The Big Bang Theory

I was wondering what people thought about the Big bang theory, i personally do not believe that the entire universe could have been created by one big ass Explosion, it jsut doent make any sense i think we were put here by a greater being but this isn treally about whether or not we were put here by someone, but whther or not you belive this big bang theory.

Well, it's either that or the Oscillating Universe (which I think is the one where you believe the universe has always existed and there was no beginning, there has been no change). There's another one in which the universe expands and collapses, expands and collapses, etc. I believe in the Big Bang, but only because a better theory hasn't really been created (at least one I know of). When you look at it from a scientific scale, it makes sense, but if you just think that it was a huge explosion, then it doesn't.

No, I understand what youre saying, but what im saying is that theyre saying that nothing was there at all, there awas no existance what-so-ever, and a big explosion, happened out of nowhere for no reason, (because theyre could have been anything there to start it anyways), created the universe taht theory really doesnt make any sense to me, it sounds like some scientist was having an acid trip and came to that conclusion.

Just because you personally are incapable of understand the vast complexities of astrophysics and the parts that are guess work, and how it can be applied using the knowledge that we DO have, does NOT mean that it could not happen nor that it is not feasible.

Wow that's a run on sentence.

Just Google for some of the information or take a class on it. Then you might be able to grasp some of the information.

Yes...that I agree with. It just doesn't make any sense for me in THAT case. But my science teacher (this was a year ago so I don't really remember) said that there was crap floating around and it came together, went bang, wala you have the universe. I guess the crap just kind of existed without an explanation. *shrugs*

I do believe in the big bang theory and i have taken courses that touch on it. it wasn't just an ordinary expolision. it was a reaction between two types of energy that spawned the earth. i can't remember all the details and i'm too lazy too look through my notes but just google it. be careful though because a lot of what is out there is crap

Excuse my language.

Why the fuck would god do that? If he has the power to create things at will, he could create the entire universe himself.

It would be like if you were standing by the garbage, walked across the room away from the garbage, and asked some one to throw a piece of paper in the garbage.

besides, it said in the bible he built the world in 7 days [aka earth] not the universe.....LMAO

I dont know that much about the Big Bang but these days its science ruling over religion

I try not to think about how the universe was created since it will just have me asking more confusing question about life...

Wow, you know you're a newbie when you have to read that to get what they mean.

Moving on, I don't see why people can't believe in both the big bang and the Bible's version. I mean, in science they talk about the explosion, formation of the earth, the earth was all water, then there was land, etc. But in the Bible's story, God formed everything, the sun, He made land appear, etc.

If you ask me, up until the creation of humans, they both follow about the same pattern (aside from the amount of time). I don't rememeber exact details, but that is the feel I always had.
