I would really like to discuss Naruto with Mibs and UT again...but I really have nothing more to say. This work has regressed, became a shit fest, and I lost interest completely. For the last two years or so, I have been reading Naruto manga with almost the same disinterest as I used to read Bleach. Up until Nagato's death I was still interested, somewhat, but since then... I will see it end, but I don't care how it ends, and I don't even hope it will be cool, since, can I stretch this more - Naruto is a pile of crap now.

Edit: And oh yeah, I don't mind fucked up childhoods at all. It actually adds depth, and Naruto manga was once good because it had that detail as well. What I do mind is forcefully being spoon fed some idiotic plot devices to convince me that Kishi is actually doing what he always intended...right. Like that Child of Destiny shit. Or the like.

Yeah, not really sure what the hell got into me. I don't have much interest in the series (or animu/mango in gen n e moar) and haven't thought about it in any depth in a long time. lol.

I remember how many praises you gave that chapter with Kisame's death Shrike, was truly a sight to behold. Shrike, giving Naruto, PRAISES?? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit lol. I believe we can sum up P2 as this, it's horrendous.. yet it has a few shining gems and it wasn't shitty when it first started. P1 was definitely better. I wish Kishi had kept the quality level of P1 in P2.. a man can dream right?

I actually liked Kisames final battle. Didnt really like the fact kishi didnt let kisame fight with samehada or go Tailless bijuu mode. However, kishi gave kisame a chakra absorbing shark jutsu to make up for the loss, but Gai doesnt use chakra so kisames defenses were powerless against Gais Brute force taijutsu Anyways. So, even if kisame was in tailless bijuu mode Gai still wouldve beat him. Without any chakra absorbed by samehada, I doubt it couldve healed him after Gais noon tiger attack.

Pretty much Gai was tailor made to beat a shinobi like kisame so its not a shocking win IMO.

KYF - can you not look at what you wrote and see that the Kisame v. Gai fight was horribly contrived? It was all so easy and set up. That's why it sucked. There is not need for adjustment or one upmanship or even for Gai to face possible death. It was kick kick, let's both try our best move, Gai wins.

The only thing wrong with Kisame vs Guy was that Guy didn't go 8 gates & die. Other than that the fight pretty much went how it was supposed to. Guy outclassed Kisame's arse before using only 6 gates & he did it again using 7. The length of the fight was also fine given the current situation.

Kisame vs Gai is actually ok, but still a wasted potential. Obviously Kishi decided to rush it as fast as possible like he is rushing this entire war arc so far. Kisame had the experience of fighting Gai before, so he should have been aware Gai overpowers him. With the amount of chakra Kisame had, plus the fact they were on an island surrounded by water I am surprised Kisame didn't try some mass water clone jutsu, and a giant water wall or some massive water barrier. It would make the work harder for Gai because Gai would have to go through all that to find Kisame, while Kisame could have been chilling diving underwater. Still the fight was ok because it was in Kisame character to try his best move on Gai, he was kind of a head on fighter. All in all, Kisame who had the bijuu lvl chakra did one move and lost.
That fight puts Gai on beast lvl, he should be able to beat anyone in that case. He didn't even go 8 gates.

We know each beast gets progressively stronger with each additional tail. His clone that had one third of his original chakra was compared to part one Naruto who was also a chakra beast (I think Neji even said he has more chakra than Naruto). I am not counting the kyuubi here. Base Naruto was able to do 1000 clones in part one. Kisame was able to create massive water out of nowhere and I think that is a big deal since second hokage created less water than that and Oro was complimenting him on that, Kisame did even more and wasn't tired. So he has a lot of chakra that he never used fully in a fight.
Maybe in the fight against Gai he had less than normal because he didn't have samehada, I don't know. In any case, you don't need to have a lot of chakra to defeat someone that does. There are other factors, like skill and efficiency. Though logically if someone is very skillful, smart, efficient plus has a gigantic chakra then he will win against the guy that has all that and lacks the big chakra. Though there are also other factors like luck and personality and all that.

That description is still kinda vague though, and can be interpreted many ways. Depending on whether you mean stronger then the 'average' kage or stronger then the strongest kage's. Because the strongest kage's have been shown to pimp slap bijuu's.

IMO, every claim and boast at this stage of the series should be taken with a lot of salt, because we have nobodies pulling amazing stuff from their asses and people who have been hyped to hell and back and doing little to nothing. So anyone's power goes by the convenience of the plot/executives.

Her taijutsu is shit. She has never shown any kind of technique like true taijutsu users like Gai and Lee, her entire style depends on landing a lucky punch somehow. Given Gai's recent feats he would mop the floor with her face. Hell, any decent character makes her look like shit at this time.

As for Kabuto, if he is half the shinobi Oro was in his current state the only way Tsunade would stand a chance is if Kishi massively gimps him ( totally possible since he did it through out the war so far ). We all know what would have happened in that Sannin battle if Oro had use of his arms.

All the chicks in this manga are terrible. I still like Hinata because of what she had the guts to do for Naruto, and while Mei has not been ruined yet, this being Kishi I have lowered my expectations regarding her to bottom of the barrel lvls.

I have no probelem with what choji did though. Choji's jutsu multiply his strength, which isn't too shabby to begin with. Butterfly mode gives him 100 times his normal strength, which could be comparable to 7 or 8 gates. So him bulldozing the kyuubi bro's was legitimate IMO.

I would generally with this, but the statement about the effects of opening the 8 gates was made a long time ago in the manga. Back before the armadillo dicks, hugs and rainbows, child of prophesy, and other general faggotry that's infested Part 2.

So I don't think the "8 gates make you stronger then a kage" statement was hype per se . More like an idea kishi decided to ignore (or forget) for a while. Ya' know like naruto changing the Hyuuga destiny and all that jazz, that will never happen.
