Regardless of naruto's Rasengan and the fact that he beat neji and kiba is he really the strongest in the team?

I think so, I thought the fact of the power he displayed in the very last fight with Sasuke really put him over the top. I don't think any of them are capable of doing what him and Sasuke were doing.

Although Naruto is an idiot, he has the kyuubi's powers to protect him from harm...

I also think Naruto is the strongest in the team because Shikamaru put him in the middle in the beginning if I'm not mistaking to give help in each direction, and you don't leave that to the weakest. And the fact he doesn't use his head enough, I agree in some way. When he fought the Chuunin from the country of Rain he was smart enough to see the crack in the sword, and use his powers on that, the only fight(s) where he was not thinkin was when fighting Haku.

These are the reasons Shikamaru picked each person for the team (even though Naruto's on the team cuz he was recommended by the 5th). And by Neji's skill I mean fighting prowess.

aaahhhmm for me all of then are strong... they are just equal... it really doesn't totally mean that having a powerful jutsu means ur strong, how you think and how you manage to defeat your opponent is what really matters!!! :)

My favorite out of the group is Neji, because of his ecpert skills. It's actually hard to decide who is the strongest... but I would say Naruto, with us a bit unfair advantage of having Kyuubi powers as protection.

naruto is probably the strongest... you say he doesn't use his head in battle?? i agree that sometimes he does rush into things a lot, but if you watch his episodes he really is a genius at fighting tactics. For instance, with the battle with Zabuza, he's the one that came up witht he plan to turn into those weapons. In the battle with Kiba he turns into akimaru and tricks kiba. In the battle with Neji he makes a kage bunshin of himself and hides in the hole. I think he uses his head a lot... never ceases to amaze me... But yeah, and also im a new member, hello everyone :D

I know I know what you are saying but we all must keep in mind that Naruto is still a genin, I don't want to say it is allowed for him to be dumb, but you can't expect him to be along the lines of Shika or Neji. True Neji is also a genin, but only because he hadn't gotten over his family history so he wasn't thinking in terms of protecting people if he was in charge. All the genin have 1 or 2 things that they must work on before they become Chuunin, Naruto's is using his head. I guess what I am trying to say, is that we should put kid gloves on when we talk about the genin. I do expect big things from Neji though, because ever since the fight with Naruto he has really made me start liking him.

I guess I am the only one who believes this, but I think Lee can beat Neji. The move that he did to Gaara after unlocking the gates would have crushed Neji, because unlike the fight with Naruto he never would have seen it coming so he wouldn't know when to start his whirlwind.

I think it really depends on the enemy. Think about it, Naruto can't do a thing to that spider guy, only Neji could fight him since he can use his chakra to break the webs, the others can't do that. And Shikamaru he isn't stronger than Naruto but he's very smart, he can outsmart Naruto and beat him. So it really depends on the opponent.

he's not the smartest.. he doesn't have the most talent.... he doesn't have a very ride variety of jutsus... but he's still the greatest I guess....

i dont know i still dont think he is the greatest....he has this thing in him that he HAS to win....and thats why he actually never lost...i mean he always found a way to win and yet...i think neji beats him....he has strength..power...a very good brain and EYES lol...but no seriously he is great and especially after the exam...during the exam he was all like taking revenge-ish thing and destiny but the fight proved that he thinks while he is fighting now just flahing around all the move he knows which is exaclt what naruto does...so ill go with neji...shika could acutally be strong but as he says: "its to bothersome"

yea but he could defeat naruto but can he defeat the kyuubi ... when sasuke got his third level sharingan when he was fighting against naruto just before he went to orochimaru he managed to block all naruto punches as he could predict where they could go but kyuubi's chakra moved on his own will so i dun think shika could defeat naruto :p

I agree.....i think that it would be a bit harder especially that shika doesnt even have like a sharingan or anything unless he figures out a patter or smthg imposiible like that and finds away to fight him....but then again i really doubt shika and naruto will fight....even if theyre doing the chuunin exam well shika already passed so they wont fight lol

Sasuke is a lazy git who went to get power fast through curse seal level 2. What's more, he had fully developed Sharingan. Naruto had no props. And he damn near won. Naruto should hae won though... Sasuke didn't really demonstrate alot of strength before.

You can' say it's Naruto because the 'Kyuubi' really isn't one of the Konoha 5, now is it? But, I'd have to put Choji as the 'Strongest' just in terms of raw strength. Neji would follow in terms of chakra strength and then the other three could argue over it for all I care. (Which I'm pretty sure Kiba and Naruto would)

Well it seems that it is a one sided argument and I am the same. Naruto is by far the strongest, however it takes him time to develop his powers thus in a regular fight or practice fight against some of the other team members I think that naruto would win but only after getting caught in some stupid and obvious traps say that of Shikimarus.

Yes, strength means nothing if your stupid in battle. Maybe Shikamaru could beat him on intellect...or anyone else for that matter.

Anyway, I don't think Naruto is the strongest. I think this applies to real life too, what I'm about to say. A one on one fight never determines the true strength or skill of a person. Their ability to work in a team is what makes them great.

yup!!! 4 me naruto also is not the strong 1... shikamaru i will choose. in tat world not only strong can be the king. but they need smart also. if u not smart, u will easile fall in other ppl trap then the answer is died... shikamaru can use his justu to control ppl movement n if he train hard he can use it to kill ppl also...althought he cannot kill tat flute woman...but is was because he is still a kid.
