I have a slow dial-up conection. Itz gay! It takes so long to load webpages and it takes really really long to download things. It gets really annoying! I live in this place where they're just building the cable wires in the ground...and I 'm still waiting for it!

I got a cable modem routed through 3 computers. So I guess I got 1/3 cable speed...? Still better than dial-up.

I am on a Super JANet connection, although the internet connectino is really stable and fantastic, the network I'm connected to is appalingly unstable, about as stable as an Elephant stood on a bar, which isn't very stable. The network is run by idiots which means that it takes forever for anyone on the Resnet to get online, and do anything with any stability, where as all the commputers in the computer labs and such, where they don't have one cable between the lot of them, have a fine internet connection.

Super JANet is an educational connection in the UK, 10Mbps.

I have Dsl Its works great. But down with 56k users ahhhhh....lol

yeah its very costly in our country,most people can't afford it...damn corruption!I also have dial up by the way...

get cable its cheaper than dsl ( the installation i guess). if you guys want to check your bandwitch speed go here: www.bandwidth.com and go to speed test near bottom. or go to: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ they're somewhat accurate.
i have cable and my speed is.. 1466 down / 212 up kbps. My internet provider has like 2 or 3 different cable speeds to choose from and i think my mom chose the cheapest or slowest one. idk. My "bandwidth capacity" is 1.71 Mbps. And to be honest with you guys, i have no clue what that means. Im just lucky to have cable modem ^^

Cable is not that bad, but the bad parts are: some ports are closed, I have a static IP, shared between 500 computers or more, ISP sucks
Advantages: I use up all the bandwidth ^_^ and if I download around 1 GB overnight, it will be complete in the morning >=P haha be jelous! *or dont be* (actually be) >D

i got wireless internet which is connected to cable internet. [both me and my parents have wireless internet while the computer in my living room has cable (adelphia cable)].

as for by bandwidth, my wireless internet is 449.31 kbps

I got DSL from SBC and the stupid thing is that they once put a restriction on my speed so for like 4 months i was downloading at 6 kbs/sec instead of 128+ kbs/sec glad i got that cleared up

That is expensive...how fo you pay for it. Normally it can be 200 a month.

T1 is a direct conection to a service provider which allows only you to access and download/ upload on it. A direct link to the service provider instead of the routed systems.
