I understand where you're coming from, but a thread this rampant with spam just doesn't belong in a section that has post count enabled. That's the rules. We could have just closed the thread and left it at that, but we didn't. Well I work in a Korean company, so basically I speak with Koreans every day. Whenever I need to translate some words in Korean, I just ask one of my Korean co-workers. That's how I'm learning Korean expressions atm. See, I can't even spell the words. xD

You realize Capcom had to make a switch from Umbrella and the T-Virus to keep the series fresh, right? There have been 5 Resident Evil games involving the same zombies with mindless A.I. Hell, there were Tyrants in 3 of those games. Bringing out the Plagas gave a fresher, and more challenging aspect to the game, especially with the 3rd person aspect they introduced into 4. Having enemies that could not only move faster, but work with others to box you in brought the series back to being a SURVIVAL horror. Like I said, the only thing I (meaning ME, my opinion, I don't give a fuck about yours) hated about 4 was Ashley's retarded A.I.

Also, you implied that he was in the movies by saying "Leon was so great that the movies killed him off in part 2". MOVIES. PLURAL. Since it was stated he died before the second movie, the implication was that he appeared in the first movie, survived, and died before the second started.

As to why he turned down Ashley in the end. First, we don't know if he reconsidered after they got back to the States. We don't even know what happened after that aside from Leon joining the BSAA with Chris, Claire, and Jill. Resident Evil wasn't created as a zombie game. It was created as a Survival Horror game that played off the fear of zombies created by George Romero through his Living Dead series. The subplot was also to show just how destructive man can be and how bad things can happen when we meddle with things we shouldn't (altering the Progenitor Virus to a more weapon viable form, for instance). It's also pretty hard to have zombies be smart when THEY ARE DEAD.

Capcom needed to revamp the series while still keeping it Resident Evil. Yeah, people were pissed about the Plagas and the Ganados. But there were more people that enjoyed the switch (myself included) that caused them to continue with the Plagas and bring Wesker back into the fold while advancing the B.O.W's, also bringing old ones back with the advanced lickers (who are, in fact, advanced zombies)
