. But I wouldn't say it's entirely necessary to play them. They might be good games to get back into the series with, though.

Ah crap - not finding either those beers listed anywhere to buy. Guess I'll have to pack my ass over to Germany.

Although Canada likes to boast about their beer prowess, most major brands are no better than anything out there (most are quite similar to mainstream US beer - rather watery, fizzy and tasteless). In fact, talking to some older folks, Canadian beer has been on a rather depressing down swing in quality. So, most beer you may be able to find outside of Canada, I really wouldn't recommend. (Molson Canadian, Labatts Blue - pretty much crap. I don't drink it.)

Two exceptions of larger breweries that produce decent beer would be Alexandre Keiths' that do an IPA, Red, White... it's OK, but a bit overhyped just because it is better than the big two. Then there is Sleeman Breweries - which I have a personal affinity for because they were located in my undergraduate University town and we visited often to get smashed. They do a very nice Cream Ale and Honey Brown Lager, and a lot of their other brews are nice (limited line of Upper Canada beers are nice but I doubt they make it out of Ontario).

Beyond that, it is the microbrews that really are worth talking about. One that I recommend to all is Mill St. Brewery (http://www.millstreetbrewery.com/#/home), which is rightfully piling up the awards - at least something in Toronto is. I don't think they make a beer I don't like (well, I haven't tried their Lemon Tea Beer). Great flavour. I figure at some point they'll expand - I just hope it doesn't ruin them.

For those in Canada, during Christmas time they release a special holiday beer - Barley Wine. It's a strong brew (10% or so) and unlike others that just try to make a more alcoholic beer, it is a rich and deep drink that is unlike anything else. Love it.

The other brewery that used to be micro but was bought by Molson is Creemore Springs. They make a few premiums that are good but have been on a bit of a down because Molson is turning them into their mass premium brand and whenever that happens, micros just seem to lose a bit.

Otherwise, when I'm not buying European beer to remind me of how good it is, I go for a quality vs price balance or the odd special. Lakeport was a brewery that initiated a buck-a-beer and their honey lager isn't terrible. Maclays is a Nova Scotia brewery that if people knew of it, they'd find they brew a cheaper version of Alex Keiths IPA. St Ambrose makes and Oatmeal Stout that kicks the crap out of the watery North American Guiness that they sell us. Wellington Brewery is far to small but they also make quality beer.

Something about alcohol allergies didn't sound right - so I did some interwebbing. Turns out, apparently yes, people can be allergic to ethanol. But that's incredibly rare. More likely it is other ingredients in drinks that are causing allergies. Stuff like gluten or wheat, grape, sulfite, yeast, corn or intolerance to histamines (high content in wine).

I know someone who gets rashes after drinking a lot of beer or any alcoholic drinks.
