The season before this one was disappointing as well. My over-all issue with House was that he doesn't change. He's an over-all stagnant character and when he tried and it didn't go the way he wanted he was like WAAAH IMA CRY ABOUT IT NOW AND GET ANGRY AT THE BLACK GUY x[. Just gets old, so I'm rather pleased I haven't watched all of the seasons.

It was a strange death for his character. The way I understood it he was deeply depressed, but was good at hiding it. I remember in that episode house went to search his house, and found a picture of him with some depressed emo looks on his face, and was all like "damn how did I miss this". It was meant to illustrate that House's ever growing addiction to pain pills was affecting his ability to analyze situations, and that he would have likely caught it in time if he wasn't popping 20 pills a day. This mistake was the start of House's downward spiral that eventually led to him needing rehab.

The guy just didn't have time to film house so they wrote him out of the script. As part of his contract with New Line Cinema he was placed on a retainer after he filmed Harrold and Kumar: Go to Whitecastle. It's a common practice in the movie industry that if you got an amazing movie that could make a shit ton of money, that you want to keep the actors on call so that they can make future movies to milk the franchise for even more cash. In 2008 that's exactly what happened. He got called back up to shoot Harrold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay, so he had to leave the show.

Foreman was brought back in the fourth season as senior fellow on the team after he was fired for pulling a House-esque move at another hospital, and in season six he was a "House Supervisor" of sorts while he was still unable to practice medicine from being in a psych ward. Chase is back on the team after Kutner killed himself and Cameron has had cameo roles after she left Chase last season when he intentionally faked a diagnosis to kill a genocidal African dictator and she thought House had corrupted Chase. Though she might return for more episodes, as the actress said that the writers were wanting to do more with her character. She just doesn't know until she gets a script for the episode she's supposed to appear in.

The "real world reason" listed isn't why he left the show. He was offered a job in the White House after Obama took office and accepted it. The position was Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement where he served as a liaison between Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities. He actually left that position in June to return to acting.

That's fine but...
They pretty much just left it on the table and didn't even delve into the whole "House is losing his ability to analyze people" angle. They had one episode they ended with his death, one episode where he went "why didn't I see it" and then ditched the whole line of thought. A total "carry on, no worries, WTF we didn't like him anyway" type of move. It was terrible. It should have messed things up more - even for an arrogant jerk like House. And then, once you had completely forgotten him, he pops up as a hallucination at the very end of the season - WHICH THEY FAIL TO USE EVER AGAIN! It was utterly terrible use of the character. But yeah, Kumar had movies to make... I get that. Just think they could have resolved the story better. This is why I fear 13's return midseason.

@ Vanity - well yeah, hot is definitely a requirement, but I'm hoping they wrote a good character too. They need something to break up the men on the show, but they've already used the meddling do-gooder and the hot bisexual crazy going to die girl... it is a tough act to follow. I worry they'll go and do something stupid like hire Cameron back. Chase has been pegged to do the hiring.

It was in the 5th to last episode in Season 5. He was killed off screen. Foreman and 13 were getting concerned by his not showing up to work, when to his apartment, and found him in his bedroom with a gunshot wound to his head.

I think right now the writers are trying to have Foreman fill in for 13 as the only member of the team to have the balls to stand up to House. He looks House in the eye and will tell him when a theory fails now instead of getting pissy about the insults. Cuddy also has the balls to stand up to House but she doesn't count because A) she's not on the team and B) she can get away with it now that she's sleeping with House.

I hope that House will either hire someone totally badass new chick, with the balls to stand up to anyone on the team, Get Cameron back or go find Thirteen. (Prefer Cameron TBH :P)

Ever have Brennivin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brenniv%C3%ADn)? Icelandic liquor. It is nearly indistinguishable in smell and texture from paint thinner and has been said to be one of the few alcohols than can induce hallucinations. I couldn't ever drink enough to see if that is true.

I remember a few years ago, I was watching my school play University of Michigan in hockey. One of our players was penalized on a bullshit tripping call (the guy that was "tripped" dove to the ice). The second he was let out of the box he made a b-line to the guy that got him penalized and knocked him on his ass before getting off the ice.

My school, until last year, had a player named Chris Frank. He was nicknamed "Frank the Tank" and was the big enforcer. Numerous times I watched him check someone hard into the glass. Once, we were playing Michigan State, he checked a guy so hard into the glass that the guy was helped off the ice and didn't play the rest of the game. There was another game where someone tried to check him, and landed on their ass instead while Chris didn't move.

@Loh': No that's not the same or greater. For example if somebody has you in Full mount, they'll basically dominate you. But there is a method of getting out of a full mount. People won't OHKO, you'll rarely see or perform that.

Think about it logically for a second. Lethal one hit strikes. How reliable would those be in a real fight against a moving, fully resisting, trained opponent? You can't drill lethal one hit strikes effectively, because if you did and they actually worked then you'd kill all your training partners. At the very best, it's an untested, hypothetical technique.

That, in no way, compares to the effectiveness of say...wrestling/judo/BJJ and boxing/MT/etc. where they have full contact training against fully resisting opponents. When I do a takedown in wrestling then I'm doing it exactly like I would in a match or a fight. I don't hold back at all. If it works in practice, then it'll work anywhere else. Since I'm not doing anything different.

And with competition against fully resisting opponents, the art continually evolves and becomes stronger. Since ineffective techniques are shown to be ineffective, and effective techniques flourish. People aren't going to use junk that doesn't work or is too low percentage to be reliable.

The only way you get to that level of effectiveness with insta-kill deathblows is to go around insta-killing trained warriors with deathblows. If you're not doing that, then your deathblows probably aren't really deathblows at all.

You know how hitting a insta-kill strike has to be accurate and it isn't a punch(Their hand is usually a palm, unless you're smashing their adam's apple)? Well I can accurately and easily hit a spot if they're standing still but if they're moving, I'll have a harder time hitting them and if I miss, it'll feel like a tap and they could counter or take me down.

If something is insta-kill and has a 5% chance of hitting and something else is a submission technique that has an 80% chance of pinning your opponent down so he can't do anything, wouldn't you choose the latter? Not sure what you're asking here. Evade and counter other grappling techniques? Depends on what you mean by 'evade.' Like, if you're talking about how you totally jump out of the way of shit all Assassin Creed like, then no. There isn't too much of that. If you mean just preventing takedowns and submissions and shit, then yeah. There is a lot of that.

@Miburo - You sound pretty confident with grappling to the point it can counter a deadly 1hit kill strike. It could go both ways. What if the person doing the strike is faster then the grappler? Who knows really.

You're not getting it. I'm saying that there aren't any one-hit kill attacks that are going to land with any degree of success and reliability, due to the very nature of such techniques. There is no such thing as a high-percentage insta-kill attack that doesn't involve the use of some sort of weapon. If there is, then show me actual proof that such things exist and can be reliably and easily done to fully resisting opponents.

On the other hand, there are TONS of high-percentage takedowns and submission techniques that have, time and time again, been used on fully resisting trained fighters.

It doesn't take a goddamn genius to know which option is VASTLY FUCKING SUPERIOR to the other.

You should go with Wing Zero as first one. Wing Zero was really fun to assemble. And I like its wings (old model).

That manga has some of the most well developed characters I've ever seen from a manga (and it's gory). People I thought to be underhanded, turned out to be some of the most interesting of the characters.
