It's just been announced that London will host the 2012 Olympics games. Has anyone been to an Olympic game? I've never been. Won't be able to goto Beijing for 2008, so I have my sights on 2012 - Far Far Away!!!

lol yer exactly blaze.....we watched it the announcement on tv and when they said london...hell let loose.
And whos to blame why. The olympics has been this national event thats been happening for years, mostly in America, France and Russia. London however haven't had the olympics hosts since the 1940s so this is good news.
Also i dont live far from the stratford stadium and the one near hackney...woohooo~!! :D

It seems like everyone is close by to the event....I'm all the way in Australia! But the Commonwealth Games is in Melbourne next year and that's close by my place. But not as exciting as the Olympics though :(

I am hoping to go to the Beijing 2008.
And maybe London 2012...lol

Since we are on this, do you know that the committee actually instructed China to slow down their construction progress...They are just building it too fast. If it does, it will let the china participants more time and venue to train. ;)

yep, i went to the one at Lake Placid, but it was a while ago, and the im going in 2012 I get to go back to Europe with my school and our first stop is London so I hope to be able to watch the Olympics there
I know, I feel sorry for all those people, our school was on our trip through Europe and we stayed four days in London, we had a great time. and it was so scary that as soon as we got out of London and into Paris they bombed it, I was happy that our school got out just in time but I know that another school was right behind us but our cordinators told us that they got out of there saftly and they got to home to Kyoto. ^_^
